Welcome to Wowhead's Classic Era Best in Slot Gear list for Druid Healer in WoW Classic. This Best in Slot Gear guide will list the recommended gear and enchants for Druid Healer. Sourcing gear from raids, dungeons, PvP, professions, world drops, reputations, and instances. Classic Era Realms have all raid content in WoW Classic available, meaning many best in slot pieces of gear will come from Naxxramas, a raid that released in Phase 6 of WoW Classic's original launch.
Best In Slot Gear for Restoration Druid Healer - Classic Era
The unique thing about druid gearing is that there are at least four distinct sets between
Blackwing Lair and Naxxramas
that are all tailored around a specific set bonus and playstyle.
The
8/8 T2
set was widely used in
安其拉
and
纳克萨玛斯
during Classic, especially on the
萨菲隆
encounter, and is even better on Season of Mastery and Hardcore realms due to the removal of the buff cap. The main benefit of this set is that the additional tick amounts to so much extra healing that there is no combination of gear in the game that is better for pure
raidhealing than
8/8 T2
.
Although any Restoration Druid build can make use of this set, it obviously shines the most when using the Swiftmend spec.
The
5/8 T2
set makes use of the set bonus granting you quicker
casts in combination with the dedicated Regrowth spec to provide rapid direct healing. Although it can be very strong in the earlier tiers, the heavy mana consumption makes it hard to endure the longer fights in Ahn'Qiraj and Naxxramas and it's nowhere as good as nowhere as good as Rejuvenation focused builds for fights with constant rot-damage.
All in all, it's generally not worth running anymore once you reach Naxxramas.
The
8/8 T3
set primarily goes for the mana cost refund bonus which can be great for spamming high-rank
casts, particularly in combination with the Moonglow spec and

Finally, the best of all three worlds can be found in the
4/8 T3
set. This one is definitely weaker at Rejuvenation spam than 8/8 T2 but other than that it's a versatile option with strong offpieces for high +healing that works well with any of the three specs and is great for general usage outside of the fights that heavily favour Rejuvenation.

If you do wish to optimize loot distribution beyond that, you could choose to prioritize Druids and Priests on

While healer loot is generally negligible, Paladins and Shamans do not benefit from Spirit so by giving them the Mp5 option instead makes sense. As for the Anub'Rekhan drop, Priests are the only healers who get a free T3 ring that actually compares to the other ones at the top of this list, so that gives everyone a fair chance at filling up their two slots.

Nearly every Druid who has used it regards

as the most impactful healing item in the entire expansion and more or less kept it equipped permanently.
Unless you are on the Hardcore realms where Edge of Madness tends to be fairly risky, you should make sure to get it as soon as possible. It brings your
cast time down to 1.5s to 2.1s, depending on the rank, and also reduces its mana cost by 5% for 15s, which is just as powerful as it sounds.
That said, on encounters like Sapphiron that feature heavy-rot damage, using double +healing trinkets can be very effective as well.
