Ironically, the first escape pod you open is Gallywix's. When you free him, he says:

Trade Prince Gallywix says: Hello there, <name>. So nice of you to rescue me. No hard feelings, right?

Sadly, he's still a jerk to you even after you save his life.

... And where/when exactly did you hear that? After you got into an escape pod, while you were still in the escape pod, before you were freed from the escape pod? Did you have NBC news on your escape pod TV? :l
