Tough to solo, but do-able. The tower you're looking for is at 46, 74. Plant the banner on top of the tower to start the event.

You'll face several waves of ogre baddies, starting with just two. The waves spawn at the foot of the tower, run all the way to the top, and then turn aggressive towards you. You can get to about midtower and drink without them aggroing if you run through them as they go up.

The mobs themselves are pretty standard orcs, no elites. As a mage, I polymorphed one mob, and then used the circular ramp to frostnova and kite the remaining ones until they're dead. Then, I can kill the last poly no problem.

There are four waves. I'm not sure if the waves are the same each time. These are the waves I got.

- 2 orcs
- 3 orcs
- 3 orcs
- Gurn Grubnosh

Gurn himself is no big deal - he hits kinda hard, but some good crowd control/roots will take care of that.

The quest text talks like the quest is an elite, my guess is that it will be come BC release.

The banners are hold by Champions, there are 2 huts with 2 floors, there's a ramp on the side of each. I got it after some minutes of roaming around the camp. Hope that helps.

Easily soloed as a 67 paladin. Watch out for the respawn of the original two guards at the top of the tower though. They respawned on me as I was fighting Gurn.

Gurn has an enrage where he will swing 300% faster and hit for 150% more, but will get dizzy after that for a few seconds.

I guess it could be hard for a hunter to solo as you don't have enough space to maneuver and will have to melee.

Pretty easily soloable as a 67 frost mage. Sheeped 1 add, froze the other 2 and just burned them down ... usually didn't get through Ice Barrier. Gurn was easy, nova'able and slowable and he was a joke.

Solo'd fairly easily as a lvl68 warlock. Use lots of fear/howl of terror on the waves to cut down the incoming damage. Use a voidwalker to keep one busy (succubus will go oom - this is a long fight). There's about 15 seconds between waves to regen to full. The boss is trivial to drain tank.

Amazingly, it seems that if you die during the waves, but still get back to the tower quickly you can complete the quest. I was able to solo this as a 68 frost mage even with a death during the second wave (didn't manage to hit my health pot fast enough). Gurn was indeed a joke compared to previous elites who are immune to freeze.

Solo'able for rogues, just sap one and take care of the rest. The only cooldowns I burned were Evasion and Blind (to bandage up). After the battles, eat and stealth right away, make sure to stay away from the stairs or you'll aggro when then arrive.

Ok, actaully not that tough. Soloed as a 68 hunter.

Just keep the freeze traps up and if u need to regen, do it between fights, and go to the end corner.. shadow meld if you can.

taking on two of these mobs for a hunter is easy.

42,46 is to get the flag.
46, 74. is the Tower where you place the Flag.

Easily soloable as a 68 Shadow Priest. No need to use CD like Shadowfiend or Symbol of Hope (if you are Draenei). You can drink whilst the waves reach you on top of the tower... just Fear, VT, VE and kill one mob at a time. The named hits really hard when he goes on frenzy, save your fear for that moment. Beware of the respawns, I started immediately after killing the Skirmisher atop the tower and they spawned again 5 secs after I killed the named.

All non-elite, Gurn himself is a regular 67. That rage hits hard for the brief time it is active though. Was able to sit at the far side of the tower and eat without agro between each wave - they just stood and waited.

Solo'ed with a 67 destro lock with a voidwalker. Make sure to have plenty of food + water... as soon as you kill the last guy start eating until the next mob gets there. Not difficult.

Next to the tower is a big rock with a flat top. If things go badly, you can jump on it to make the enemies evade, saving you from certain death.

Completed very easily as a level 68 druid.

Stayed in catform the whole fights and poped out for a heal between the waves. Used Pounce at one of the mobs each wave since I found it hard to attack any ogres from behind.

really easy quest @ 67 demonology warlock. time between attacks are long enough to bandage you and your felguard. remember mana potions or simply use tab life and then bandage. all ogres are fearable including gurn grubnosh.

