The Illidari-Bane questline is a series of quests that leads to some cool anti-demon weapons. It involves entering many level-70 instances, so you probably want to do the prerequisites before then. David Wayne is also rumored to be Mograine of the Ashbringer.

After returning Additional Materials, he offers you two quests which can be completed in any order.

So...David Wayne is the top candidate for Mograine's son...

And he wants a crystal to forge a weapon...

That kinda shows it cuz, I mean, he WOULD know a little something about corrupted weapons...

This ques CANNOT be completed on heroic. Warbringer O'mrogg does not drop the q-item.

The description should not be edited to show that it only drops on Normal. It should simply be changed to drop on both Normal and Heroic.

Whoever came up with this quest line don't plan to do either.

Recover the Tear of the Earthmother from Warbringer O'mrogg and return it to David Wayne at Wayne's Refuge.

Description

The sword's enchantments must be contained within a powerful focus, such as a gem. I know of a gem that we can use for this purpose, for there are few that can play host to such powerful magics without shattering.

The gem we need is called the tear of the earthmother. It's a powerful artifact in the hands of the ogres who created it, and Warbringer O'mrogg, who currently holds the gem, has many powerful allies in Hellfire Citadel's Shattered Halls. Take care in retrieving the tear, <name>.
