Updated with 5.4 content
For Mists of Pandaria rare elites are making a serious come back and will now be a significant part of the landscape. They will be challenging and rewarding to every player, no matter what your focus in the game may be.
While these silver dragons have been an ever present part of World of Warcraft with achievements such as Bloody Rare and Frostbitten. Their presence was significantly diminished in Cataclysm, to the point where it was unlikely that most players would ever encounter one, or even be aware of their existence.
Now that has all changed, with over 60 new elites through out pandaria, 5 new achievements for hunting them, and some of the best loot you could ask for. You'll definatly want to be prepared as you make your way through Pandaria.
(New) 5.4 - Timeless Isle, Rare Elites
Top of page
Patch 5.4 has brought us another new island to explore, and this time even more rare elites than previous patches.
In addition, patch 5.4 has made finding the rare elites you're looking for that little bit easier.
All rare elites are now marked on the mini map with a skull
, so now when you're near one you can tell easily without worrying about NPCscan or similar tracking addons.
For the average PC the skull on the minimap will actually appear
before
the npc is registered in your creature cache file. In short, in most instances you can see the location of a rare elite on the minimap before you're alerted to it via addons, making them near obsolete.
The timeless isle it's self has 30 new rare elites and even more rare encounters across the island, ensuring that there is always something to hunt.
If this weren't enough, when you reach honored with Shaohao, you are able to spawn additional random rare elites at the Three-Breeze Terrace in the north west with
挑战卷轴
, purchasable for 0
永恒铸币
.
Much like on the Isle of Thunder, rewards are given out individually to anyone attacking the elites, and as before this applies cross faction allowing you to collaborate on kills.
Each rare will reward all attackers with several
次级好运护符
.
Along with these you'll receive anywhere between
100
and
1000
永恒铸币
depending on the difficulty of the elite.
All the rare elites also have the potential to drop a piece of
Timeless Loot
or a
不朽之责
allowing you to make item level 496 and 535 epic gear.
In addition to these generic island-wide drops, most of the elites have their own unique items which you can find in the table further below.

(New) 5.4 - Timeless Isle, Treasure Chests
Top of page
Along with the rare elites to hunt, there are a large number of treasure chests liberally scattered around the island.
The contents of these range from a few timeless coins, to a few hundred coins and several pieces of armor.
Unfortunately most of these chests can only be looted once, but as you'll see below six of them will re-spawn for you every week.

Shan'ze Ritual Stones Drop Limit
Just to clarify on drop chances for ritual stones and keys, you can only obtain one
雷神宫殿钥匙
(aka treasure room) from any creature on the island, including the Isle of Thunder Rare Elites. Once you’ve already looted one off of a creature, no more will drop from creatures for your character that week. Additional keys can potentially drop from other select sources, but are extremely rare and not something you can try to farm.
Similarly, you can only obtain one
山泽仪式石
from an Isle of Thunder Rare Elite per week. You'll still be able to collect more from other sources, though.
You are also limited to looting one Trove of the Thunder King chest each week, after which they will become invisible to you.

5.2 - Isle of Thunder, Summoned Elites
Top of page
Once you collect 3
山泽仪式石
from either the rare elites above, or from rare treasure chests, you can use them at a Ritual Stone to summon a 5 man group elite.
Some of these are significantly harder than others, with Cera and the Incomplete Drakkari Colossus being soloable by many classes, and many more being 2 mannable given the right gear and spec.
These group elites are required for the weekly group quest
雷电之王的勇士
, and for the achievements