Solo by 67 DW/Fury war, went smooth except a pat on the ramp to the tower respawned on the big boss and I got nailed, had to run back, kill him, then kill boss...so make it fast when you do this

I did this quest at lvl 68 rogue, soloed easy. The only thing to remember is the respawns.

You can use vanish on every group even on boss, so if u have litle HP then vansih and run donw the ramp and eat, sun back and kill the dude(s).

Very easily soloed as a 69 warrior. Just kill the last dude of each pack in the ramp and eat sum of yer cheese, then just charge from the edge of the ramp and kill the next pack, again killing the last dude on the ramp. Boss was no problem either. Easy. ^.^

Second wave (3 ogres): health pot (be sure to kill the geomancer first)
Third wave (3 ogres): death wish
Boss: recklessness, then bandage while boss is feared

65 Warlock Solo.

wave 1: two melee
- DoT them both, howl of terror, drain life.
wave 2: two melee, one caster
- Keep DoTs up on all three as best you can. Howl of Terror, and I recommend fearing the caster while they're all running so you only have to deal with two at a time. Drain life from the melees then deal with the caster in the same fashion.
wave 3: three melee (two goons and a lookout)
- Same technique as wave two, fear any of three over the Howl of Terror, keep DoTs up, use Drain Life and Death Coil to keep your HP up.
wave 4: Gurn Grubnosh
- Start this out with a fear, and get as many DoTs as possible up on this guy. If he's in your LoS, use Shadow Bolt or anything you're comfortable with to DPS him down. If not in your LoS and he ran down the tower with your fear, just wait up top for him, and greet him with more DoTs and a fear when he comes back up. Rinse and repeat twice or three times and he's done.

Here is something I found out. If you are lucky and some poor soul has tried to do the quest, but kept failing and giving up, you may end up climbing the tower to find some enemies there like I did. This meant I had 1 less wave to worry about when completing the quest, although this is down to pure luck. Just be considerate though, someone may still be doing the quest.

I did this quest when I was a lvl 66 Draenei, Beastmaster Hunter.

It took me a while to find the Champion so I could get the banner. That was actually the hardest part, since I never bothered to look up his location :)

When I had the banner, it was pretty straightforward. Ride down to the area with the tower, down in the south. Kill about 4 mobs to get to the tower. Run up to the top, while killing one mob on the way up and 1 at the top. Planted the banner and waited for the first 2 mobs. When they came I set an explosive trap, had my pet charge one ogre, whilst i took care of the other one.
Refilled my health and mana, while waiting for the 2nd wave.
Same thing now, pet on one Ogre, explosive trap. Now i however also used "The Beast Within", sending my pet and me into a frenzy.
Another refill of health and mana, followed by the same thing, but with 4 Ogres. A bit harder but never went beneath 1/4 HP.
Last refill of health and mana.
Took out the last guy, pretty easy.

Tried this earlier on my Warlock, had no succes then, due to bad armor.

There is alot of good info about the locations of the champion and the tower. This is just a tip for rogues

I was able to solo this as a level 67 combat swords rogue. Easier than I expected, didn't have to use a health pot.

Tips:
For the first wave just dps both down, no cooldowns needed.

For 2nd wave, make sure you are stealthed at the top of the tower (after either bandaging or eating until full health). The three mobs will make their way up from the bottom. Make sure you target the geomancer and mash your opener as it arrives at the top. There will be a period where the mobs are unable to be attacked, but if you keep hitting your opener (I recommend cheap shot) you will get it off before they hit you. For this wave use Blade fury and cloak of shadows to stop some damage from the caster. Should be a fairly simple affair

3rd wave: Same as 2nd in that you need to make sure you get your opener off before they hit you. Target any mob as they all are melee classes and do roughly the same damage. Once you get your opener off and have slice and dice active use evasion + adrenaline rush to burn them down.

