This is, without a doubt, the sh***iest quest I have ever done. I have died a good 7 or 8 times in the process of this quest due to the elite pats. If not for the decent rewards, i would've packed up and left before now.

It's actually solo-able, although you would probably want to at least have a flying mount (and stealth doesn't hurt either).

Just choose a quiet spot along a ledge (I'm at 52, 65), watch your CC and pick them off. I died once on a stupid pull when vanish was up. Also, getting spellbinders is kind of a pain because they usually spawn with two soldiers. The soldiers heal, so make sure to intterupt if you can.

Soloed this q dying just once on a sort of dry run.

the requierd mobs are in the area that stretches from 51,63 to Crimson Watch at 51,72 (go check this place out if you have flying mount, really scary)

The mobs stand in groups of 3 with 1 spellbinder and 2 soldiers, the soldiers have about 5k hp and are just grass to kill, the spellbinder do hurs somewath, but just out dps it, around 5k hp there also.

The only thing to keep in mind is the Crimson Sigil pack that strokes around in the area, 5 blood elfs on mounts, one on the bird and 4 on horses, the one on bird is a huntertype with arrows hitting for ~1k dmg on clothies

the Giant elites are kite able (atleast for a frost mage) and really easy to kill if you put some effort in it. ~22k hp.

There is a little hill at 52.0, 65.2 where you can stand and only get aggro from 1 Cavalier (he patrols the side). After killing him you can safely pull/kill the groups of 2/3 nearby while avoiding aggro from all the elites.

as of 12 - 29 - 07 i think this was changed its soldiers, cavaliers and Sons of corok needed now instead of spellbinders

** EDIT ** - my bad i was looking at horde version - horde , you go ahead and kill spellbinders, alliance work on the sons of corok... my mistake!

This quest is easily soloable for a hunter. I took on 2 soldiers, a cavalier, and ended up aggroing one of the giants(elite) and still kill all of them. Couldn't hurt to have another with you though.

Soloable for anyone who can handle 3 equal level mobs at 70.

There's a small hill at 53, 71 from where you can pull eight Cavaliers that are located nearby.

This quest doesn't actually require a group; it's just a little hard to do alone.
Along the path, there are groups of either 2 or 3; the pairs are made up of 2 Soldiers, while the trios are made up of 2 Soldiers and a Spellbinder. The Cavaliers patrol up and dwon the path.
Against the groups of 2 Soldiers, CC one if you can (since they hit kind of hard), and kill the other. You'll want to kill each Soldier fast, or at least make sure you have some sort of Interrupt; they cast a spell called "Blood Heal" on themselves (1.5-2 second cast), which COMPLETELY restores their health AND gives them a HoT buff that restores about 4% of their total health every second for about 5 seconds.
With the trios, you might want to take out the Soldiers first, since the Spellbinder doesn't really do much damage and he/she has fairly low health/armor.
Cavaliers are simple to defeat, although they do have a 5-second debuff that reduces the effects of your spells by 75% for 5 seconds. After they die, their Hawkstrider attacks you; it has low health and low DPS, so just kill it.
Edit: Oh, and watch out for Val'zareq; he patrols along the path, so keep an eye out for him and his bodyguards (wouldn't recommend trying to kill him if you don't have a group).

Did at level 68 disc priest. Too add to where this is soloable:

From the beginning path, pull mobs of 3 to 50/63 (a little hill to the right of the path). Be careful to look up and down the path for added mobs/elites! But definately soloable as long as you dont rush, be mindful of the path at all times, and STAY OFF OF IT!

You need to use the flare gun to summon the quest giver. If you lost your flare gun, you can get another one from Thane Yoregar. He is standing in front of the Wildhammer Stronghold entrance.