Warlord Teng's main attack is a frontal aoe every 20 seconds, which hits for around 200000 shadow damage.
This attack has a three second cast making it easy to avoid, however it leaves behind a large aoe for 1 minute which also does significant shadow damage.
Every 20 seconds Teng will activate a Mogu Sarcophagus around the walls of the room. This will cause a spirit to spawn and target you with Drain Spirit for 5 seconds. If this channel completes you will be sucked into the Mogu Sarcophagus and take 180000 nature damage over 10 seconds. The channel can be broken by line of sight, causing a small spirit wrath aoe to spawn.
寇多克
Kor'dok:
狂怒冲锋
Furious Charge
唤雷术
Call Thunder
战意之怒
Tinzo:
瓦解
Disrupt
烈焰爆炸
烈焰弹幕
You start the fight against Kor'dok alone, and wont have to deal with Tinoz until later.
Every 12 seconds Kor'dok will use Furious Charge on a random target slowing their movement speed by 35%, and attempt to follow up with a small conal attack which damages and stuns.
At 50% he will stun you with Battle Rage and summon Tinzo into the fight, who appears at the Ritual Stone with 50% hp.
From here you will have to deal with both targets until Kor'dok dies, at which point Tinzo will despawn.
When Tinzo appears he will cast Disrupt on nearby targets, causing all healing to be redirected to himself. This is dispellable.
While active he will chain cast Fire Burst on his target, pausing only to channel Flame Barrage.
克洛斯的回响
幽灵恐龙奔踏
惊骇咆哮
吞噬
克洛斯之怒
During your fight with Echo of Kros, he will call stampedes of spirit dinosaurs to run around underneath him.
If any of these spirits run through you, they deal 25,000 nature damage and pacify you for 5 seconds, leaving you unable to attack or cast spells.
During this stampede Kros will cast Ghastly Roar, fearing everyone in combat for 3 seconds. Therefore it is ideal to have a ranged dps, or a great dino-dodging melee to interrupt the fear.
Every 50 seconds throughout the fight, a Skumblade Scavenger will appear next to the Ritual Stone. At this point Kros will break off his attacks and attempt to eat the Saurok, restoring 20% of his health unless you kill the Saurok before he reaches it. Once you kill the Saurok you will have to deal with Kros' short enrage, which is dispellable.
You can tank Kros away from the altar to give you time to kill the Saurok.
驭电者祖勒
闪电链
电击
闪电力场
闪电元素
81k hp
静电电能
While fighting Ju'le you may have to use the near by Lightning Rod, so unlike many other elites you will have to remain near his spawn.
Ju'le's main attack, Chain Lightning, needs to be interrupted when ever possible.
Each time Ju'le successfully casts Chain Lightning, anyone hit by it will gain a stack of Electrified causing 10000 nature damage per second.
If any of your group get too many stacks of this debuff to be healable, they will have to remove it by using the Lightning Rod. While this removes the debuff, it also causes a Lightning Elemental to spawn and attack you.
Each Lightning Elemental melee's for around 20000 nature damage, and each additional elemental that spawns increases the damage of all other elementals by 20%.
崎砮
闪电箭
闪电之刺
闪电打击
Casts Lightning Bolt on his target for around 60k damage, and summons 3 Saurok at a time from the nearby cave to attack you.
He will cast Lightning Prod at the Saurok, damaging them, but empowering them to do more melee damage. At this point you need to slow them and kite them to prevent the lightning chaining to you, and to avoiding high additional damage from the empowered Saurok.
古代魔古守卫
雷电之王的斗篷
Mantle of the Thunder King
Floor tiles:
抵消魔法
- Cloud
远古火焰
- Fire
魔古能量
- Lightning
Once engaged, the Ancient Mogu Guardian will buff himself with Mantle of the Thunder King, causing him to deal aoe nature damage and debuff players making them take 20% increased nature damage.
Cloud / Air tiles on the floor cast Nullify Magic when someone stands on them, this removes all buffs from anyone on the tile. When the Guardian gains Mantle, take him to a cloud tile and make him walk over it to remove the buff. After 30 seconds the Guardian will re-cast Mantle of the Thunder King, forcing you to move to a new cloud tile and wipe his buff again.
Dispelling the Guardians buff is simple enough, however when you use the ritual stone only 8 air tiles will spawn with him, and each cloud tile is consumed when used to dispell the Guardian. This results in a four minute soft enrage.
Use the other tiles to kill him before you run out of dispells.
织风者阿克利艾蒙
阵风临近
升空
翱翔的雄鹰
勒紧
Plucked
During the encounter Akil'amon will cast Impending Gust in an aoe every 25 seconds. This effect heavily slows the movement speed of any players caught in the winds, and if you fail to move away, the Gust will deal large amounts of nature damage and boost you up in the air, causing you to take extra fall damage when you land.
His second attack is to cast Lift Off and summon a Soaring Eagle into the fight to attack a player. Once the eagle arrives it will pick the player up, and lift them in the air, dealing 4% of their health in damage every second untill you kill it. Once killed you will be released, and again fall to the ground taking additional damage.

