For Tankadins:
This stacks with Righteous Fury multiplicatively.
So you would generate 194% threat.
10 Spelldamage = ~6 Threat Per Second
Therefor this enchant is equivalent to 20 spelldamage at ~570 Threat per second.
If you can output over 570tps, go for this enchant.
If you output under 570tps, go for 20 Spelldamage.

As a protect warrior, I have 1.49 bonus to gain aggro
2% of that, give me 1.52% ... around +3% aggro
That mean i have free heroic on every 30th hit on mob. I have 1.60 speed weapon -->> 37 hit in minute (w/o parry bonus) - I do 37 HS = 333 rage ... 1/30 of that = +11 rage in minute.
That only if i spam heroik

I think a simple rule for tanking is to use this enchant untill your hit rating and expertise rating are starting to reach 100% hit chance(142 and 66 respectfully). Once you start to reach those numbers switch to Glove Reinforcements-

Armor is better then stamina and the armor enchant packs more stat points then the stamina one. Shield spikes are also useful for threat untill your hit chance gets better.

Prot Pallies should go with this enchant over +20 spell damage if they are already pushing 700+ tps. It scales very well with spell damage over 200.

Permanently enchant gloves to increase threat from all attacks and spells by 2%.
It's for tanks... has nothing to do with crit chance, makes ALL their attacks do 2% more aggro, so its very nice.

this is awesome, its about time that they make more and more enchants that do more than jus tsilly buffs, i think that u should be able to get just about anything u can get from an item (except for uber procs, of course) from a really hard to do enchant.
the enchant itself is awesome, your MT is now 2% more effective(to those of you who think that 2% is not worth it, it is. 2% is 2%, its still MUCH better than nothing)

the 2% threat to spells also affect a warriors shout, aka demoralizing, and others. This isnt really that great when u think about it but its better then nothing

Specifically the Twin Emps in AQ40. One is immune to melee and spits out shadow based damage. Warlocks get 75 shadow resists that no other class can get (MD Felhunter + Demon Armor)
As far as anyone saying "30% reduction from soul link too", it's not reduction, it's divertion. If you do Twin Emps with soul link, your healers have to watch your pet too. I would rather have my healers looking at one bar instead of two.

A druid critting with a nuke heal ccan reach up to 6k healing. Tell me that doesn't cause a lot of threat

Seems like this enchant is actually targeted at paladins (and druids and shaman I suppose, but I play a pally) first, then warriors. Much of a pally's threat generation comes from holy damage (judgments, consecrations, holy shock, seal procs, and retribution aura). This enchant will give its added threat to both white (physical) and yellow (holy) damage. Without any sort of taunt ability, a tanking paladin can use any sort of threat enhancement he can find. Once I get my tanking set sorted out, I'll decide if this or a Core Armor Kit goes on my Deathbone Guardian Gauntlets.
Of course, the problem comes when the hybrid class has to drop back and heal, and now his healing is generating more threat than usual. Obviously, this is worse for a druid than a paladin, but druids have threat-reduction talents that should compensate.

This isn't exactly made for warlocks and the twin emps fight. Tanks have spells also; their shouts. And pre 2.0, these were amazing aggro grabbing abilities. Shouts agro was nerfed in 2.0, but even pre-2.0, +15 agi is better for warrior and druid tanks. Cannot speak for pallies as I don't have one.

That yeah- locks tank during twin emps but honestly, this is an expensive enchant and locks wont want to get this enchant JUST for that boss. itll make life a helluva a lot harder when they are doing basically anything else. it also that no one does AQ anymore as BC has come out. and tanks really need this, unless they make a better one (greater threat or w/e)it is a must have for end game tanks.

Tbh this is pretty usefull even at lvl 70, tho people say its not good cause you aggro very easy at high lvl :P some BS i say, but at lvl 70 its easy to get. i just DE'ed my old epics lol

Overall the added AP/BLOCK is just better. You do more and take less dmg helping out quite a bit on those long intensive raid fights. Obviously everyone knows the tanks job is not dmg, but why not? I ask you why not help where ever you can? "forest gump" and thats all i have to say about that. =x
I wanted to edit this comment a little. I'm not shooting for AP it's just a bonus from additional strength. Agility adds minimal armor at 12, and crit rating is chance. AP is consistant. Further more, The majority of the "true" tanking gear comes with Stamina & Strength

people talk about what they have tanked and how they all know better but most of u as posted befor not got a clue or just missing the point.
To me the point of this enchant as one of the MT of my guild is that the rest of the guild can put out MORE dps on a mob I am tanking.

I'm doing some math and I'm leaning to this simple rule:
AoE-tanking - Go for 20 spell-dmg. To get the same amount of threat with 2% more (from spellpower) you would need a lot of spellpower, more than is possible (about 3800 if I do my math right)

x 2 (8 second spell)
x 1,9 (talents for threat)
x 50 (for it to be as effective as 2% more threat)
= 3800
Single target tanking - Go for 2% threat. It doesen't take much spellpower for this to be more effective that 20 more on gloves, just over 250 would be enough depending on weaponspeed.

x 0,092 (coefficient for weapondmg)
x 1,6 (weaponspeed)
x 1,9 (talents for imp. threat)
x 50 (same as above)
= 280
The "normal" hits with 2% threat (counting at 150-ish) equals just over 10 spellpower in terms of threat
For Holy Shield it's 1 more dmg per charge of the shield. Just 95 spelldmg makes 2% threat equal for holy shield-threat.
(95 x 0,02 / 1,9 = 1)
My conclution: if you are at 400 spellpower raidbuffed 2% threat is a better option for an all-round better threat but it also depends much on your tanking style.
DISCLAMER: All formulas for calculating spelldmg is from the wowwiki-chapter about spelldamage. If they are incorrect, the results may not be accurate.

I will give an example of +2% threat:
Example:-
Your are tank and you hit a 1000 white damage and gain 500 agro, whith the +2% threar you do not get 500 agro, you get 510 agro, this 2% increase increases you agro

Insane materials?
When you get MC on lamer status you get atleast 20 nexus crystals per run and i think its a recipe dropped in AQ 20

The problem with this is that no one dones pre BC content anymore. This means NExus Crystals actualy cost far more then Voids, if they are even in the AH.
Why waste a massive amount of money or time getting this, when you can 15str for a laughable 12 dust and 1 essence. Thats penny cash compared to what this wants, if it costed you anything at all, get your trash DEed.
I don't think this is worth getting by any means. +2% isn't worth the costs, especially if you keep aggro decent enough already, in such cases it doesn't do anything at all. The same can't be said about STR, no matter how well your threat is, it isn't going to waste since it causes you to do more dmg and block for more, where as this is nothing if you already keep aggro. It makes alot more sense to get the STR, you kill a little bit faster, doing more dmg means more threat anyway, and then STR gives Block on top of it.