Final wave: Simple make sure you have full health and burn him :) One thing to remember is that he enrages so make sure you have some combo points for a kidney shot. His enrage should wear about the same time as your stun. When he is not enraged he dosent hit that hard so you will kill him before he kills you.

If you complete the chain of 5 man quests from Mog'dorg you will become 'king' of the ogres and they will be neutral to you. This includes the waves of mobs from this quest. Simply sit and drink/eat take your time as they will run to the top and just stand about looking at you until you attack them. Makes it a very easy quest to solo.

Adding all coments up: this quest is wrongly labeled as group (especially the "3 players" part). You just have to fight multiple standard mobs at once, simple cc is usually enough to make this quest soloable, not to mention that you have plenty of time between waves to eat and drink.

Im not sure exactly when it happen, but this quest is bugged. After the second wave no more ogres come up and thats that. I Talked to a Gm tonight about it(Oct 29, 07) and they are aware of the quest having issues.

Rogue:

1. Clear Tower.
2. Start Event.
3. First Wave: Stealth. Wait for them to turn Aggro, distract, sap one. Kill one.
4. Second Wave: Stealth. Wait again, Sap one. Bladefury remaining both.
5. Third Wave: Stealth. Wait, Sap. Attack one, Blind the other, kill while blind, or get him as low as possible.
6. Repeat Step 4.
7. Kill the "boss". Make sure to start evasion when he turns crazy (~40%)

Just nuked the first 2, on the 2nd group I popped my earth elemental, having it remain to the 3rd fight, when it died but still was able to finish off the remaining mob, then beat the crap out of the "boss" he hits hardest when he speeds his attacks up, but after which he will be dazed from exhaustion, perfect time to heal yourself. My tactic to solo as a 67 Combat Swords Rogue:
1 Health Pot needed.

First one: 2 ogres. Blade Flurry, Charm of Alacrity and Bladefire's Breadth used. Just nuked them down.

Place yourself on the northwest side of the tower and eat and stealth. Attack when ready.

3 Ogres. Adrenaline Rush, Evasion and Trinkets used again during fight. Nuke FTW!

Eat and stealth.

Another 3 Ogres. Trinkets, Blade Flurry used. Nuked and healthpot.

Eat, Stealth and attack Gurn. Use trinkets and Blade Flurry if available. During the fight Evasion should become available. Use it :) He went down pretty fast and it's a pretty easy solo :)

Soloed at 68 feral druid. This quest was kind of bugged for me... When I got to the tower there were 4 ogres standing ontop of each other. Went to work on them (didn't have to use the banner). As I was killing the first set of 4 (working on the last one), 2 more ran up the ramp. Went to work on them. Then two more came up as I was killing the last one from the second wave. Finally, I was working on the last guy from the 3rd wave and Gurn Grubnosh came up and started wailing on me. I didn't have much time to heal between waves.

Soloed 67 enhance shaman, just droped GOA, Str of earth, searing and heal tot's and drank + eating combined with my gift of narue(sp?) kept Water shield up and didnt have to use my pet earth elemental once. Pretty easy but the last guy goes nuts at the end and has to take a pot to survive it.

Soloed easily as 66 rogue (Tree: Subtlety)
Got my banner at 46,47.
First wave, 2 ogres. Pretty easy to deal, just blind 1 and kill the other asap, then go for the next 1.
Second wave, 3 ogres. Sap the geomancer, start killing the other 2, evasion, killed 1, health potion, blind on the geomancer, killed the second, then killed the geomancer.
Third wave, 3 ogres. Sap 1 of the ogres.
Start killing the ogres, 50% HP, health potion, evasion and blind on the other, finished the last wave, then came the boss. Sap on the boss, cheap shot, hemorrhage, ghostly strike, kidney shot.
Sinister strike, then the problem came, the goes insane mode and starts hitting you to fast, your hp gets #$%^ed up, health potion, blind, bandage. Used preparation and evasion again, and just kept him on stun lock.
Took me 10 min to complete the quest,

Soloed as 67 enhancement shammy.
Put up str of earth, grace of air and mana spring (also searing totem against Gurn).
Didn't have to use any pots or anything, popped shamanistic rage against Gurn, though. I'm not sure if this is normal, but he missed on half his attacks if not more. I never had to heal in fights, only healed between fights. To sum this up: pretty easy, at least if you're an enhancement shammy, I have NO idea why it says you should be 3 players.