双刃痛击
冲锋
Charge Impact
反射装甲涂层
The Direhorn Cera is loosely modeled on the ToT boss Horridon and shares the same main abilities.
The most significant of these being Double Edged Thrash. This is a conal aoe both in front of and behind Cera hitting for arond 100k per second to anyone caught in it.
During the fight Cera will also pick a random party member to charge at, dealing moderate damage to her target and anyone near by if she lands on them, though with a 3 second cast this is rather easy to avoid.
Her only unique ability is the use of Reflective Armor Plating, which despite the name
deflects
all incoming damage from the front for 5 seconds, rather then
reflecting
it.
不完整的达卡莱巨像
死亡凝视
裂地猛击
震荡波
火焰喷射器
火焰喷射器
This is the top half of a Drakkari Colossus that remains stationary on the nearby altar.
Once engaged the Colossus continually tries to attack a target in melee. If at any time there are no available targets in range, it will begin casting Death Stare at it's current highest threat, causing massive damage.
As long as there is at least one player in melee range, it will continue it's basic melee attacks in combination with it's other 3 main abilities.
Ranged can stand to the sides of the altar to avoid all his attacks.

The Warbringers can spawn as one of three types, each riding a different color direhorn. When killed they will drop the color direhorn that they are riding.

翡翠原始恐角龙缰绳
The Warbringers will remain fixed at their spawn points, marked on the map below, untill killed.
The Warscouts however will start to move off on long specific patrols once they spawn. These patrol routes are often along the in-game roads/paths and can take them anywhere up to a mile from their original spawn position.
These troll elites are a little stronger, and have higher hit points than previous elites you may have faced. However both elites are vulnerable to slows and stuns and so are easily kitable for most classes. While it may take you some time to kill them, they should be soloable for many players.
Thankfully, this time they appear to have no leash distance, so will not be reset by kiting or by others taunting off you and running away.
赞达拉战争使者
Level 92 Elite.
21 million hp and melee attack for ~100,000. Each will spawn with 4 of the 5 buffs below.
赞达拉战斗斥候
Level 91.
5.3 million hp and melee attack for ~25,000. Each will spawn with 3 of the 5 buffs below.
部落面具
-
恐惧面容
Cast on the current highest threat and fears the target for 8 seconds.
This ability is interrupt-able and should be stopped to prevent tank fears.
星图
-
流星雨
Gains a buff which calls down a rain of meteors for 10 seconds. Each meteor his for ~150k damage when it lands, but fall slowly enough to avoid.
These spawn around the npc's location, so you cannot drag them out of the area of effect
甲虫胸针
-
圣甲虫群
Summons around 10 small scarabs with 40k health, these only hit for around 500 so are little more than an annoyance.
雷霆符印
-
雷霆碾压
90 degree conal aoe in front of the npc with a short ~20 yard range.
Very simple to move out of and avoid the damage, however hits for 250k damage if you fail to move.
(can hit and aggro friendly npc's)
灵魂魅惑
-
复仇之魂
Summons
复仇之魂
at it's location with 4 million hp to assist in combat for 20 seconds before it despawns.
The spirit hits for around 100k, but is incredibly slow and vulnerable to long duration crowd control, so can easily be avoided.

