The tentacles you need to kill are NOT Tentacle of Iso'rath (L85 elites with 387,000 health). You are to kill the tentacles on the ground closer to the area you received the quest from. They are L84 with about 77,000 health. When you kill them, you get quest credit, however they are not lootable.

Would anyone mind telling me how I got this quest? I didn't do any of the previous ones in the series, and I had the quest before I had even ever been to Twilight Highlands...

I have no memory of accepting it either, but I was able to complete it and turn it in/accept the next one.

remember that thing called phasing? when you reach the proper point in the zone's questline (acceptance of The Maw of Madness for the Alliance or The Weeping Wound for the Horde) this quest-giver will be where he's supposed to be.

also, it can be helpful to watch the area around a tentacle for a few minutes; land and attack right after a new wave of soulseekers has run past the tentacle and out of range. this should give you plenty of time to kill it without worrying about adds.

The tentacles are located behind the quest giver at 43,11.

The questgiver uses the wrong form of the word "its" in the quest text.
"It's tentacles have been burstin' from da ground all around us."

Quest seems to be bugged currently. I am unable to target either the elites or normal tentacles.

This particular quest is bugged. I can not target any tentacles to destroy. I have noticed since the pre patch there are numerous quest bugs causing whole questlines to be abandoned. Will they be repaired? Who know there is an achievement bug for a shado pan achievement that's been bugged for two years and no one i have tried to talk to seems to care.

I believe this has been fixed with today's restart. I was able to target and kill all three tentacles today (Tuesday, after restart), but was unable to target them on Saturday, Sunday, or Monday. So, hopefully this has been fixed for everyone and we can all go along our merry way.

Accepted this quest yesterday (11/11/2014) and it was bugged. Couldn't target the tentacles as many of us couldn't. I did not abandon the quest but logged out. Logged back in today (approximately 10-11 hours later) and I was able to target the tentacles and kill them.

This is the solution to this bug:

Use the Looking for Group feature and join random groups. Doing this takes advantage of the cross-realm transfer system and should put you in another realm (hopefully) which gives you a chance to get different tentacles, some bugged and some are not.
*** If you do not get transfered to another server/realm then just try joining another group until you do.

Please up vote so that others can read this. These kinds of bugs are very annoying and can lead to frustration especially since the completion of this quest is needed to continue the quest line.

I can confirm that waiting until Tuesday reset can help, I logged on about 9pm Tuesday NIGHT and there was 2 targetable mobs. Killed both, and when they both spawned I was able to kill the third.

Also a note, I sent a ticket to a GM and didn't even have the option to reopen the ticket. Got the "There is a lot we are working on" generic message.

Anyone have a suggestion on what to do when this is bugged? Should you continue on another quest chain? Which one, where do you start off? I have been all over this island now wasted 5 hours and can't find anything else to do other than repeatable quests.

Just did that quest on kazzak eu, no problem at all. At least had 3 targetable tentacles. So seems to be fixed guys.

Prior to the expansion (WoD 6.0.3), a few of my characters never even visited the Twilight Highlands. In the northwest corner of Twilight Highlands, is the Vermillion Redoubt and Aquinastrasz .

He would not even talk to my characters last time I was here, but I after I opened the zone with my hunters (pet hunting), I kept seeing this flightpath and Aquinastrasz would light up with a flightmaster cursor. I went down to see if I could use Aquinastrasz and kept getting the error message:
"You do not know any flight points connected to this one."

I went all over the web trying to find which flight point I needed to open up, but I had them all. Perhaps it was a quest line?

It was a quest line, and here is what I did to get him to work:
(At level 100 it is quick and easy, awarding an achievement, and the hardest part was waiting for the little things to kill me in Devoured. I would suggest taking off any armor before starting this.)

To Start ... get to 44.0 10.6 and speak to Earthcaller Torunscar:

Earthcaller Torunscar => Torn Ground
Earthmender Duarn => Unbroken follow-up Earthcaller Yevaa => Mercy for the Bound
Initiate Goldmine => Simple Solutions
============================= After the Above:

Earthcaller Torunscar => The Maw of Iso'rath
Earthcaller Yevaa => Devoured Read this one (you have to let them kill you).
Thrall => The Worldbreaker Nothing you can do but watch.
Earthcaller Yevaa => The Terrors of Iso'rath Run kill tentacle, run to bubble. Repeat.
Earthcaller Yevaa => Nightmare (awarding the achievement Consumed by Nightmare upon completion.)

Alliance - Lauriel Trueblade => Warm Welcome
Horde... - Golluck Rockfist => Warm Welcome