But, I died when fighting Gurn, however the quest did not fail!
So I hurried back to the tower, and burned him down to complete the quest.

I was doing this on my Prot pala 67..(patch 2.3). was doing great when the last BOSS spawned.
The problem was he spawns in the lower part of the tower, and i was ofc standing on the top of the tower.
I was waiting for the named guy to come when i realised somehow a hunter of the opposite faction tagged him where he spawns (bigging of the ramp, while i stand on top of the tower), and i got no credit for the kill etc.

So i had to run back, abandoned the quest kill another champion and do the event again. Next try I runned down to prevent this for happening but I was not able to target him before he was at the top. There might be glitch on this quest which makes him attackable the moment he spawns ...Only thing I can think of.
Be warned. (Other than that it's easy kill for prot pala just the normal aoe-stuff on the waves)

As a 66 nelf druid, I was able to solo this with ease.
I had to pop a health pot half way through because a frickin' Bloodmaul Skirmisher spawned on top of me as I was fighting Gurn, but it was still a walk in the park.

Now, I acknowledge my enormous ass in Dire Bear Form (helloooo, corner tank), but come on — three people? That's kind of offensive. :)

Soloed first try as a 66 prot pally - didn't use my big spells or any pots.

I suggest pulling the last mob of each wave as far as possible from the top of the ramp and then eat/drink the moment he drops. This way the next wave will take longer to get to you, plus it seems to hesitate a moment before stepping on to top platform, which gives you another tick or two of eating/drinking between waves.

Waves are 2, 3, 3, then Gurn, but i had a re-spawn midway thru the Gurn fight, and i had not hesitated to start the event after clearing - so be ready for adds.

67 Retadin no issues either. Seemed a bit too easy actually, not sure if they changed it. Basically I just waited close to the bottom of the spiral and only the first wave seemed to aggro me. The rest of the waves ran to the top and stood there, so I had plenty of time to drink/eat at the bottom and then run up.

I always made sure I killed the last one near the bottom so I had as much time as possible to drink/eat in case they did aggro.

Last boss does hit quite hard and fast but if you survived the waves he shouldn't be hard.

One thing to note the ogres on the spirial (normal ones) respawned just as I finished, so don't take too long...

Solo'd 66 Shadow Priest. Stand at the bottom, and don't be afraid to wait for your shadowfiend to recharge. At least for gurn at the end. There may be one ADD at the top, but I was able to just pull him.

I died once since I was knocked off, make sure you stand at the bottom and clear out any nearby enemies first. The second time I died, Gurn died at the same time so I just came back and looted the body.

As a lvl 66 resto druid, I was able to solo this, dying once, but with a lot of unfortunate accidents. First wave, two ogres, melee classes, simple. Cat formed it, healing a lot, but spirit meant I didn't need to drink between fights. Second wave, caster and two melees, along with not one, but TWO respawns of Ogres on top of the tower. I took out the caster and had the first melee down to half when the first respawn occurred, and had the third melee down to half when the second respawn occured. Drank up between, then fought the next wave without consequence. Final wave, and immediately there were two more ogres, respawned on top of the tower. Killed me before I could do much, so I ran back, and engaged from the ramp, only aggroing Grubnosh and one other. My advice- if you do get a respawn, kill them first, at least if you are a caster, since they have a nasty interrupt which forced me to use a couple pots. Also- I dunno how soloable this is by a class that either A- doesn't have good CC, or can't tank/heal simultaneously. Good luck.