5.1 - Krasarang, PvP Elites
Top of page
In patch 5.1 - Landfall, 6 new rare elites have been introduced to Krasarang, 3 Horde, and 3 Alliance.
The title of this section may be a misnomer to some, as attacking these elites will
not
flag you for PvP, however they are in a heavy PvP area, so expect some trouble from your faction counterparts.
As with all rare elites each of these PvP elites has a chance to drop
一小袋货物
and
染血的卷轴
.
However unlike most other rares these six also drop high level epics, these and the bonus of a guaranteed honor point token makes them highly valuable to many players.

5.0 - Glorious, Rare Elite Maps
Top of page
A lot of people who are interested in hunting rare elites will probably try to do so while they level. If you're one of them, or if you're just looking for the closest thing to kill, here are the maps and the elites seperated by questing area.
For each area you will find a map with the locations of each elite in the zone. Along side are a list of targeting commands, in case you want to make a macro to help find them.
If an elite* has more than one pin, it's because they have multiple spawn points or a patrol route.
Each pin is clickable and will take you to the wowhead page for that elite as a shortcut.

If you're using a macro to help you find an elite, or if you're afk spamming a macro, try adding this second macro to hit at the same time. It will tell you audibly when you've found an elite.
If you're afk and have chat time stamps on, you can use it to find an elite's spawn time.
In case it helps your timing, a dead mob with no loot on it will despawn in 2 minutes, and one with a blue item left on it will despawn in 30.

5.0 - Glorious, Rare Elite Abilities
Top of page
There are 8 different types of rare elites that you can face, one of each type in every zone.
They vary in level by zone, starting at level 85 and cap out at level 91 with 4 million HP.
They currently give around 150-300k exp (level depending) and have approximatly a 1 hour respawn time.
Their auto attacks do little damage (around 5k), so one of the best tactics, even for ranged dps, can be to stay in melee in order to avoid their stronger ranged attacks. Be ready to heal if you start taking any of their special attacks as more than one will likely kill you.
They range in difficulty depending on your class and the type of enemy, from the Mogu Sorcerers being trivialy easy, to the Pandaren and the Jinyu being significantly harder, and almost impossible without an interrupt or a good stun.
Whenever possible it is best to fight them in an open area free of other mobs, as you'll want the space to avoid their aoe abilities. Don't hesitate to use all your major cooldowns, the fight can quickly turn on you even just from lag.
Hozen:
香蕉回旋击
- Creates a whirling banana that spins along the ground away from him in a line and then back again causing
香蕉回旋击
to anyone in it's path, move to the side rather than away.
投掷污物
- Increasing damage on you by up to 11% depending on the elite's level.
发疯
- Causes him to jump around the area dealing damage with
发疯
if he lands on you. Will rarely hit you if you're near his start point before he starts jumping.
Jinyu:
水箭
- Basic spell damage main attack that needs to be soaked
(do not waste interrupt)
.
洪流
- (28% hp per second) A cast time and then a channeled attack that will kill his main target unless major cooldowns are used.
Needs to be interrupted.
祈雨舞
- A channeled aoe that throws out blobs of water in the area around him, simply run away from them to avoid the damage, or stun him mid cast.
Mantid:
旋风
- Creates a tornado where you're standing that whirls around near it's spawn point. Needs to be moved away from otherwise it inflicts
强猛气流
.
风歌
- Buffs himself doing more melee damage and preventing kiting, though occasionally he'll stop chasing to cast his other 2 abilities.
剑刃乱舞
- A brutal conal aoe with a short cast time before it starts. Needs to be run from or stunned to stop.
Mogu Sorcerer:
黑暗之箭
- Auto attacks with his wand instead of in melee.
暗影箭
- Basic spell damage main attack that can be soaked or interruptd.
虚空之云
- Creates a persistent shadow aoe that is cast on the floor at the players current position at the
end
of the cast.
Mogu Warrior:
毁灭之弧
- A 180° frontal attack, if you're in melee you can stand behind him, ranged can run away.
召唤魁麟
- Summons an add to assist him, has little health and does minor damage, can be killed or cc'd untill it disappears.
泰坦之力
- A periodic enrage buff cast on himself increasing damage by 5% and stacking.
Pandaren:
神鹤引项踢
- Cannot be interrupted, only stunned / cc'd.
Causes
神鹤引项踢
to anyone still in melee. Needs to be run from as soon as they start casting.
真气爆裂
- (2,450% ~300k damage at level 91) Used if you are more than 15 yards away. Run back in after crane kick
(do not waste interrupt)
.
治疗之雾
- Heals the pandaren for 30% of their health.
Needs to be interrupted.
Saurok:
恶毒撕裂
- Stacks and does damage over time.
消失
- Must be hit as soon as he stealths to stop him using Smoked Blade.
烟熏之刃
- Used when he comes back if you've allowed him to stealth.
吊钩
- Used on players attacking him if are more than 20 yards away.
Yaungol:
牛蹄践踏
- Small aoe stomp for heavy damage, simple to move from.
急速冲锋
- Charges his target if they run more than 20 yards away.
吼叫之怒
- Increased damage but slowed movement speed, can be soaked or run from.
# Additional Elites
Top of page
There are also a small number of additional elites around panadaria. I'm not going to call them 'rare' elites as they have a golden dragon around their portrait, rather than a silver one, so for the moment I'll give them their own section untill their roll becomes clearer.
Among them are 6 elite Makrura scattered around Pandaria. They make up a set culminating in the summoning of a 2-3 man elite in Krasarang.

