Demon Hunters are a newly playable class to be released in the upcoming expansion pack, Legion.

This is a hero class, and will start at level 98. By the end of the starting experiences, the player should be level 100 and prepared to jump into Legion.
As with the 死亡骑士 class, 恶魔猎手 will be limited to one per server at launch. They may eventually have that restriction lifted, as Death Knights did, but that would be well into the future.
Also as with 死亡骑士s, there is a requirement of having a character of a certain level before a Demon Hunter can be made on the account/server. This requirement is currently set at level 70.

These playable 恶魔猎手s are the Illidari who players fought in 黑暗神殿 and were imprisoned after the fall of their leader, 伊利丹·怒风, Azeroth's first Demon Hunter..
Only the 暗夜精灵 and 血精灵 races can currently be Demon Hunters, since the playable Demon Hunters are those who were imprisoned after the assault on 黑暗神殿.
恶魔猎手s begin with the title .

恶魔猎手s will be available for play before the expansion hits, if you've pre-ordered (a digital copy).

The date for this availability is ~~currently unknown~~, and it will occur after the release of the pre-expansion-patch (typically occurs 2-6 weeks before the release of an expansion), and in conjunction with the release of the Invasions and Broken Shore Scenario.

Demon Hunters start with:

four 20 slot bags. (Currently 魔皮背包)
ilvl 138 660 gear (伊利达雷护肩/伊利达雷护肩) and
ilvl 138 665 ~~690~~ glaives 伊利达雷斩杀者 (伊利达雷战刃 & 伊利达雷战刃).*

Over the course of the starting experience zones, upgrade:

one bag upgrade 邪恶魔犬皮包 (part of the blink and you'll miss it UGs)
their gear to 138 680+ (裂魔肩刃/裂魔肩刃) and
their weapons to 139 685 ~~720~~ ~~740~~ (邪能灌注 (邪蚀战刃 & 邪蚀战刃)).*

The starting gear sets are in more of a silver metal for 暗夜精灵 race and more of a golden tone for 血精灵 race, hence the linking of two pair of shoulders for each tier of starting armor.

The 恶魔猎手 starting experience is a multi-pronged one.

The first leg of it happens many years in the past, on 破碎深渊马顿, before/during the attack on 黑暗神殿.
The rest occurs after many years of imprisonment in the 守望者地窟/守望者地窟.

Demon Hunters currently have the class mount, the Felsaber.
The Felsaber is obtained during the starting experience on 破碎深渊马顿.
No word yet on what happened to the Demonsaber mount.

Demon Hunters can heal themselves with the 灵魂残片 they rip from their enemies, either by running through or close to the 灵魂残片, as you would with a Monk's Healing orbs, or by using certain abilities.

The Demon Hunter class Order Hall is a place you encounter during your starting experience.

Demon Hunters use agility and, along with 潜行者s, 德鲁伊s, and 武僧s, wear 皮甲 armor.

Demon Hunters can 二段跳 allowing them to jump again while already in the air from the first jump, and they can 滑翔 to spread their wings and reduce falling speed.

Unlike the rest of the classes currently in game, Demon Hunters have only two specs, Havoc, a melee dps spec, and Vengeance, a tanking spec.

Demon Hunters can wield: (武器技能)

战刃 (like 伊利丹·怒风's Warglaives of Azzinoth, and a few other glaive model types),
匕首 (oddly no longer the case),
拳套,
单手剑, and
单手斧.

Whilst Demon Hunters can use a wide variety of weapon types, 战刃 can only be Transmogrified into 战刃, 单手剑, and 单手斧.

Both specs dual wield weapons, and the Artifact weapons for them in Legion are sets of Glaives. You can read the overviews on these weapons, with limited backstory, on the blog on the wow site.

Havoc – (欺诈者的双刃/欺诈者的双刃)- "These glaives of immense power cut through all that would stand in the Demon Hunter’s way."

The Hidden Artifact Weapon Skin for Havoc is 死亡行者的伪装 from 毁灭蝠.
The Challenging Artifact Weapon Skin for Havoc is Flamereaper, obtained from 闭上眼睛 from the Mage Tower on the 破碎海滩.

