It seems sometimes you die even if you fall from the quest (as taken from above).

For me in the four times I fell in there: 1st I bubbled (before I got the quest, didn't know what to expect), 2nd I left without using the "pulsing crystal" so I left which lead to the 3rd time I died because I jump straight in there off my ground mount, 4th I flew into the middle and dropped (which in turn me dieing again due to the the water not loading fast enough, I went straight down without falling where the water should have been )

The only thing I can think of is the first time if you don't make it just fly down there until the water loads and then fall to speed it up some.

I hope that helps someone.

EDIT - Fifth time I fell, I flew significantly lower than I did before the last time I dropped, landed without a hitch. 6th time fly higher than I did the 4th time I had fell, landed perfectly. I imagine now it's the water not loading fast enough.

wow wtf do i do if i died (path of frost was on) and had to re spawn outside of the area. I cannot figure out how to get back inside this place from out side, i gave up and dropped the quest.

anyone figure this out? I don't know what to do, i flew around it for awhile and cant find anyway back inside.

When I first entered the area under the Citadel and saw the hole with the glow at the bottom I immediately thought of a Death Star.

I didnt know I had to look underwater so I just took the portal back to the surface, and then when I realized my mistake I went back and fell again, but it killed by the second time:P

the easiest way back down is to fly down the hole you fell down you wont dismount until your at the crack at the bottom, you fly through the crack and it dismounts you for a 10 foot fall in the water

I equipped my parachute cloak just to be on the safe side, from what I read here afterwards, it wasn't overly cautious :-)

hmmmmm, setting off bombs, falling down a wicked looking pit, with bright colors and crazy monsters at the bottom, finding a little spirit boy, killing those same monsters for their blood, bathing in it, and then your back to business, killing ghouls.
HOWEVER
then you see little spirit boy again, and go out-of-body and fight demons

quest line, or acid trip? ill leave that up to you

You can die too without any bug or problems with loading water - near the portal to the surface the water is shallow - enough to stand in it - if you are unlucky to fall directly at that place... Well. It means that karma is not on your side :-)

Look for clues wherever the fall takes you.

Description

As you light the fuse, you notice that it is consumed by fire far quicker than you would expect.

The bombs are about to go off and your best chance at surviving is to lean towards the pit and hope the fall doesn't kill you.