Great guide plenty of information and I really like the lots of neat items blizz has added into the game for MoP. Also wondering why none of the rare mobs in krasarang wilds don't drop any of the specific items (e.g.
宁静生长种子
) that all the other mobs seem to drop.

I am quite curious of those two epic bags. What exactly makes them epic ? Hope they will be "worthy" of it.

Amazing guide, Lore. I have bookmarked it, so I can hunt down them in downtime after MoP hits live :D Thank you very much.

Lore, you are amazing. Thank you so much for this guide!
My only suggestion is to add hyperlinks to the Wowhead pages for each of the rare mobs, so that it's easier to get the NPC ID for npcscan.

And another rare guide added to my favorites list. Any idea what rares could be tamed by hunters yet?

Where could we find a mantid in Jade Forest...
On another note, all the loot from the Jade Forest rares includes an epic weapon, and blue legs, plus the bag. The epic is ilvl 420 whereas the legs are ilvl 400.

I can confirm that there have been some changes with how rares work in the most recent patch.
For one thing, Krasarang rares are starting to get unique loot. Torik-Ethis dropped a pair of BoE ilevel 440 pants called "Torik-Ethis' Bloodied Legguards." My guess is that just as the Jade Forest drops weapons, this zone will drop armor.
http://i.imgur.com/sCVFQ.jpg
Not all rares drop epic armor, though. Both Courinth Waterstrider and Ruun Ghostpaw still dropped the typical blue armor.
http://i.imgur.com/kvRTw.jpg
http://i.imgur.com/UuM0q.jpg
Ruun Ghostpaw now resides on the top floor of the Temple of the Red Crane, instead of in the center of the ground level. Other rares may have been moved as well; it's hard to know if I'm not finding many because others have killed them or because they have been moved somewhere else.
http://i.imgur.com/eSvCc.jpg
As you may have noticed from the above screenshots, most rares no longer drop those green
一小袋货物
. They're openable, though. I opened a few of the ones I have stockpiled up and all of them said "There is no loot" but on the item's page somebody mentioned finding some crafting materials, so I don't know what to make of it.
On a related note, Townlong Steppes just got much more boring. It appears that rares no longer drop bags, nor any other unique loot. I had all eight bags stockpiled in my bank from when I got Glorious pre-patch, and while all of them are openable now, none have any loot.
http://i.imgur.com/cbxO0.jpg
All in all it seems like they have a ways to go regarding rare loot. In a perfect world every rare would drop a little trinket like the ones from Valley, Kun-Lai, Dread Wastes, and Vale, but that would understandably be a bit much. I just hope they do something about the rares that still drop nothing but a weak blue.
---
EDIT: Just killed Krax'ik in the Jade Forest and received no epic D: Maybe epics are just a low chance now, or maybe they just removed it entirely.
http://i.imgur.com/I9PSA.jpg
---
EDIT #2: I just deleted my Kang's Bindstone (it's unique) and killed Kang once again to see if he still drops it. Short answer: He doesn't. Long answer: Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo my bindstone! I guess they removed fun things from rare loot tables?