Easily done solo as a 67 Warlock, Demon spec with Felguard tanking. Between waves just run down to near the bottom of the tower and the waiting mobs will run right past you without aggroing. After a quick break to bandage and get mana head back up and send the Felguard in to get aggro on the next group. I just bandaged the Felguard and then my Warlock and went back up for more.

I used a fear on the 2nd and 3rd waves to keep the caster occupied and the Felguard had no problems dealing with the others. The last mob, Gurn wasn't much to worry about, just DoT him up and keep the Felguard's health in check and he goes down in no time. Only problem I had was one of the mobs on the tower respawning during the last part, but I just feared him out of action until I was done with Gurn. All over and done with in a few minutes.

champion is at 41.3, 46.8 Not 42, 47... 42,47 has some elites...

he respawns right on that spot about every 4 mins, inside the hut directly west of the house with the ramp at 42,47...
if you dont have coords, look on the map where it says Bladespire Hold... above the BL of "bladespire" is a hut drawn on the map.. that is the one with the elites.. go to the west slightly and a little bit south( right by a big skelleton), and you'll see dirt path leading to another hut with the champion..

If someone has just finished the quest and the banner is still in the middle, don't try and place yours!
It will use up the 1 charge your banner has but doesn't start the event. Meaning you'll have to get another banner.

If you did make that mistake, make sure you throw away your banner with no charges to get another as they are Unique.

Soloed easy with a 68 prot warrior. idk if it was because the guys were kinda low for my level. but first wave just stay in Defensive stance use shield block constantly so they dont hit every hard. second wave i used Intimidating shout to spread them out. 3rd wave i used retaliation and there were dead :)

also, in case you have QuestHelper or something and you're kinda confused where the tower is, it's south of the questgiver. when you get to the tower it actually changes your location to denote "Northmaul Tower"

The cords are correct and, it wasn't that tough to solo. As a lvl 68 hunter. Just put your pet on aggressive, and use mend sometimes on your pet to keep his hp up. Use explosive trap at the first wave of ogres, and do that on the other wave,. but at the last ones,. I guess it's best to use Freezing Trap. Well, so did I and it worked fine. And at the breaks between the waves. Sit down immediately and eat, drink. ;3,

Soloed easily as a 65 prot pally. Just bring along some food and water to rest up after the second or third wave-if you're doing this after all the other Bladespire ogre quests, you should have some smoked talbuk venison and filtered draenic water. Hammer of the Righteous (51 prot talent) works well here-the mobs don't have much health, and it hits all of them if you're in melee.

This was very easy, soloed as lvl 67 Blood Death Knight. 4 waves:
2 Orcs, 3 Orcs, 3 Orcs, Gurn. I had to use my Rune Dancing Weapon because a pat came up the stairs and the one on the top of the platform spawned. Make sure you kill them before you start the quest. The Banner drops off the Champion in Bladespire Hold, in one of the huts.

Piece of cake as a 65 unholy spec Death Knight. Finished up with 90% health, no pots, bandages or food.

My strategy was for each wave was

Icy Touch > Plague Strike > Pestilence > Blood Strike > Death Strike till dead.

Icy Touch and Plague Strike load target up with 3 diseases and Plague Strike causes Desecrated Ground so target is taking damage from diseases, is debuffed and my DPS is increased.

Pestilence spreads the diseases to the others, so now all targets are debuffed and taking damage.

The rotation is then simplified to just Blood Strikes and Death Strikes to keep DPS and health good. Reapply diseases as required. The last ogre on the waves of 3 may need this, but I generally found it was almost dead when I came to switch to it. A couple of Death Strikes to pump up my health was all it took to drop the last Ogre.

When Gurn appears, rotation is similar, but no Pestilence is required as there is only a single target. After applying diseases it was just Blood Strike, Death Strike till dead. Easy fight.

Other notes: I was in Blood Presence and have a Major Rune of Death Strike for added healing.

