This item currently temporarily duplicates the effects of 范达尔的烈焰镰刀 (Looks are similar to this: 烈焰德鲁伊). It is a consumable, the effect only lasts 10 minutes, you can only carry 5 at a time, and it is BoA.

This is quite disappointing. An item that gives you a buff for 10 minutes, which only stacks up to 5 AND is unique. I don't get why they can't code Fandrals Scythe the way they did with the warlock tier that gives the warlock wings whenever they jump.

All in all it seems all "fun", but it's another disappointing thing, and a way of blizzard showing we can't have fun.

Burning Seed does sound like Blizzard is on the right track for grabbing the attention of all druid players. It certainly got mine. Although, I would like to see the fire kitty and hawk forms as a learnable spell from a quest chain available to any druid that wishes to take on the challenges of the lore and reap the rewards. The idea of an item that you buy from a vendor is the equivalent of the Maple Seed for the druid's Rebirth spell. Reagents were removed for a good reason! And if this is an item exclusive only to the TCG, well, that will quickly dump its popularity. I definitely like where Blizzard is going with this, but I hope for something better.

These items do exist in-game as of Patch 5.2.

They're difficult to find and Druids are the only ones able to loot them, but once found, they should be considered an item well earned and extremely cherished. Which was our intention in the first place.

They have now appeared in the area around Staghelm just by the portal area. This has lead some to speculate they were recently hotfixed into the game to have gone unnoticed this long after many have scoured firelands.

In order to loot more then five you will have to do a soft reset of the instance and mail them to an alt since they are BOA. There also is no level restriction on the item so your low level druid can be a fire cat. By extending the lockout you can farm these easily in a few mins rather then clearing bosses each time. This can be done until a patch is released as those erase all past lockouts.

We need to go mess around with minor glyphs in the Hyjal/Molten Front/Firelands/Hyjal-Firelands areas.

I suspect it may have something to do with the squirrels that throw nuts at the various elementals. Experiment, guys. This is our Rogue pouch.

EDIT: The official Warcraft armory/database lists the item as coming from the Firelands raid, and being a "guaranteed" drop. I believe that it has something to do with taking the critters somewhere in the raid, or perhaps going somewhere in firecat form.

It is unknown if other classes can see the seed on the ground albeit unlootable, or if it is invisible to none but Druids... But files confirm that it shares models with several spiked seeds in game.

I don't want to give it all away as nobody has claimed to have slain the white whale until tonight.

They are in Firelands.
They are not in any lava.
They are hiding in plain sight.

I know some people are having fun trying to discover the source now that Crithto issued a challenge, but Bearface emailed me some specifics earlier today which I was able to replicate in-game.

Just to note, you don't need to kill any bosses to loot these, but only if you make clever use of raid mechanics. I'll explain in the spoiler box below.

As other people have pointed out, these spawn by the thorny portal before Majordomo, and usually that requires killing Baleroc to spawn the bridge. However, if you stealth past all the trash and head to Alysrazor's area (kill the trash there using the Molten Barrage cast by the two Blazing Monstrosity adds to assist), you can start the Alysrazor fight and use the feathers she drops to allow you to fly across the gap to the island where you fight Majordomo.

Be forewarned, the boss fight with Alysrazor doesn't always reset when you fly out there, and her Harsh Winds may eventually kill you. However, you have enough time to loot the seeds and hearth out if you're quick.

I just got these using Chumpacabra's method, and here are some quick facts:

The buff lasts 60 minutes.
The buff persists both in and out of combat. I found that the original cat form briefly flickers back right as you exit combat, but the fire kitty form returns almost instantly.
The buff does not fall off due to damage taken or changing forms. You can happily go from bear to flight form to flame kitty without wasting a seed.
The buff persists through death, just like a flask.

All of the above means that these might be worth getting even if you have a Fandral's Flamescythe, as they allow you keep the fire cat form both in and out of combat without a weapon swap macro or incurring the cooldown of the on-use effect.

I see in red text on this page "This item is not available to players." However this needs to be changed. Blizzard has confirmed it is in game as of 5.2 and it is available only to druids.