Vengeance –Aldrachi Warblades (奥达奇战刃/奥达奇战刃) - "Infused with the might and incredible resilience of a lost people."

The Hidden Artifact Weapon Skin for Vengeance is 钢铁卫士壁垒 from the bosses found in the area unlocked by 扭曲虚空.

Warglaive Transmog Options:
While 战刃 can be Transmogrified into 战刃, 单手剑, and 单手斧, you might only be interested in 战刃 transmogrification options.

their purple and red variants,
and the red glaives used by some Illidari and by 伊利丹·怒风 in 永恒之井 would be nice additions.

As a minor spoiler during the starting zone, if you die or allow yourself to be sacrificed to open one of the gatways, you discover that your character, much like Illidan, has a demonic soul which cannot be destroyed by normal weapons or magic.

So enjoy that, I guess, you not only get to hunt demons, but become a demon yourself. Whatever moral or philosophical issues arise from this are up to you to deal with.

I see this , and i know we arent going to be able to mog it. But they should give us this option as a Demon Hunter to take this appearance with different color options for the Artifact weapons for the Demon Hunter. Considering this and or the Warglaive of Azzinoth is a Demon Hunter dream mog weapon at least, if not being an appearance for the Artifact weapon. Share this if you agree! We should be able to use this as a appearance for the Demon Hunter Artifact weapon, using the magic to make an illusion of it taking the form of Illidan's Warglaives. :DDD It would be so damn awesome!

based on what blizzard pronounced , and based on what we expected from the game since 2007, we can discuss this in 3 ways:

RP: 1.the Demon Hunter Class is something that the game should have provided a long time ago , back when the sparks of TBC was in the news and we wanted a taste of what was and will be our life time Dream, but late is better than never i guess, although i really despise the fact that Blizzard is going through a contagious plague, we've seen earlier in most popular long Run games, which is : Digging up the Dead ! the Blizzard started this thing with WOD, to presumeably save WOW from a severe extinction after the the release of expansion 5.0.0 . and the Fact that they decided to Dig up Illidan's grave and bring him back because they need a paragon for their new class ( which in Lore, is more ancient than any other class) , is vexing me Greatly, but then, Illidan is actually an Eternal Character, from whose shadows (Along with banshee queen and Lich king) Blizzard has been Risen from the Humble begginings to the Crown Jewel of all MMORPG . so even if they digged him up like Grom Hellscream, the character's popularity is overshadowing the sad fact !
2.the other fact is the Rise of the WARDEN, along with her prisoner Illidan, Maiev Shadowsong whose name is very well known to WC3 Frozen throne & TBC lovers, is a Welcome Sight in the new Expansion's Release, which begs the question: Are we gonna see her carrying out her old resentment towards the betrayer, or will they form some sort of truth and work towards a commong goal?
3.the last RP fact which i would like to mention, is the disappointing Arrival of the Artifact Weapons, which litterally ( in a RP wise way) outclasses and outdates all of the Old vanilla, until WOLTK , legendaries and artifacts to which' stories we held on for a long long time, think of them as the crown jewel of the story's beauty and grace, something that would never happen again and it was something that you either bear witness to or you would miss forever ! . these artifact weapons make those old RP items which we held on to with our lives ( literally) completely absolete , because those weapons had only a HINT of what we wanted to be and yet that was the very thing that encouraged us to go further and find better artifacts to represent our RP characteristic in the game. but the arrival of these artifacts make the Characteristic Figure of the RP gamers completely absolete and more importantly respresenting some sort of a personality with the weapons and artifacts you gathered and you have on you , is now open season for all, because hey : i have this artifact weapon which i had by just starting a quest which i didnt even understand what it was about, and yet i have a cool artifact which far outclasses your old and foolish vanilla legendary weapons and armor, you're Such an idiot RP player ! and there it goes, with the release of the Legion expansion, you can say all the work you've done to respresent some sort of a character of a race or a cult or anything, all the time you spent to gather those legendaries will be all for nothing, because some newbie, who spent daddy's dollars to boost to lvl 110 , can complete a quest and get an artifact which worth more than all of those years of hard work of yours for getting one legendary item to represent a personality you have longed for !

