I dont remember where I got 'Recipe: Turf'

I just got 'Recipe: Surf' off of a 深水刺壳蟹Deepwater Spikeback in the southern end of the Jandvik harbor in Suramar.

My guess is that it can drop off of any 'seafood' in Azuregale Bay. Please reply if you get the Surf recipe off of anything else.

You can get this recipe by combining the two parts of it: 食谱：海 & 食谱：陆.

食谱：海 often dropped by crabs around Azuregale Bay such as 海滩刺壳蟹, 深水刺壳蟹 or 钳胫.
食谱：陆 usually looted from stags and does at the same area: 心木雄鹿, 心木母鹿

I can confirm that surf drop from spikeback´s, but the droprate are very bad, i killed approx. 50

Recipe: Surf - Drops from all crabs in Suramar, can find one while doing the murloc love quests on the west coast.
Recipe: Turf - Drops from all deer in Suramar. can kill a few while opening up the Nighteyes quest chain.

They may share unique counter.

This may need confirmation but from my experience I first killed like 6 dears and got 2 turf recipes. Later i was farming crabs for Surf recipe and it would not drop (killed like 50 of them). So I threw away one of the turf recipes and surf dropped from next crab I killed. It is possible that RNG gods are just playing with me, but in my opinion they share unique(2) counter. Please confirm this if you had similar experience.

Turf drops from the many deer in the coastal region of Suramar. I got it first pull, around four deer.

Surf is harder. The crabs on the north coast of the bay take a while to respawn, and there are only six or so each time. I got mine on my fourth kill of Pinchshank - who respawns in about ten seconds.

Once you learned 食谱：苏拉玛海陆大餐, it is safe to drop excess Recipe: Surf and Recipe: Turf

Doing 贾德维克维库人 quests in Suramar, part of the 苏拉玛楷模 achievement that start with 铲除障碍, I got several Recipe: Surf from various crabs in Azuregale Bay. Next I got several Recipe: Turf from various stags in Crimson Thicket, and combining them I noted that:

(1). You can get several Recipe: Surf and Recipe: Turf
(2). 食谱：苏拉玛海陆大餐 is BoP and Unique, i.e. you can hold only one and cant combine halves
(3). None of the halves or recipe is vendorable!

To be clear, the recipe drops in two papers, from the mobs here:

Recipe: Surf drops from Deepwater Spikeback
Recipe: Turf drops from Heartwood Stag and Heartwood Doe

Simply click on one to put them "together" for Rank 1 of this recipe.

The Deepwater Spikeback is a crab that is found on the sand, in the water. I killed about 15 to get the drop

The does and stags are plentiful along the paths down to the water, I probably didn't kill more than 13 of each.

Although the links to Recipe: Surf are showing up on Wowhead as broken, this IS definitely still in the game. Still dropping from Deepwater Spikenbacks. Mine was at /way 55.0 44.8 on the ledge area above where Rok'nash starts his patrol.

Recipe: Surf Drops off of the Coastal Spikeback! I spent 30 minutes killing hard to farm Deepwater Spikeback 's and not a single drop! When I read that Coastal Spikeback 's also drop it, I got the recipe after 3 kills. I don't know if this is RNG bad luck, but with 8% drop rate listed, I had to have killed enough Deepwater's for 4 guaranteed drops, and after only killing 3 Coastals (which are much easier to kill by the way) I got the drop. Do the coastals and not the deepwaters. I made an account just so that this might be corrected.

I farmed the surf half for about an hour without it dropping. I then had the idea to delete it on another character and it dropped for the other character right after. No idea if that's a coincidence, but something to keep in mind.

Ok Folks, The SURF recipe, on the SE corner of Suramar City, right after you pass the harbor there is a rare: Pinchshank, first kill dropped it OR for the SURF recipe, if you pass over the City into the lagoon, Azuregale Bay, the crabs along that shoreline drop it.

I looted 食谱：海 from crabs in Surumar, then received 食谱：苏拉玛海陆大餐 (rank 1) from Nomi's Test Kitchen. I learned the recipe received from the Test Kitchen, then farmed Heartwood Stags and Does to loot 食谱：陆. After combining 食谱：海 and 食谱：陆, I still received rank 1 of 食谱：苏拉玛海陆大餐, which of course was already learned from the recipe from Nomi's Test Kitchen. So if you don't feel like farming for the recipe halves and you trust Nomi's cooking skills, you can potentially receive 食谱：苏拉玛海陆大餐 (rank 1) from Nomi's Test Kitchen.

Had to kill about 30 of the Stags and Does in Crimson Thicket area of Suramar for the Turf part of the recipe to drop. Just my experience.