Some tips for druids going about getting them without killing bosses:

The trash of Alysrazor is easy if you keep an eye on your health and use the abilities to your advantage. Either interrupt or heal through the Fieroclast casts from the night elves, and wait for the Molten Barrages from the large monstrosity birds.

*NOTE: You CANNOT get up on the back of the birds if you are ALONE. You will simply fly up a bit and then fall off. Try waiting and getting them to follow you with the barrage and hit the egg piles. As a feral, I kited the little hatchlings around in a circle so they were caught in the barrage as well.

When Alysrazor is pulled, DO NOT TAKE FEATHERS YET. She will reset very easily if you just pick up three and try to fly off. Hit her with a dot or two, but WAIT UNTIL THE ADDS SPAWN FOR THE BOSS. Then pick up feathers, and fly off. Sometimes the fight does not reset, and the Harsh Winds might kill you, but you should be able to pick up your five seeds and hearth out of there before it becomes an issue.

The Burning Seeds are TINY. Might need to zoom your camera in. They're little prickly seeds on the ground around the portal.

Confirmed just did this. Two things to note:

Alys Trash - If you are Guardian this is easy. Interrupt the 2 Mobs so they don't stun you. The bird fire will kill them. Then start walking backwards and picking up adds. Your Thrash will slow the adds and the fire chasing you will kill them. You will move slightly faster than the fire so even if it gets close, you can just keep moving.

Kite the fire over the eggs. I just went in a circle around one then around the other.

Then go to one Bird and move in a circle around it then the other. It is very easy once you know what to do.

Once you get the feather just fly to the far end of the bridge, you will see a portal. It looks like a branchy/Thorny lock portal. The seeds are there.

The seeds are VERY SMALL and all around. Look around the portal then look everywhere else. I found two behind the hill. I still only found 4 out of 5 before I decided to hearth so Aly wouldn't kill me.

No group needed to farm the seeds, nor does it require boss killing. Simply go to Alysrazor, fight the 2 monstrosities (birds) by directing the flames over to the eggs. After the eggs are destroyed, direct one of the flames to one of the birds to kill it. When the bird dies finish off the remaining bird.

When the birds are down you can attack Staghelm. He roots you and disappears. When Alysrazor buzzes the arena she will drop feathers. Pick up 3 and get airborne. When you are in the air, fly north to the arena across the gap that Baleroc defends.

When you are on the island, shadowmelt (if you are a Night-Elf) or wait for combat to end. The seeds are a bit hard to spot at first. They look like brown maple seeds / acorns. Pick up 5 and you have profit.

If anyone needs, I can share my heroic 7/7 lockout for firelands.(alliance US) You can get saved with your alt, and then ask a friend to invite your alt into party while your locked out character is still inside. Instance reset resets those seeds as well, so you can get up to 16 seeds per hour if you mail them to your alts.

Being the lazy druid that I strive to be, I didn't want to mess around with trash at all or even start a boss fight for some mechanics, so I started looking for other methods, and I found one.

Before you read any further, this method requires engineering as it takes advantage of the Goblin Glider. All that you have to do is climb the hills behind Alysrazor (Shatterstone), there are a lot of different paths you can take, and some skillful hops and jumps will safe you a lot of time, but if you can get to the back side of the mountain the terrain becomes more smooth and is a lot easier to climb. I found a nice tall hill, hit my rocket boots for good measure and jumped off, hitting my goblin glider. I made it to the far eastern side of the island where Majordomo and the Burning Seed spawns are with plenty of room to spare. Once you make it across just go up over the hillside to where the thorny portal is and look very closely for the seeds in the lava around the portal, they are very tiny and I overlooked them first time there.

TL;DR Engineers can glide off the top of the mountain behind Alysrazor to the island where the seeds spawn.

Let me guess... If you have an upgraded 银色侍从 or 银色小步兵 (so that you have 小马快跑！), you can use his mailbox function to send as many to your alts.
Of course, 移动邮箱 also counts.

Just thought I'd throw in my two cents!

After reading Nyana's post down below, I commented because I was having a hard time defeating the trash. I'm the first to admit, I'm not pro on my Druid by any means..and I don't have a tank or feral spec so I had Boomie/Resto. SO! I thought I'd first say, I'm sure you could do this as Boomkin but my first four tries as Boomie, I couldn't heal myself fast enough so I found it was WAY easier as Resto.