PVP: i can say that the game is going to a real fall out PVP wise, since the coming of the stupid expansion 5.0.0 , the talents system was completely destroyed and the creativity and skill that we spent to get the right abilities and talents for that small windows of advantage over the guys who had a lets say unfitting talent tree, was completely GONE... forever gone out of the game the only way that the pvp could have been a little more exciting and not just copycat-ing and clone-ing each other's talents ! and we expected them to come to an understanding that this new pvp system sucks ; but instead they came up with this AWESOME NEW IDEA TO DESTROY PVP SYSTEM FOREVER, by making a PVP TALENT TREE, which begs the player to just go Clone Himself/herself, of some guy with better ilvl, and kick the Creativity out of their system completely!

PVE: the fact that they mentioned their disservice to the dungeons was a real bit of relief for me personally, it means we are gonna soon see a new system of dungeons which would make them more than just a ONE TIME THING BEFORE I GET BETTER ITEMS FROM THAT RAID ; which begs the question : Are we gonna see dungeons hard enough to be in need of a guide or real-time strategy to overcome, or was that talk of disservice towards dungeons only about making a more beautiful site out of dungeons or cooler costumes for mobs and monsters? I SURE HOPE THEY MAKE A REAL DIFFRENCE ABOUT THE DIFFCULTY OF THE DUNGEONS AND RARER ITEMS RATHER THAN MAKING JUST FANCIER DUNGOENS WITH MORE DOLLS AND TOYS INSIDE!

We were not prepared.

I am kinda sad though, that we wont be able to use our wings as a class-exclusive mount. I was hoping that demon hunters would be able to use their wings to actually fly, similarly to the druid's flight form, but alas, no such luck. Closest equivalent we are getting is gliding down, which is nowhere near as awesome.

I can always hope they change their minds eventually.

Demon Hunters are now immune to Blind. We’re not sure how it was working before. They’re wearing blindfolds, for pete’s sake.

IMO there are 2 big problems or mistakes blizzard is making in here.

1) It's rather silly or stupid to make DHs use leather since there are already 3 classes that use leather (as well as 3 for plate and 3 for cloth), which is gonna be 4 now with DHs, while there are only 2 mail wearing classes. Seems to me that making DHs mail wearers would be more logical and fair. This could potentially cause imbalance in drops and raid set ups.

2) I thinks it's heavily unfair for all the classes so far that DHs are gonna have only 2 playable specs. First it's gonna be too easy (simple) for DHs, and totally unfair towards everybody else. Just ask any druid or paladin how they feel when they have 3 specs they like, but only 2 slots for dual spec.

OK, I've played Garrisons way too long. Used to having garrison hearthstone and also one for an inn of your choice. So I have my Demon Hunter hearthstone for Mardum. So when I get to Stormwind I get a hearthstone for an inn in Stormwind. OOPS!. Now no hearthstone for Mardum. No way I know of to get back to Mardum, but not sure I will ever need to. Does anyone know? Your most recent greenhorn on the block with 4 level 100 characters with garrisons.

is there some kind of friendly fire bug with demon hunters right now? i can't for the life of me figure out how a night elf killed me, a worgen, while standing around goldshire/lions pride inn. screenshot attached....

*edit: k not sure if the screenshot can be attached but what killed me was Immolation Aura as soon as i walked into the inn where they were spamming it.

edit #2: ok well maybe it's not just demon hunters... idk what's going on but i just got killed by a worgen hunter while idling in goldshire.

Demon Hunters start off at level 98; unlocking the option to create one requires an existing level 70 character on that server.

Sadly this does not cross connected realms, so one character have to be level 70 per realm - which kind of sucks if you your plan was to create a Demon Hunter of a cross realm because you've maxed your current realm with other characters.

Has anyone else noticed that demon hunters can't customise the colour of their tattoos all of a sudden? For some reason I can't anymore, and it's really upsetting :\

Makes me wonder why blizzard took so much effort to hide the combat sounds (for fel rush and all the screams). So far no addon or former sound folder is capable of muting only those. Leave it to blizzard to ruin everything awesome with some aweful side features attached.
