A word of warning: If you don't immediately use the rod on the fallen enemies, they very quickly despawn. About one minute.

for those using carboniteaddon.com - both free one and subscriber version shows locations

anyways using my flying mount i landed on higher ground above each of them and when the ledge nearest is not in range for range shoot. i sent my void walker down to argo the target then click on passive to make pet return to you. this is used with nightshade.

the vile guy u can shoost from ledge above him and then when he comes up sent VW to tank him while you plummel the crap out of him.

the leaper guy follows the path along the veranda just below the tower where you destroyed the oculous earlier.

best thing to do is wait till he is alsmost half way between two other mobs on the path , fly in wards to the alcove in front of you, that if timed right will argo him and you dismount with VW attacking him and plummel him ... lol and i dinged 78 once i handed this in...

I did this quest tonight and had to wait a very long time for The Leaper to spawn. We even submitted a ticket, he took so long. So be patient if you circle around and he isn't there.

Helpful hint for ranged players. I just did this on my mage and the Lady and Vile have a spot on the cliff above them where you can land, shoot at them, and have them die before reaching you. I was able to do that without aggroing the other mobs.

Shades of Castlevania 3 unless I'm mistaken. Sypha the witch, Grant the leaper, the creature Vile, and of course Baron Silver, standing in for Alucard. I was humming "Vampire Killer" as I did this questline.

I looked for the leaper for a long time also. After following the ledge for about 5 mins killing mobs He jumped out at me from nowhere. Maybe thats why hes called the leaper?

2 Things i've noticed during this quest.
First the leaper does travel counter clockwise so if your on a slow flying mount go clockwise on the ledge or it will take you forever to find him.
Second is (even though it is a channeling spell) you can click on the rod mount up and start flying away. The channeling will not stop and you'll get credit while continuing on to the next part.

Well I think we all agree Joana is a legend. Might I add that when looking for the leaper, I just killed a couple of mobs on the ledge and he lept on me. While I was checking wowhead he respawned and lept on me again.

Amusingly, if you fly above the leaper and hit him with a spell, he will jump to where you were hovering, and fight you from that height even though you will fall to the ground.

Just a note for The Leaper, I found it helpful to make the below target macro while flying around the mid tier, since he didn't really stand out to me.

the leaper is right on the roof above the guy you get the quest from just fly around the roof and he is up there just leaping around he will start from one end and leap to the other end now can some one please tell me where in the hell to find the VILE?

Location of the objectives:

The Leaper is walking around on the roof over Baron Silver

Vile and Lady Nightswood is located on the sides of the entry of The Shadow Valut, Close to Baron Silver.

Baron Sliver at the Shadow Vault wants you to use the Sovereign Rod on the corpses of Vile, Lady Nightswood, and The Leaper.

Description

Vile, Lady Nightswood, and The Leaper would make excellent weapons in the fight against the Lich King if they can be broken from his will. That is what the Sovereign Rod is for.

You'll find them on the ledges to the east and west of the vault, as well as on the mid-tier of the vault above us. The rod is to be used upon the corpses of the three.

Fly now. We will have them as our own!
