You can stay just out of aggro range and place the mugs next to the Bladespire ogres (the North ones) and they aggro and you get credit for them. If you place them too far from the ogre or if you aggro the ogre first, you get no credit.

At the area there are two tribes the right one is Bladespire that is located at the North (43,52) of the quest giver.

This quest was impossible to me if I tried to take mobs that were standing still. I put a keg infront of patrolling mobs so they'd walk right into it. This way I didn't even have to kill them

Ok this quest is very easy. all u have to do is go north tell 43, 52. and i just used the same 2 orges over and over. make sure u target them befor u use the keg. u dont have to be to close but dont be too far away lolz. i was 66 druid. there is a 30 sec cool down

If you are a priest, use Mind Soothe. After that just place keg and move away... piece of cake.

just something you all should know the brew is in the bloodmaul area and the drunks are in the bloodspire area, lol i bashed my head till i reread the quest , it works a lot better knowing that

i just completed this quest with single mob and i didnt kill any1 or got any aggro. just TARGET the mob, go to the range so you dont aggro and drop the beer and instantly ran away, wait 30secs for cooldown and repeat this 5 times.

There seem to be a few ogres around the dragon ephigy (the one with the Thunderlord Clan arrow on top) that don't move. no idea if it's a bug, but I just stood there out of aggro range and dropped a keg every 30 seconds. Didn't have to move (there is a pat, but he died just before I did this) and no risk of getting aggro

I'm was lvl 67 ud mage when I did this, very, very easy, no problems at all

I put it out on about 20 yards, if you are mage, put it out when you are in range for Fire Blast(20 yards)

As a rogue, i was able to stealth right up to the ogres, drop the keg at their feet, and it would satisfy the quest. it also breaks stealth and aggros the mob so watch out :P hope that helps for the rogues and druids out there.

the quest is very easy , all you have to do is use the keg then run away , be sure to stand not too close so you don't agro . When the ogre comes to drink , run out of agro range and you get credit for it . You can do it 5 times on a single mob , have fun ;)

My method was I pressed "v" on the keyboard which made the enemy's health bar appear above there head. The health bar only appears when you are close to the target. I continued to move closer until health bar did show up which is in range for the keg to work.

The actual range i found was to be 30 yards. I used the range of my wand to help for that no need for me to use mind sooth.

Did this as level 67 shaman. Tried five times and got it five times. 20yd range was enough to get them drunk so it's no problem to complete this quest.

You can Agrro 1 Ogre BUT you need to target him no need to attack him. and you put danm the bear and they will pass over the bear and you will have 1 ogre drunken NO NEED TO wait so the ogre comes to the bear. THE BEAR COMES TO THE Ogre = - P

Very easy quest. I don't know why everyone had so many problems, but I found I could put the booze anywhere, without it being targeted, and an ogre would come and drink it. Never got aggro on one. I just dropped the booze infront of the same one five times, got all five needed for the quest, even though it was only one ogre.

Also, if you picked up some brew the timers arent the same, so you can drop a keg and a brew at the same time. So you can do 2 at a time.

I had an easy time with the quest too, you just have to be in range and as soon as you drop the drink the ogre will run towards it. You have to be out of aggro range as he comes. i went to a group around the campfire and did all of them, i aggroed 1 but that was it

This quest is very easy. The keg is a 30second cool down. I just used all charges on 1 ogre. Took about 20 seconds for him to reset, even then I had to wait the other ten on the cooldown. No need to find 5 diffrent orges. Works on 1 orge repatidly

Questlines with the Bladespire/Bloodmaul Ogres become trivial once you have completed the Ogri'La prequests. Since all the ogres think you are ogre royalty from that moment on they don't agro.

So while this doesn't really help people leveling up, it does make it some easy gold completing them while 70.

A note for rogues;

You will not get credit if the ogre drinks the keg while you are stealthed.