So after I switched to Resto, I found this video (How to solo as a Shadow Priest) mind you, the purpose of mentioning this video is just to give you an idea how to kite the trash the "right" way without dying. (Incase you are having trouble like I was)

With that said, once you defeat the birdies, you are golden!

Start up Aly's fight and grab your 3 feathers BUT make sure Aly flies up in the air first before you decide to go flying or else it will RESET. (Learnt that on attempt #6) :D

Once you are air borne, head over to Domo's spot and loot yourself some seeds!
Can only carry 5 at a time and voila! You are now a very cute fire kitty.

Can confirm that these spawn in either Firelands difficulty (Normal or Heroic.) They Spawn near the portal on Majordomo's side... They are very small and hard to see. You may only loot them if you are a druid, but they are Bind on Account, so you could pick up the 5 (unique) that you can have, then mail them off to another character. Only druids can use and loot them, but it doesn't say anything about non-druids being able to have them in their bags. So in theory you could hold up to 55 seeds at a time (across all 11 characters.) Haven't tested the "mail to another character" theory, but I think it's highly plausible.

How many of them are there on the ground? I know I can only carry five myself, but I have a druid friend who would like them as well, and would make it easier to two-man it if there's sufficient.

Also, if you keep an old raid lockout, do they respawn if you extend it? Or does it have to be entirely reset?

(edit) Ok, I've answered one question; there are five seeds, period. On the other hand, they're relatively easy to get; you need a bit of self healing, at least. In my bear form, I was beaten down to about 10% while getting the birds to kill the fire druids and hatchlings, but it gave me enough rage to be able to self heal with feral regen pretty easily. You can fly directly from Alysrazor's joint to their location; you don't have to go through/over Baelrog's.

Once you have the five, you pretty much have to hearth, you won't be able to fly anymore after it timed out. Once you do, you can mail the five you got to an alt, reset all instances, and go back and do it again. By the time I got to them the second time, my 15 minute hearth had timed out so I could hop out again. (Hearth to the Shrine in the Vale, portal to Stormwind, fly to the Hyjal portal, fly to a nearby flight point, fly to the Firelands raid entrance, ride through the trash and kill the birds, etc.) It is possible to get there without aggroing any trash if you're careful; I rode a mount the whole way, didn't even stealth, so non-nelfs can do it, no need for shadowmeld.

Since you can do that, the raid lockout thing doesn't much matter. Just run around and try and keep the things trying to kill you under the big firebirds's fireballs, and it'll take them out pretty quickly.

I was able to take my time with it, I wasn't taking any damage from the various abilities going on over at Alys's. I had the 'fire' animation, but that seemed to be from the feathers giving me the move and cast buffs.

I made a list of gimmick items which you can use to transform your character into a different form or race or even gender to play around with. Just a warning: Though the comments say that these seeds are hard to see, they're wrong. They are actually VERY hard to see, especially if you normally have your camera zoomed out.

I tried to look everywhere for these seeds, even in the lava. Nothing.

What you need to do is stand in front of the portal where Majordomo Staghelm is (the thorny fiery portal thingy), zoom almost all the way in, and hover over anything that looks like it's a charcoal color and obviously not part of the terrain. Use your mouse to hover until you see your cursor turn into the clickable gear. Click the seed, rinse and repeat.

You can only grab 5 seeds at a time, and after you've grabbed 5, the rest disappear until you return to Firelands. I believe you have to reset the instance and make sure you don't actually have any seeds with you if you want to loot more.

Still there in 5.4.7 ! There are only five seeds located on the floor around the portal, on 管理者鹿盔's platform.
They're quite difficult to see as they are small and don't glow like all this stuff we can now loot.

In order to have more than five you can still do the soft reset tech and they respawn. Don't forget to mail you first 5 to an alt before going again inside the raid !

Now that the effects of this and some toys and things like 水润珠宝 do stack with this one the combined looks are quite unique, I wanted to share some of my experiences with you so you can amaze your fellow gamers.