I soloed this with a lvl 69 Blood DK. Gurn does hit you hard when he enrages so he does get tough so you have to be sure u keep the dps up or you'll wind up dead.

All in all, Quest is easily soloed by a 67 Ret / Pally...Gurn Grobnosh is non elete.....just have a couple mana pots and perhaps a Healing potion, you wont have any problems. Actually a couple of the Pre-req's were tougher !

DId this solo as enhancement shaman. Pretty easy if you know how to manage your cd's. I kept wolves for the second wave and used maelstrom procs to instant heal with healing wave. Usw totems, wolves and water shield for mana to heal yourself and its pretty easy. Saved shamanistic rage and gift of the naaru for Gurn.

Solo'd this as a 66 Retadin. Didn't even have to use Gift of the Naaru (I'm Draenei), or any bubbles. Just keep Consecration up at all times and use Flash of Light when Art of War procs.

This was very easy for a level 67 Prot Pally. I assume it'd be easy at lower levels too. Just use all your damaging spells on them, then drink high mana drinks in between fights. The hardest part should be the boss, and he's not too bad.

Not sure if Prot pallies are OP in PVE, but I soloed this no problem at all at 65. An interesting thing - it seemed that someone had started the quest before me, as there were 4 ogres when I landed, and their bodies disappeared after dying, and Gurn showed up immediately.

This was too easy to solo with a lvl 66 hunter, pet didn't even go under 6k hp (had 6,7k).
The mobs were harder than the "boss". You need just to do: Mend pet, Bestial wrath, Intimidation, Rapid Fire, and then just nuke it down. And ofc, Immolation trap.

As of the latest patch, the built-in quest helper indicates that you need to go DIRECTLY to the tower, where you would plant the banner. It makes no effort to tell you that you need to get the banner from one of the Champions near the quest giver.

Managed it as a 65 blood spec DK. The initial mobs have a small knockback attack, so don't stand too close to any of the edges. As for the elite, I lol'ed as I just put Mark of Blood on him...basically he healed me for 400HP a swing. Health didn't drop below 90%.

I just soloed it as a level 66 druid, stricktly healer specced.

I had to concentrate but it was pretty easy. Had at least two HoT on me all the time, and drank mana between each wave. I also used Lesser Wizard Oil on my staff for more spell power, and a scroll to increase intellect.

Soloed as 70 DK, and would had have no trouble at 66-67. Did not need to pull out my undead friend, use potions, or do much more than just hit them occasionally with blood boil and death strike for small health regen. Plenty of time to eat and drink between if you need it. Essentially if you can kill two or three regular ogres in the valley, you can do this.

Had way more trouble with the elites protecting the sword and shield of that weird girl attached to caged life in that other ogre quest. (Talk about role playing, how do you think the ogres are getting them back after the quest? I didn't stay to confirm this, but look for that smile when she pulls the door shut again! LOL)

The champion is inside the building at 41.28,46.65. I looked for other champions and was not able to find any.

The tower is at 46.68,74.64. Four waves 2/3/3/Gurn Grubnosh. None are elite.

Still a bit of a pain in the butt, even with the 4.3 Elite nerf. Especially if you're stupid like me and forget to wait for the ogre that stands there and the one that paths up to re-spawn and kill them just before you start it.

As has been mentioned, the Champion with the banner can be found upstairs in one of the two-floor huts. He has a "Mighty Charge", so don't stand too close to the edge if you use a ranged attack as he can knock you off! Not too much damage , but you feel like a right wally.

First, just to make this perfectly clear: NOBODY CARES THAT YOU SOLO'D IT. You want to tell someone that you solo'd it, tell your dog. DON'T TELL US.

Second, after you've picked up this quest, you have to obtain the banner. The only mob who'll drop the banner you need is a Bladespire "Champion". As of 4.3, they're NOT elite, so boasting about soloing one of them should only be embarrassing to you. You might have to check several different buildings inside the Bladespire Hold, but he'll be on the second floor of one of those buildings which HAVE second floors. Try 38.58, 40.58, 41.47, or 48.50.