When were these drops implemented? I've killed 5 of these rare spawns and they did not drop any of these. I got 4 blue plate pieces and one blue cloth piece.

This is a really nice guide. I noticed that the beginning of your guide has a gigantic link to a MoP database version of your guide, but you can get rid of that ugly thing (if you want) by adding \ anywhere in your guide.
I know the database will be moving to a "live" version very soon so this is entirely optional, but I thought it would be nice to know so that people can have instant access to tooltips and such.
Edit: May I request that you link each NPC in the large table of each individual rare? I only ask this because certain NPCs will have a rather high difficulty level depending on your gear, spec and class and the NPC's level.

For the Makrura Elite:
The map has Damlak and Kishak swapped. When you kill your first one you will get
Troubles from Without
that tells you about the others and where to find them.
Abilities:
Akkalou
- heals herself with Healing Rain, Rejuv, and Healing Touch
Akkalar
- Uses Frost Armor, Earthshield, PW:Shield, and has a CD that reduces damage by 25%
Damlak
- Casts multiple shadow based spells, ex: shadowbolt, Curse of Doom, Curse of Agony.
Clamstok
- Casts Slam and his melee attack hits for 15-20k on mail.
Odd'nirok
- Chain casts Waterbolt, does ~30k frost damage.
Kishak
- Uses Blessing of Kings, Bloodlust.
Tactics:
Akkalou - Interrupt HT and move out of the Healing Rain
Akkalar - Use your hardest hitting spells and CDs as needed to out damage his heal from Earthshield
Damlak - Subject to school lockouts, so interrupt the first spell you can and keep him interrupted
Clamstok - Kite him.
Odd'nirok - Interrupt his cast when you can, but he is immune to lockouts, so it is a dps race.
Kishak - Another dps race, dispel his bloodlust if you can, dispelling BoK is pointless it is automatically reapplied.
For
Clawlord Kril'mandar
if you bring a friend you should be able to just burst him down. He drops
Lobstmourne
which is currently able to be used in either hand (even though the wowhead viewer shows it as bugged, it works properly in game).

Was going to ask for, but I see you are already on plan to add their normal blues aswell, I gues they all should be in line of the ID, at least Jade Forest ones are all from 87586 to 87594.
And I gues it would be good to ask Wowhead staff to set tab on those rares and items to this guide, if it's possable :D

Alright, so I am currently working on this achievement, quite successfully. By far, this has been the easiest rare spawn farm. Unfortunately, I fear this achievement may be WAY too easy. On this day, (10/2/12) I've found the following rare spawns TWICE between 11:30 PM (PST) and 2:21 AM (PST) (10/3/12) Either as corpses, some personally killed twice. Karr the Darkener, Bonobos, Nalash Verdantis, Spriggin, Yul Wildpaw, Dak the Breaker, Krol the Blade, Salyin Waterscout, and Gaarn the Toxic. That's correct, in less than 3 hours... Those rares ALL spawned TWICE. Server: Aggramar, no maintenance... no reset.

An important note regarding the abilities that are recommended to be stunned: stunning the mob during the cast time will only delay the cast. As soon as the stun wears off, they will just cast it again. You need to wait until the mob begins the channeled portion of the spell to stun them in order to stop the ability completely.

Cheers on a great guide!

