For clarity, this is a banner that you summon and set on the ground. Think of it like a racially proud Archmage Vargoth.

This item provides no combat bonus.
This item is permanent.
It can be used anywhere. Indoor/Out.

If you can't decide if you want it or not, a few things to think about...
1. It's the only vanity item you can purchase on your first day as champion (for MOST people...some people might get lucky with a wonky server reset).
2. Take it for a test run. Don't forget, in 3.1 you can sell back your item to get the marks back from it. If you decide you don't like it, sell it back and get back your fifteen champion's seals.

Further observations:

- Flag lasts a duration of 3 minutes before disappearing.
- Cooldown is 3 minutes.
- Flag lights up slightly if mouse is hovering over it.
- Flag obscures clicking on players standing inside the flag. (End up clicking on flag).
- Right-clicking or Left-clicking on the flag causes flag to blink but otherwise no other effect.
- Flag is not targetable. The tooltip displays "Darnassus Banner".
- Flag placement range is about 5 yards (To place the flag on the ground, similar to a grenade).

Thoughts:

May be a minor issue targeting people in PvP if they sit inside flags. Nice for role playing or marking safe spots in a raid fight.

They fixed it in 3.2 so you can't hide in the flag.

I've been almost camped for the past 4 hours by a player (some 80s have a lot of time on their hands), and they're placing these on my corpse.
I think it is the best use for these items, kinda makes you feel a little more poopy about it.
Puts more meaning into "getting owned", probably like Russia did when the U.S. flag was planted on the moon.
