Given 2.3 changes with Water Shield, it is safe to say 6mp5 is something we can lose. The small changes in mana and health pools is also safe to discard as an important factor.

Really, we are comparing the loss of around 1.4% Spell Crit Chance and 11 damage/healing in favor of 2% spell haste.

Some facts before I make my personal judgement call:

-When Bloodlusted (40 seconds long once every 10 minutes maximum...other Shaman Bloodlusts usually go to the melee group) we reach the 1.50 second LB cast time cap (where GCD = LB cast time) with only 3% spell haste

-2.3 will make our Spell Critical chance with Lightning cap at 50% due to the change to Elemental Focus (more than 50% Lightning Crit chance will actually make the new EF a huge nerf instead of a buff).

-2.3's Chaotic Skyfire Diamond requires EXACTLY two Blue gems, meaning we cannot have less or more than two blue sockets in our gear.

Overall I think these shoulders are JUST THE SAME as T5, but you should use either one depending on what your situation is.

Personally, I will be getting these because I have a third Blue gem socket from my T5 shoulders and my helm and leggings and their 2.3 upgrades also have one Blue socket each. Furthermore, I may start stacking more spell haste over spell crit despite how much Bloodlust offers because it is only a short period of time when I actually make use of Bloodlust for it to hurt me more than help me - I do it for my party instead of myself anyway. I have around 43 to 45% buffed Spell Crit as is, and it is hard to not see EF proc once every two to three casts. Lack of +damage is limiting me more than anything, and +haste adds solid DPS without affecting LB damage per cast.

Also, I like the Zul'Aman Shaman set look :P

But my two cents are:
-Depending on the above factors, these may in fact be better for you than T5 - they are already very comparable in stats, except socket bonuses for your ideal metagem and spell haste stacking over spell crit stacking with the new EF changes will be factors to consider when you make your decision.

If you happen to be a troll shaman, forget about getting any spellhaste gear. Bloodlust+ Berserk will put you under the Global CD already.

~~For people interested in transmog:~~ The stuff below was written before the transmog page existed. Just see the transmog link at the top of the page now :)

While not an official "set" these form part of the "Zul'Aman Red" mail set (derived from the texture names in the database). Pieces (including much overlap) are available from both G'eras in Shattrath and from the new ZA/ZG instances. Unfortunately the headpiece can no longer be obtained from any source and is missing from the game. Both a kilt and leggings are available, depending on your taste.

The full set (including missing helm) looks like this. The full list of matching items are:

There is also a purple version of this set, available in the new ZA/ZG instances. Only the boots seem to be missing:

Head: 无眠灵魂面具 (达卡拉, 祖阿曼)