I've been soloing the rares in townlong stepps on my fury warrior every day and the last 2 days the blue big bags hasn't drop at all at the rate it used to. Killed about 20+ rares i would say in the zone and only 1 enchanting big bag dropped.
I think they are still dropping but at a very low %, All im getting now are mainly blue necks

If I may make a request for this excellent guide...
I'm currently working on Could We Find More Like That? I'm trying to find a list that correlates champions of specific races with their locations.
Unfortunately, all I can find are champions by location, or champions by race - no easy way to cross-reference.

It seems that some rares in a single zone share a specific type of item as their special loot.
Jade Forest - Weapons.
Krasarang Wilds - Leggings.
Townlong Steppes - Bags of Items.
Valley of Four Winds - Items and Trinkets that benefit you in battle.
Vale - A bunch of vanity and fun items.
While other zones share an assortment:
Kun-Lai Summit - An assortment of vanity items, vanity trinkets, reputation increase, ect.
Dread Wastes - Mostly items only useable in Pandaria; among vanity items and other things.

After farming rares for a few weeks now I've noticed the following pattern:
6 of the 8 rares in a zone all spawn at the same time, which 6 spawn is random.
Each zone is on its own timer, but all the rares in a given zone are on the same timer.
If a rare isn't one of the 6 picked randomly, it won't have a chance to spawn until the next wave of 6.
Anyone else's observations agree or disagree with this?

-This information has
NOT
been disproved (10/24/2012)
All rares in a zone spawn at the same time.
All rares have a 1 hour respawn time (+/- 30? minutes)
The respawn time (1 hour) for ALL of the rares does not start until every rare in the zone is killed.
Between 1 and 2 rares in a zone can will occasionally skip a spawn cycle and will not spawn with the rest of the rares in the zone.
(There are possible exceptions to this (such as if a specific rare has been up for a long time and all others have been dead for a bit) but I haven't had the time or environment to test it yet. Public feedback highly encouraged on this point)
(
Full guide to MoP Rares
)
Spawning Example:
If you have six rares in a zone (Rare A, Rare B, Rare C, Rare D, Rare E, and Rare F) none of them will respawn until they are all killed and they will respawn 1 hour after the last one is killed.
This is why it APPEARS that they individually have a 1-2 hour respawn time but some people report that it can take up to three or even four hours.
So:
Rare A killed at 10:00am
Rare B killed at 10:01am
Rare C killed at 10:05am
Rare D killed at 10:06am
Rare E killed at 10:20am
Rare F killed at 10:45am
They will all respawn at approximately
11:45am
. Now there easily could be a +/- 30 minute factor in the code. Blizzard usually adds some form of RNG to this type of spawning so it wouldn't surpise me if there was such a mechanic in this as well. Best advice that I can give anyone camping Sulik is to go around the zone and make sure all the other rares are killed quickly once he spawns so that his spawn will reset asap.
If you have information relating to spawn times with regard to killing and not killing other rares in the zone please respond so that we can refine this post.

I've been trying to figure out the spawn pattern of rarespawns by myself for the past week and a half. It never occurred to me to check here for the findings of others. Based on my own theories and findings, as well as those here, I can come to certain conclusions:
Rarespawns spawn in ZONE WIDE waves.
Between FIVE and EIGHT rarespawns can spawn in EACH wave (a rarespawn skipping a wave is what results in a seemingly longer spawn timer).
The timer for respawn begins not when the first rarespawn is killed, but the last (check your zones, people, if you're hunting specific ones).
There is, as is typical with Blizzard, a small RNG component to the respawn timer. So far it seems to be a minimum of FIFTY MINUTES.
Before posting my findings, I ran one final test. It was as follows:
Empty night in Townlong Steppes, and I manage to kill seven of the eight rarespawns in the zone, while noticing that the eighth is also up. I leave the last one (Norlaxx) up for FOURTY minutes beyond the time the first (Lon the Bull) was killed. After killing Norlaxx, I was pretty confident in the theory and took off to Kun'lai to hunt rares there (where people had neglected to kill Ahone, Nessos, Ski'thik, and Norlaxx the Outcast). After clearing them out, I returned to Lon's spawn point and hopped between his and Kah'tir's spawns until sixty one minutes had elapsed from the time Norlaxx died, at which point EVERY rare in the zone respawned.
After clearing those out, I went back to Kun'lai and found that the rarespawns there had repopped; 50 minutes after my last kill. All rarespawns were up except for Nessos the Oracle. I followed that up with Jade Forest, where I found five of the eight possible there. I killed time in other zones, making it back to Townlong at the 52 minute mark, where Lon the Bull (and his seven friends!) had already respawned.
Now, this doesn't confirm the five to eight spawn, but I also don't believe Townlong Steppes follows that same pattern due to the nature of the rare drops from the rare mobs in that zone (they're pretty much always useful, whereas the vanity items are unique). That's something that will warrant further testing, which I'll work on whenever I can find the zones empty enough again.