For example this + 水润珠宝 will now give you kind of an shimmery / green form. Adding 艾利的天镜 with no target will make you look more visible and cooler - in addition to that it seems to make you stay in firekitty form while out of cat form (but not when in bear form and other forms.)

Other than that this, adding 黑火匕首 to the effect of the seed will grant you with purple claws, add 迷时水手结晶 and you will have a purple / pinkish firekitty that you can alter some more with the mirror if wanted.

Using 月牙的爪子 gives you the moon floating on top of your head and with 古怪的抛光石 you will become a burning stonekitty.

There is a lot more versions out there - and they all can be made small with for example 诺格弗格药剂 but I will leave some things for you to discover.

Just keep trying stuff out and you will find your favorite kitty form, then add a 警告标志 with a "Rare Creature" text on it next to you and prepare for the comments. ;)

I tried the feather - flyover trick today (6.0.3), and the seeds did not appear for my druid. It may be necessary to kill the final boss, but he can't even manage baleroc..

No, it was a cool look that took effort. Making it farmable takes effort, it makes it a hard thing to have for your vanity look.

Surprise! The strategy for running for this has changed a bit.

Since Warlords of Draenor, when you're high-level, it's now laughably easy to defeat the mobs to get to the seeds. Before, it was a challenge, but since it was changed, everyone does almost no damage to you, and you do thousands more damage to everyone. Like, you can one-shot each night elf.

HOWEVER, if Alysrazor doesn't reset when you get to the platform. I recommend you have a Hearthstone ready to go. Or be okay with jumping off of high places. It might even be easier for you just soloing the bosses. Her Harsh Winds won't kill you if you're 100, so you're kind of stuck. Additionally, if you're stuck long enough, two adds will spawn in front of you and make you jump out of your seat.

Everything else is the same! I'll add that every time I've looted the seeds recently, all 5 seeds have been in the same little pool of lava on the right. One is orange, so it's harder to see if you haven't looted it before to see what it looks like. It's more like a freckle on the lava.

In 6.1 Majordomo Staghelm will have a chance to drop a toy Fandral's Seed Pouch for druids only. Unlimited uses, 10 min cooldown. Guess it ends the usefulness of burning seed.

I would not be mad, by any means, if they made this into a toy. I would love to be a fire cat again without having to remind myself to collect the seeds and extend the lockout.

Let me update on what this item has become since the 5.2 patches since it's changed drastically.

Burning seeds are BoA and have a duration of 60 minutes. They persist mainly through switching forms, FPs, other items that turn you into things like the Deviate Fish, and death.

They are not hard to find anymore, and you only need to kill up to Gatekeeper Baleroc to obtain your 5 burning seeds.
The raid portal that lets you conveniently teleport from the start of the raid to Majordomo Staghelm is where the seeds are lying on ground.

There is about 6-7 that spawn near the portal/directly underneath it.

If you are me, you probably will spend 10 minutes wondering why you can't pick it up to realize that the rocks in the same area are the same size, and look somewhat alike.

EDIT: forgot to say, any level can pick these up, so if you've got a bank alt that you've leveled for catform, you can have a friend share lockout and let you grab these :)

As of patch 6.2 the Burning Seeds are still in the game even thou blizz did make a druid only toy. I have tested and can confirm that You can fly over to Staghelms portal via starting the Alysrazor and flying over there after collecting 3 feathers . On 10m normal it took 10 mins for the boss to reset while over at Staghelms portal , 25m Heroic I didn't wait for reset and just killed myself after looting 5 Burning Seeds.

This is a great way to have the look until you've obtained the toy. Since it's druid only toy the drop rate should be increased.

btw this is sort of cheating so I don't claim that there are no repercussions to doing it this way.

These seeds respawn whether you've cleared Firelands or not. I "farm" them once in awhile so I can stay fire kitty while the seed pouch doesn't drop for me. ㅠ_ㅠ

They respawn maybe at least 30 minutes later. I pick up 5 in Normal, mail that stack to my alt, and then re-enter in Heroic to pick up another 5.

Non-druids cannot loot the seeds. Makes me suspect that the seed pouch won't drop for a non-Druid solo killing Majordomo.
