Nice and easy quest, blood dropped off first priestess, then spilled the blood (you must be in Gehenna, anywhere, as long as it says Forge Base: Gehenna, you're good), and easily killed the Avatar.

The blood has a duration of 60 seconds, so the better solution is to clear a small area in advance, kill a Priestess and then summon the Avatar immediately after.

Easy, just kill a Priestess (Most likely you will pull another add tho, since they wander around all the other mobs), use the blood (Think its 100% drop chance, duration of 60 seconds tho) and kill the Avatar (Has almost no hp and hits weak) and then youre done.

Blood has a 60 second duration, however, you can leave it on the corpse until you're ready. Just don't let the corpse despawn.

1) Get the blood from a wrath priestess (drop)

2) Spill the blood inside Forge Base: Gehenna. This will summon the avatar. Now fight the avatar...

Easy fight as a 69 frost mage.

The Blood will drop off every priestess if I remember correctly. What I did was, I waited for the priestess at (40.5,17.5) to walk into a little alcove by herself and killed her.

The Avatar of Sathal is, indeed the hardest mob thusfar in this "Quest Group" but is in no way a challenge to anyone who can partake in the quest.

This quest was REALLY annoying to me . The blood is a 100% drop but it has only a duration of 1 min so theres not really time to get ready or move to a safe place to fight here . She begins with a 900+ shadow bolt and and occansion rain of green fire that will do 1k for each time you get hit by it . Despite what i just said shes not that hard , you just have to make sure the area is clear because if you dont then you will most likely die , depending on your class .

Wasn't hard at all. The secret is to make sure area is clear, too many adds. Luckily there was a Horde character clearing mobs. Find corner to nail the Priestess, click the blood, and then nail the Avatar. (69 Balance Druid)

The blood is NOT a 100% drop rate. I probably killed around 15 of the priestesses and it took me about 20 minutes to do the quest. There is only like 4 or 5 that respawn so I had to wait for that. Got pretty annoying but it sounds like it was easy for everyone else.

It helps a lot if you have a flying mount, because it is quite hard to find them. Just keep flying around, eventually you'll find one. I found mine at the bottom of the higher hill.

When I try to "spill blood", it tells me "You need to be in The Forge of Souls". Is this a new 3.3.0 bug, or is there some special place within Forge Base: Gehenna that I have to be?

This is REALLY annoying. I have the same problem as you guys. Im there.. picking up some blood (witch drops on all priestests) and then when I click it nothing happens. Then I fly to another location and click it again, nothing and so on... ofc it despawn after those 60 secs. Take a new one and tries again, no luck.

NOTE! The place the error points you to is:

"The Forge of Souls is the first wing of the dungeon complex known as the Frozen Halls, located within Icecrown Citadel."

So its defiantly a patch 3.3 error

asked about it to GM, he told they knew it and bug would be fixed as soon as possible, anyway, as 3,3,0a it is still bugged

i took this quest at level 72 or 73. today became level 80.
first thing i did, went to netherstorm and queued for FORGE OF SOULS. at last did it :D
and now have NAGRAND SLAM achievement.

ARE YOU EFFFING SERIOUS BLIZZARD? This is the LAST part of the LAST quest I need for Nagrand Slam. I cannot find anymore nagrand quests and I spent all day questing in SMV to unlock the chain..../sigh...

Edit....I just had a stroke of genius, thank you Blizz for the new LFG tool....heh heh heh....

P.S. IT WORKED! I went into the new queue, waited for the "enter dungeon" box, killed a mistress, got the blood, zoned into the dungeon, spilled the blood and killed the chick. The random group was like "WTF?". I explained it to them, and they got a good laugh.

If you are on the quest Teleport this! it also says you have to be in the forge of souls to use an object that you are supposed to use on the mo'arg in forge base:Gehenna

You can easily do that by joining to group by new LFG system and use that blood when you are teleported to the forge of souls instance and complete the quest, it only can be completed at level 80 only, now with that bug...

