I'm on this quest and completed the objectives, but Initiate goldmine seems to have despawned for me and I can't figure out how to respawn him. Does anyone know how to respawn him?

Just start clicking on the runes in the ground. Just go through the mine, they go all the way to the end in a line until you get to Magmatooth.

once you find the water one, keep going into/down that cave to find the rest of them, there is only one tunnel that these are in, and you are already there

I was searching the NPC to turn in this quest for ages and finally got stuck behind some pillar in the water. Used the HS to port home and run back into the (§"&$)=( cave.

A few steps into the mine the NPC to turn in the quest spawned right next to me...

Quick Tip for players @ 85
It seems the miners are so busy with work that their aggro ranges are smaller. You can simply navigate around most of the mobs without fighting through them. Turn on "V" panels to help. Patting ogres will give you trouble however and try to avoid aggrivating the spiders. I don't know if this tactic will work for lower levels or those with pets.

Trying to get this quest to finish the series. Any ideas? I have done the 2 before it and turned them .If I am inside the mine with the initiate he doesnt give me any more quest. I logged out back in, no luck. I exited and closed logged back in , no luck. I turned off add-ons, no luck. Anyone can you help please.

Anyone having trouble SEEING the fire rune? I see the animation for the "Something under me is lootable or clickable" but see no rune.

If you are having trouble picking up the quest, try right-clicking on the exclamation mark rather than the rune itself.

wasn't able to target the rune of earth to start the quest by clicking on it. had to /tar it then use my "interact with target" button I bound.

All coords are in the cave. Once you start the chain head to water and then air and finnaly fire. Its down a long tunnle and fire is at the end.

If you're having trouble interacting with the runes, be sure you're not in a raid group. I went to do this quest after running a few dungeons and a raid with some friends, and found the cog-cursor wasn't there and the runes couldn't be interacted with.

Initiate Goldmine doesn't aggro mobs so, if you're a stealther, you can avoid most of the miners and some of the overseers (got detected by them in some tight pathways).

Died after reaching the water rune, when I tried coming back in to continue on there was too much fire going on to see where I was going. Had to Be rez'd and take the sickness. Be careful!

While doing this quest you can farm a lot of elementium and even Pyrite...stay in this cave a lot of time!

Once you've picked up this quest head North West. You'll pass enough Shards & cultists for the other two quests too.

I lost Initiate Goldmine, the quest giver, just as Momentum and others did and logged out and back in (at the site of the last rune), just as Momentum said, and there Goldmine was :D

P.S. I stupidly wrote this while standing near the site of the last rune and when I went back I had died: you can fly the ghost mount right thru the cave to your body!

Ugh, this quest was a pain in the butt! Bring a ton of food/pots/water/whatever with you! The mobs aggro quite easily; I was having a very hard time trying to sneak past any mob and there are a ton of them as you go through the tunnels. You also have to worry about patrols coming around and if you use any AoE, I swear every spider within a mile started to attack. The mobs can also hit pretty hard depending on the attack, so watch your step and pack well.

I did the shard quest after I died and rezed, couldn't get back in on Goldmine's Wild Ride, got killed trying to run past them in camouflage and just too many to kill when they aggro. Any ideas how I can finish this quest, I'm a hunter.

While doing this quest, none of the runes (water,air, fire) were actually doing anything when i clicked them. initially i thought it was a respawn timer type of issue but after 10 minutes i tried reloadui.. and then relog.. relog fixed the issue

I found that I could not interact with the final rune, the rune of fire at the bottom of the passage. I finally logged out and logged back in and it worked. If you're having the same problem try that.

This is bugged for me, tried logging in and out, changing realms and coming back, logging in as different characters... none will activate the runes.

Well, I'm a lvl 86 human lock. Using Soul Drain and Haunt spells seems to take care of any mobs. Haven't been killed yet. The problem is that even though I have completed all quest chains, the exclamation point does not appear on any of the runes. I have tried all suggestions, logging out and back in - even quitting the game and restarting, all to no avail. I've even killed Magmatooth.

Any ideas, or is this quest bugged?

Remember, that if you are above 85 lvl you won't see exclamation mark without 'Trivial quests' enabled in your mini-map menu (magnifying glass icon).

If you don't see the exclamation symbol on the rune, and you're level 90 or higher, the quest might be hidden. Turn on "Trivial Quests" on the tracker on the map and you'll see it immediately.

Just a heads up to anyone not able to see the "!" for the rune to start the quest, click on the tracking icon next to your minimap and be sure to check the box for "Trivial Quests". Seems if you outlevel the zone some quests won't be shown to you anymore.

Description

Examining the Twilight Rune of Earth, you can almost feel its power extending further into the Elementium Depths.

It's probably connected to other runes. Initiate Goldmine thinks that you should destroy all of them.
