DO NOT use your Dal hearth stone, lol. Just talk to Mother.

If you do, take the portal to Stormwind, then the portal back to Boralus and then go talk to Mother.

No need to run the dungeon, just talk to Ebonhorn. He'll direct you to talk to Navarogg, who will take you to the instance.

Easy peasy.

If you do run into the old Neltharion's Lair instance - there is a spiritwalker on your right as you exit the water from the bottom of the waterfall. Speak to him and he port's you back outside. Then speak to Navarogg who will take you back in the instance automatically.

Interestingly when you are in there - off to the right you are being watched by Blacktalon watcher - who is an agent of the Black Prince. You can talk to him - but he doesn't give much away at this point. He alludes to something in the future....

I accidentally "ran the entire old dungeon" out of confusion here, defeating all 4 Level 110 Elite bosses solo, and nothing happened with my "Location Investigated" part of the quest. That's when I hit the internet for answers and found out what I did wrong, and also that lots of other players had made the same mistake.

I don''t even know why I ran the old dungeon instance of the new instance, maybe because I did this quest at "night time" and it was dark out and I didn't see Navarogg clearly underneath a swarm of other live players, so I merely talked to Ebonhorn and then ran inside of the old instance portal... thinking that was what I was supposed to do.

Regardless, this was kind of confusing and I wish that the devs would step in here and make some kind of change to make it more clear what the player is supposed to do. Way too many players are accidentally clearing out the old dungeon for no reason, so this is on Blizzard to correct because something here is so counterintuitive that lots of people are chasing their own tails.

I initially couldn't speak with Spiritwalker Ebonhorn, even after a reload and running out and back into the area. Sometimes the dialogue box would come up but wouldn't allow me to click on the option I needed to so as to progress the quest. Popping into the instance and then back out worked though, so give that a try if you're having the same difficulties as I did.

Description

Manifestation of dragon essence detected. Location: Highmountain. Assuming successful retrieval, calculations indicate 92.7 percent probability of empowering Heart of Azeroth. Theory: By combining dragon essence with sufficient quantities of Azerite within Heart Forge, previously undiscovered abilities may manifest within Heart. As Speaker Magni would say: "Get to work, champion."