Yeah wtf, you can online summon the avatar in the dungeon Forge of souls. Nasty bug especially if you are trying to complete your Nagrand quest achievement. I did mine in the dungeon.

It is still possible to achieve Nagrand Slam as Alliance without this quest, but it requires you to finish every other credit-giving quest for Alliance in Nagrand, as there are 76 for-credit Alliance quests in the zone. If you haven't been able to finish it without this, check the following quests you may have overlooked:

I killed a priestess right after getting the dungeon invite and when I looted her the blood didn't even pick up! What a load of freaking BS. Now I've got deserters debuff, and still don't have the dang quest!

I just looted a Priestess and the bug is still active. However unlike WildKarrde (above comment), I WAS able to loot the blood. Unfortunately wasn't aware of the bug, so now I'm stuck...can't get into the instance as I'm a lvl 70. Good Times......

Still bugged. I put in a ticket and just logged for the night. When I came back today, the response said that they were aware of it, but (1) if I want it done I'm going to have to do the LFG thing because the GM definitely didn't just "fix" this for me and (2) I was dead when I logged on. WTH.

You CAN finish this quest by queueing for Forge of Souls. When the queue pops just kill the mob and quickly zone in and press the blood. Just finished it doing this.

For those lvl 80's looking to complete this for Nagrand Slam - remember, you can always teleport out of Forge of Souls and get sent to wherever you originally were, and then teleport back in. I hung around the forge camp in Netherstorm until I got into a FoS run, completed the run like normal, teleported out back to the forge camp, killed a priestess/looted the blood, teleported back into the instance, and spilled the blood.

This might be a better method for people who experience long load times (it's often been >30 seconds for me as of late) when zoning into instances at the beginning.

As of today, two months after the release of patch 3.3, this is still not fixed. It is a real pain seeing that I need this quest to open up the next chain so that I can obtain http://www.wowhead.com/?item=31002 . Plus I cant even get into the Forge of Souls!

This has been fixed.
I dropped into an open area, cleared some mobs, and then killed a priestess. Spilled the blood and Avatar of Sathal spawned right in front of me. Never saw any error messages about having to be in the Forge of Souls.

I'm not really sure what all the talk of a bug is here, maybe it's all old material (something from Jan 2010 seems to be the most recent). In any event, I did this quest today. Went to Netherstorm, killed a Wrath Priestess. She dropped the blood. I used the blood, the Avatar appeared. Killed the Avatar, the end.

No longer seems to be bugged, took me about 3 mins.

I did the quest today and there were no bugs, the princess was easy to see as the red letters above her head stood out against the brown background.

71 Hunter. This is very simple with a little strategery.
Fly onto the flat in the back end of Forge Base: Gehenna around 40.50 17.25 to avoid drawing attention.
Kill 2 easy Wrathbringers. Lay in wait for the Princess behind the rock formation sticking up around 40.34 17.28 and ambush her as she walks down the path. Move into the path so you are in the blue area about 39.91 17.82 and summon the Avatar with the blood. Easy 5 or 6 hit kill. Fly home.

I cannot complete the Nagrand Slam. I am 3 quests short and I cannot get the 6 quests from Altruis. This is the first one I'm missing. Any suggestions? I've done everything else that I am able to. I'm pulling my hair out here!

Altruis the Sufferer wants you to obtain Freshly Drawn Blood from a Wrath Priestess at Forge Base: Gehenna in Netherstorm. Spill it on the ground and slay the Avatar of Sathal. Return to Altruis when you've completed this task.

Description

The Burning Legion has proven its capacity to corrupt mortal souls time and again. If I'm to entrust you with the knowledge you seek, I must have proof of your allegiance.

A demoness known as Sathal has eluded me for a long time as she's gifted with an incorporeal form.

She watches over the wrath priestesses as they do her bidding at Forge Base: Gehenna. Slay one of her minions and spill her blood on the ground. This affront should cause Sathal to materialize temporarily. Slay her while you can.
