After an hour of trying to get the note that starts the disguise quest line, I was unable to get it to drop, and skipped it in the hopes that I would still be able to get disguise pieces in the wyrmcult cave.

This is not the case... you first must be lucky enough to get the note, in order to buy the provisioner's cloak or orb, much to my sadness. I'm going to spend a few more hours later on trying to hopefully get the note.

after finishing a time for negotiation i have been killing mobs with no luck :(

edit: after killing tons of poachers (like it shows on this map)..i killed a hewer and it dropped on the first mob :/

The cultist dropped this note, which apparently was to be delivered to Overseer Nuaar. It is signed by someone named Kolphis Darkscale.

It is likely that Tree Warden Chawn will be interested in looking at this.
