The Argent Tournament
is an expansion feature for Wrath of the Lich King. Players can participate in quests and mini-games to earn reputation and currency for rewards including titles, achievements, mounts, and companion pets. This guide to the Argent Tournament includes the Tournament location and layout, as well as a guide to factions, quests, rewards and more.
A note on release details
The Argent Tournament was originally released in two phases. This guide covers the complete Argent Tournament. Here is a breakdown of how the content is added.
Phase 2
The Argent Tournament is accessible
The Crusaders' Coliseum is under construction
The Black Knight questline begins
Players can reach Champion status with their faction cities
City vendors are available
Players can earn the Crusader title
Phase 3
The Crusaders' Coliseum is completed
Construction quests are removed
Trial of the Champion 5-player dungeon is added with both Normal and Heroic modes
Trial of the Crusader 10/25-player Normal mode raid is added
Trial of the Grand Crusader 10/25-player Heroic mode raid is added
The final two Black Knight quests are added
Argent Crusader content is added including new dailies and an Argent Crusade vendor
Silver Covenant and Sunreaver daily quests and vendors are added
Overview of the Argent Tournament for Wrath of the Lich King Classic
The Argent Tournament is a world event in which players ostensibly compete to become members of a small force that will raid Ice Crown citadel and dispose of the Lich King once and for all.
Combatants of the Alliance and Horde! You are welcome under the banner of the Argent Crusade.
To the south lies our goal. We will march to the Citadel and cut out the heart of the Scourge where it dwells.
But this is no task to be taken lightly.
A massive attack with every able-bodied man would end in needless slaughter. Every soldier lost would rise as the enemy. Azeroth would be left defenseless against the undead threat.
Instead, we require a small, concentrated strike force for the attack to succeed. For that reason, we have created the Argent Tournament.
Within these walls, you will be tested. Your skill in combat will be matched against the fiercest dangers Northrend has to offer under the watchful eyes of your leaders.
Your prowess, your might, and your cunning will be under close watch. These games will determine the best Azeroth has to offer.
The victors will take their rightful place in the assault upon the Citadel. We will stand together in the face of evil, and Arthas WILL fall!

Under the neutral banner of the Argent Crusade, both Horde and Alliance players can participate in all events, although they do still have their own separate areas and sub-factions. The Tournament Grounds are a Sanctuary so no PvP combat is allowed. A main questline and daily quests allow players to gain reputation with various sub-factions for rewards including titles, achievements, mounts, and companion pets. Factions of the Argent Tournament for Wrath of the Lich King Classic
Horde, Alliance, and Neutral factions are all present at the tournament. The Horde and Alliance major cities all have representatives, and a neutral Death Knights only faction is also represented.

Completing quests and dailies will earn reputation with each faction and allow access to rewards. Note that the reputation gains are separate from the Argent Tournament ranks, for example, the Argent Tournament rank of Champion will open the city vendors, but some vendor items will also require Exalted reputation with that city.
Currencies of the Argent Tournament for Wrath of the Lich King Classic
As with many reputation rewards in World of Warcraft, earning reputation earns you the ability to buy rewards from faction vendors. These vendors will accept gold for some items, but mostly require the Argent Tournament currency,

Quests for the Argent Tournament for Wrath of the Lich King Classic
A main questline and a plethora of daily quests can be opened up as reputation is gained with various factions. After completing the introductory quests, a character will have access to the Aspirant quests. After earning 15

The Black Knight questline sends the player on a journey to investigate and ultimately unmask the mysterious Black Knight who has set up camp on the tourney grounds.
In patch 3.1, the Coliseum is under construction and a few daily quests allow the player to help out. These quests are removed in patch 3.2 when the Coliseum is complete.

Jousting in the Argent Tournament for Wrath of the Lich King Classic
Jousting is the mini-game of the Argent Tournament. For this mounted combat game you will need a lance and a special vehicle mount. You can then challenge a rival to combat and fight using the vehicle interface.

- Melee, 3,250 damage. On its own cooldown.
碎盾
- 5-30 yards, 2,000 damage, removes 1 stack of Defend.
冲锋
- 5-25 yards, 8,500 damage, removes 1 stack of Defend.
防御
- 30% damage reduction, stacks up to 3 times.
治疗坐骑
- Heals your mount. Only usable out of combat.

- Challenges another player to a duel.
Equip your lance

. If you don't have a lance in your bag you can pick one up from a weapon stand. If you are just starting out, your quest giver may have provided a lance.
Mount your steed
. Jousting mounts are found outside your faction pavilion or in the stable area. As you rank up, you will earn access to more mounts. When you are just starting out you will need to use your racial mount outside your faction pavilion. If you can mount it, you can use it.
Fight!
Always put up 3 stacks of defense before challenging your opponent. Use

to drop their stacks from range. Use

to maintain your own stacks. When they have 1 or fewer stacks, use

to close and

to finish them off.
You can tell how many stacks you or your opponent has from the effect on the character.

Each Argent Tournament faction has a vendor who sells items unique to that faction. Vendors accept

Each city vendor becomes available once you achieve Champion status with that city. City vendors all sell the

flying mount as well as two faction mounts, a companion pet, a tabard, a banner, reputation tokens, and a selection of weapons and armor. City vendors are located in the faction pavilions.
Note that while mounts are Bind on Pickup, companion pets are not and can be traded on the Auction House.

Once Cata classic hits do we get Goblins/Wargan champions? I'm a little rusty on this and was wondering if stocking up on the rep will help for faster rewards. Thanks
Just took a quick gander on retail they only have Ork, Troll, Undead, Tauran and blood elf no Goblin for the horde. Human, Night elf, Dwarf, Draenei, gnome, no Wagons for the alliance. Hope this helps someone else.
