Only works on targets you killed yourself, but when you attempt on someone elses kill, it will say invalid target, instead of tapped. This confused me, making me think it was bugged for a while.

And cant click them to loot.

I was having problems in this area. I kept being in combat for the whole time I was undertaking the quests in Scourgeholme. Even when I used invisibility. :(

One of the rewards, Staff of Redeemed Souls is the highest +spirit weapon available pre-level-80 heroics if gemmed and enchanted appropriately, so caster druids will want to pick this up as soon as possible for your innervate swap weapon.

Throw in a Sparkling Majestic Zircon and a Enchant Weapon - Exceptional Spirit and you're sitting at a whopping +130 spirit just on this weapon. That should give you a nice boost to your innervate assuming you aren't already maxing out your mana pool on innervate due to an excess of spirit. If that's the case, get an +intellect swap weapon to increase your mana pool during innervate instead!

If you're like me and did The Purging Of Scourgeholme before this quest (I didn't see the "!", or i just don't know if it was available) anyway just a few steps east right before the Breach there should be 8 Crusaders of Virtue. Stay there. The skeletons should come to them and they will kill them, throw in a few attacks if you want for loot.

When the skeletons die, just use the Holy Water that Father Gustav gives you.

This quest is much easier if u just go to the group of guards by the entrance to scourgeholme, make sure u hit the crusaders before the guards and the guards will kill themobs much quicker than u can solo. spawn time for attacking crusaders isn't too long and certainly makes the quest easier

I have noticed that I can't auto attack on the crusaders by clicking on them... unless I turn my screen and go in from an angle. Same goes with looting. Is this a bug or glitch?

I killed about 15 Reanimated Crusaders, but the Holy Water doesn't work. When I try to sprinkle them, the cursor turns gray. Am I killing the wrong ones?

You can now get credit for Crusaders killed by the Crusaders of Virtue located just a few steps away from the quest giver. Just let the Reanimated Crusaders come out of the canyon and get owned by the army of Crusaders of Virtue, and sprinkle water after they're done. If you help enough, you can also loot them and have a possibility of getting a Scourgestone for the sister quest The Scourgestone.

Ok, I was totally confused by this quest until I figured it out. Short version: you have to kill the the reanimated crusaders (skeletons walking around Scrougeholm) and then use the holy water on their corpses.

Father Gustav at the Valley of Echoes in Icecrown wants you to use Holy Water on the corpses of Reanimated Crusaders to free 10 restless souls.

Description

Not all of our soldiers made it out of Scourgeholme. Many were slain and turned into twisted reflections of their former selves. Such is the way of the Scourge. For those damned souls, there is no eternal peace. We must provide their souls rest.

Travel through the Breach into Scourgeholme and slay the skeletal reanimated crusaders. Sprinkle this holy water on their bones so that their spirits may be freed.
