For a quest chain THIS long, I would expect Blizzard would give you more than three choices.
Some of the other TBC quests offer a choice of up to 6 rewards.

I feel that a lot of players whose class and talent spec don't quite sync up to the rewards got gypped.
Case in point: MS Arms Warriors. The thing is too fast, and the DPS is low for a reward from a 65-67 zone.

From a lore point of view, its quite interesting to see the end result of the efforts (same quest line) between the Alliance here and the Horde version, it is good storytelling of the poor leadership on the side of the Horde in Nagrand. Note the difference in the Completion text.

Note this quest is called Message to Telaar and not "A" message to Telaar, which just gives exp, no items.

FYI: In pre-Cataclysm events you might not find this guy from time to time due to elemental invasions right next to where he usually is. Just kill the elementals and wait for him to respawn.

If you're reading this and Cataclysm has already released... it's probably no longer a problem :)

"For shure" Lantresor's Warblade is an awesome-looking weapon, but if, like me, you also really want Burning Blade Devotee's Cinch to use for transmogrification purposes for your monk/druid (not including rogues since they can't utilize the polearm), head to UBRS, and go farm up Blackhand Doomsaw before it (likely) gets removed in Warlords.

Edit: With the release of the Legion Wardrobe feature, you should now have access to both quest items when you turn in the quest on someone who can use both items. Alternately, you can do the quest on two different characters to collect both appearances. Blackhand Doomsaw is no longer obtainable; however you can collect the appearance via this quest.

I've done this on multiple higher level characters to obtain the Lantresor's Warblade (Horde) or Lantresor's Warblade (Alliance) for xmog. I was surprised by the lack of information out there on how to start and complete this quest chain, so I put together my strategy for others to use.

For Horde:

The Impotent Leader
Don't Kill the Fat One: I actually really enjoyed the challenge of this quest as a higher level character. We're always killing things but how often are you told NOT to kill something? To complete this quest at level 100 you must do one of the falling: (a.) The easiest way is to recruit a lower level character to help you beat down Unkor the Ruthless without killing him. You can usually find someone running around the area. Offer to help them kill Ogres if they will help you NOT kill Unkor the Ruthless and it will be a win-win. (b.) Or acquire EZ-Thro Dynamite II, which can be crafted by engineers, but does not require engineering to use. Purchase one from the AH or you can get 5 as a reward from the quest Shizz Work from the chain beginning with Outland Sucks! in Hellfire Peninsula (don't worry, it's short and easy and there are no other prerequisites other than level). Remove all of your armor so there is nothing to proc or add damage. Run up to Unkor the Ruthless, toss an EZ-Thro Dynamite II at him which should leave a sliver of health, and you're done!
