One of the old mounts that were 100% speed but without armor, it was removed by Blizzard and players were given the option to exchange their non-armored 100% mount for a armored one.

Changed from 'White Mechanostrider Mod A' to 'White Mechanostrider Mod B' in patch 3.0... I have no idea why.

Originally, the little black fin on the mech's head was only visible from one side. In other words, it was 'see-through' from one side and opaque black from the other. This was changed at some point, I believe some time after burning crusade was released.

High Tinker Mekkatorque uses this mount (same colour) when he rides out of Tinkertown during Brewfest event.

This is out of date as of all of the other mounts that came out before patch 3.2, it now requires level 40 and normal mounts require level 20.

The White Mechanostrider Mod B was one of the original mounts which were removed with patch 1.4 and are no longer obtainable in the game.
Players who had one of these mounts received the 古典坐骑 achievement.

Alliance Mounts:
Dwarf - 黑山羊, 霜山羊
Gnome - 冰蓝色机械陆行鸟A型, 白色机械陆行鸟B型
Human - 褐色马缰绳, 白马缰绳
Night Elf - 上古霜刃豹缰绳, 夜刃豹缰绳

The Models that was on display at Steelgrill's Depot have been removed from the game. As so the old quest to turn them in for the upgraded version has been removed from the NPC. Same for The Icy Blue Mechanostrider Mod A.You can't even view them in the mount collection tab in game unless you have them collected.

This is one of the unobtainable mounts which still shows as uncollected on the official WoW armory.