Finally, once you've got the banner, it's time to head down to the Bloodmaul Hold. On top of Northmaul Tower at 47.74, you'll find one ogre and another ogre patrolling the ramp up to the top and back down again. After you've cleared them, you'll have plenty of time to plant the banner on top of the tower and clear the 3 waves of 2-3 mobs each before Gurn Grubnosh spawns. Unless you're taking a LOT of time, you'll also have time to top off your health between each wave.

By 4.3, NONE of the mobs you need to kill are elite any longer, NONE of them are especially difficult, and NOBODY should have to specify that they "solo'd it". If you CAN'T solo this quest, go play some other game.

Man, I wasted more time flying around on a slow mount, trying to follow all the annoying, contradictory posts... Trust me, just follow the instructions here, and you'll do fine.

You need to go to Bladespire Hold before going to where the icon sends you on the map. This is where the champion is, and he is hiding in a hut as other people have mentioned at 41:46. After this, you then go to the tower! Hope this helps.

Ok, now I get it. You have to go to the champion hut (coords 41:46) & defeat the champion there. He's surprisingly aggressive. Once you defeat him & loot the Bladespire Clan Banner, go to the north tower & defeat the NPCs (in groups of 2) 'til you get the Helm of Gurn Grubnosh. There's nothing to click on (including the drops) so if you receive a message "no charge here" means its not meant to do that. Next/Last step is to go back to Sylvanaar & meet Commander Skyshadow to hand in your quest. Its that easy.

So after reading the comment that has the most likes, i thought dang i am a rouge might be kinda hard. HAHA not so much. As stated new waves 2-2-2- boss, and after each round take you out of combat so going back into stealth made it even easier. No worry guys this quest is not hard at all.

oh and to get the flag you have to kill a champion in the area you got the quest. i found my upstairs in a building around 41:46

After looking around, finally found the Champion's and you MUST kill a champion.....

coordinates 38.58. in the midway up the ramp...for a lvl 66 warrior, tank....its a 2 hit kill, then you will receive the banner.

Horrible quest design. If you plant your banner when there is already one on the tower, you have to completely start over. You cannot loot another banner and the one you have will have 0 charges. Destroying the used up banner will drop the quest. Go pick up the quest again, kill another Champion (longer than average spawn time), and wait for a clear tower to plan your banner on.

Getting the flag
To get the Bladespire Clan Banner, you will need to kill a Bladespire Champion.

You have to kill a Champion in Bladespire Hold in middle of map to get the banner before you can plant it on top of the tower. After planting banner, stay on top of the tower killing ogres as they run up the ramp until boss appears.

I opened a ticket about it, told Blizz they can either give me credit for that exact nonsense that happened to me, or they can quit wasting my time and I will just abandon the quest. It's their screwup, and I said exactly that to them and told them they should give me credit for it. I suggest other people do that same thing if you run into this buggy nonsense. this bug STILL EXISTS this many years later! Things like this are exactly why I'm losing a lot of faith in Blizzard's ability to design a decent game. They REFUSE to fix well-known, existing bugs that have been present for YEARS, and they continually refuse to even ADMIT to the bugs they know are there. And the thing is, I really want the chest armor from this quest, but I refuse to go back and spend another 20 minutes messing around when it's THEIR issue.

Use the Bladespire Banner atop the Northmaul Tower to lure Gurn Grubnosh. Collect the Bladespire Clan Banner and the Helm of Gurn Grubnosh.

Description

I want you to steal the Bladespire banner from one of their champions and take it south to Bloodmaul Outpost. Plant it atop their Northmaul Tower.

This will infuriate the Bloodmaul and they will attack you relentlessly. But it will also keep their hatred focused on Bladespire Hold, and away from Sylvanaar.

You will know you have accomplished the deed when you have defeated Gurn Grubnosh and taken his helm. Return it to Sylvanaar.