At 41,53 there is a campfire that is surrounded by ogres, i placed the keg down near there, and got 3 drunk at one time.

So far i've already dropped this quest and re-aquired once.
I'm a 65 troll rogue.

I sap the target, put down the key, then run off and sap a different one. I gained no credit. I've attempted this 5 times already on my 2nd quest attempt.

5 charges left in my keg, I let sap wear off and even while the Cook was sapped it was putting out dialog linked to the quest.

I'm willing to say that this quest is currently bugged.

A good tactic if you're a druid lvl 68 or above is to just place the keg and then pop flight form, worked a charm for me.

If you run out of charges you can just go back to Bloodmaul and kill a Brewmaster. Bloodmaul Brutebane Brew have the same effect!

Tip for all mages:

1. Face opposite direction of ogre
2. Drop keg
3. Blink
4. Repeat

Pulled no aggro at all :)

Seems 100% bugged. Tried on moving ogres and stationary, brutes and shamans. Every attempt succeeded without getting aggro, but the number of ogres I'd gotten drunk never went up...

EDIT: OK, I feel silly. Just realized why nothing was working - I was in a raid group for Zul'Gurub when I was trying this. Lesson learned - don't quest while in a raid group!

Because I personally found myself waiting for cooldown more than I was waiting for Brute's to lure, I found out that if you're in a hurry, be sure to grab a couple of the Bloodmaul Brutebane Brew's from the barrels or brewmasters down south, because they don't share a cooldown with the Bloodmaul Brutebane Keg, so you can finish the quest twice as fast if you'd rather just pick it up and get it done.

If this quest doesn't seem to work, make sure you are in the correct place.
The area you acquire & hand in the quest is the Bloodmaul Ogre area.
The Bladespire Ogres are to the North.
If you run out of charges on the keg, you can use Bloodmaul Brutebane Brew instead.

Good hints here, thank you. Place the mug just inside of doorway of their house, they will aggro and run out so just run away till you are out of combat. They return to their house, see the mug and drink it up. Can do this on the same ogre till you complete the quest.

i'm a blood elf warrior finally just finished the quest to many ppl saying the quest was bugged which i think it is, my way around it was, just used my flying mount would go over any ogre standing still drop the keg ( of course u fall off your mount by this time) but i got the credit for it and i did aggro the ogre aftwards just killed it and continued on the rest of the quest this way first 5 ogres first 5 kegs gg

I guess I think of things in terms of programming. A lot of people have given very good advice on how to do the quest. I was just wondering from the programmers, why in the world did you place a CD on the placed Kegs? And then the next question for you guys, why did you place such a long CD on the placed kegs? I put a keg down, it attracts an Ogre, he walks over, I kill him, and I'm still waiting on the CD to finish. Seriously, it doesn't need a CD in the first place and it really doesn't need a CD longer than the fight. What is the purpose of making us wait? I would think having us get "tipsy" would have been a much better way to extend the quest, if that's what the purpose of the CD was for. It'd be funny watching players (or yourself) fighting the ogres drunk. Anyway, I'm sure nothing will change at this late date, just curious why the CD.

Need to place the beer *near* an ogre. They won't take it if you've already aggro'd them.

Sometimes tough since this is a major killing place for other quests.

Long cool down too - 30 seconds.

if you get 2 extra Bloodmaul Brutebane Brew from the previous quest, you can also use it for this quest to half the time to complete the quest since it and the quest item have separate cooldowns.

This is absurdly easy as a Rogue. You don't ever need to break Stealth.

Description

As T'chali was saying, he helped out his Bloodmaul friends to make their brew. But what T'chali did not say was why.

The Bloodmaul are in dire straits. The Bladespire clan be crushing them, and they needed a new weapon to help out with their fight.

That's when T'chali came up with a great idea. Why not make the perfect brew, one that strengthens you and weakens your enemy? Only thing is, T'chali does not know if it works.

So, you gonna take this brew up to Bladespire Hold and see if it works!