If you use add-ons NPCscan and want to delete creaturecache.wdb files without to go into folder every time to delete this you can easy make a .bat files on your desktop or any place you want.
open notepad and write this:
del "E:\WoW\World of Warcraft\Cache\WDB\enGB\creaturecache.wdb"
and then save files as creaturecache.bat
(( note, you need to write exactly where your WoW folder is ))
Worked fine for me, i use this every time before i start up WoW game.

Great guide!
In going through the list of champions, I've made a number of observations:
All champion loot seems to be unique
- found nowhere else in the game. (though I haven't checked absolutely every item :P)
Zone determines the champion's level
- ascending 85-91 in the order
Jade Forest (85)
Four Winds (86)
Krasarang Wilds (87)
Kun-Lai Summit (88)
Townlong Steppes (89)
Dread Wastes (90)
Eternal Blossoms (91)
Only Lon the Bull bucks the trend by being 88 in Townlong Steppes.
Zone determines the type of special drop each champion has:
Jade Forest = epic weapons
Four Winds = trinkets/items with on-use effects
Krasarang = epic leg armor
Kun-Lai Summit = trinkets/items with on-use effects (and
劫匪的手套
)
Townlong Steppes = 'Big Bag's
Dread Wastes = trinkets/items with on-use effects
Eternal Blossoms = trinkets/items with on-use effects
The
standard
rare items dropped by champions are also determined by zone, and all champions in that zone drop from the same loot table
. Also, all rares are armor items. The slots are:
Jade Forest = Leg (400)
Four Winds = hands (410)
Krasarang Wilds = head (420)
Kun-Lai Summit = wrist (430)
Townlong Steppes = neck (440)
Dread Wastes = chest (440/450)
Eternal Blossoms = back (440).
There are 8 types of champion - one of each in each zone - for 7 examples of each type.
This makes a total of 56 champions to defeat
(and loot).
A couple of errors:
柯尼斯水黾
seems to be missing from your big loot list
(now fixed); and
托里可·伊提斯的镀金腿甲
doesn't seem to drop from Torik-Ethis, but rather from the Big Bags dropped by
诺拉克西
and
卡提尔
(see page). Also, it might be nice to turn the names of the other 'rare elites' into links as well, to make them easier to search. Finally, none of the champions (those involved in the achievements) are actually elite - just rares.

A little anecdotal evidence to support Saldar's theory of the shared re-spawn.
-This information has NOT been disproved (10/24/2012)

I was camping Sulik'shor today on my very very very low population realm (/who'd 2 other people in the zone). I had read the theory about the shared respawns and thought it might be a good time to test it. I did a circuit around the zone twice and checked all the spawns in the valley. None of the rares were up, so I went back to floating over Sulik.
After he spawned and I killed him I did another circuit of the zone, and all of them had spawned.

Obviously this is very difficult to prove, but for the valley at least, I'm starting to think he is right.

However, you are missing
Gokk'lok

I love this guide, and even tho I know where, pretty much all the rares spawn, I still find myself referring back to it to see maybe what a rare I'm about to kill could yield, or just to remind myself exactly where that elusive rare could actually be.

If you would please cite to a source. It's important to know that an NPC spawns another. If THREE NPC's spawn one, this would differ greatly from what you said.
