Having the set does not change anything about the appearance of the armor. As it says "It will bestow you with an evil aura". It has no aura or glow. It only shows the armor.

These are probably going to be a lot more popular with the Cataclysm, seeing as the Twilight's Hammer is one of the major enemies. I would imagine it might be quite interesting on an RP realm, too...

NOTE: This item/usage is no longer valid post-Cataclysm. It is supposedly safe to disenchant, sell, or toss the required items (per two different in-game GMs, though a third did say maybe there will be use for them but he wasn't certain AT ALL of this). The garments used ARE still dropping in the game as of this time, but would be a waste to hold them unless completing a fancy set for your toons. Good luck!

They were originally used specifically for the various Silithus quest chains to create various elemental scepters/crests/signets, which had required randomly annoying drop items 暮光信徒披肩, 暮光信徒长袍, and 暮光信徒兜帽 along with the 暮光信徒身份勋章/暮光贵族之戒 to summon various quest-only elemental Templar/lords (no longer in the game or this site), often leading to another summoning quest or chain elsewhere. The main quest items stemming from dropped 被破译的《真正的信徒》剪报.

The entire set of Silithus quest chains were all broken when Blizzard rushed the development of the Cataclysm expansion without deciding on how to renovate the Silithus zone to match changes in Cata (hence many of the basic quests here are still from pre-WotLK coding), to include the 安其拉. Instead they focused on the new story lines in the graphically-sweet Cata zones and how to change the raid system cross-server.

As of patch 4.3: To reply to the below posts, yes those are pretty much the two main grinds now, though some of the basic quests in Silithus ARE now back and working, but many still do not have complete questlines restored, and the best bet is to continue on into the AQ raids for rep. There ARE many quests within each of the AQ dungeons/raids but they are mostly tied to Brood of Nozdormu reputation.

The robes (and their equivalent shoulders and cowl) unfortunately cannot be used for transmogrification.

A bit of info on related artwork and robes...

This robe uses the ornate magenta and dark (officially "Twilight's Hammer") variant of the "Horde A3 Robe" artwork.

Kurasu above has already linked the shoulders and belt that use the same artwork. In fact this is the only colour variant of the artwork that seems to have shoulder art.

The artwork set also has art for bracers and boots (but not for helm or gloves), but I can't find any available in the game.

There are five basic colours and four other "ornate" colours of this set in the artwork database. But only two basic colours and no other ornate colours are available in the game. See:

Dark brown (officially "Dark"): 蓟皮长袍
Tan-brown (officially "Brown"): 弹力长袍 and 异教徒长袍
There are three basic colours which are unavailable: Green, Purple and blue (officially "White")
There are four "ornate" colours which are unavailable: orange and brown (officially "Argus Wake") can be seen on 暗影大法师; purple and dark (officially "Dark Strand") used to be worn by a bunch of NPCs, including 暗滩精兵; red and brown (officially "Shadow Council") used to be available on 虚灵长袍 (removed from the game); silver-grey (officially "White Wake") is a beautiful version of the Argus Wake robe, but in grey with silver scrollwork

Bingo, lets you talk to the stone without geting hit.. just make sure you have a decent group cause the stone summons a 60 elite rock elemental that kicked my ass solo

Believe it or not... you cannot disenchant it anymore... oh yes! It was a moneymaker - 160G in two days - about 8h of farming...

oh yes - I really hate that Blizzard changed that now that I was sooo close in getting money for my epic mount.

I was actually farming when they changed it... all of a sudden I was not able to disenchant anymore. I got some dust and esseces and even a yellow shard before. Then *blup* - no disenchanting anymore...

Why why why?

I understand there are 3 pieces in this set: head, shoulders and chest.
I dont understand how you use them. You summone an elemental. Why is this? For a quest, in that case, which quest. For reputation? Or just for fun and drops?
Do you summone different elementals if you are using different pieces? And the strongest elemental if you use all 3 pieces? Do you summone from the same stones always?
And do you need something more,i saw someone mentioned a ring or a necklass?
Do you end the ability to summone when you have used the piece once? Is this the reason why it drops so often? Then you just sell the piece to a vender?
Could please someone who knows all this put up a little guide. I can't find out of it.

AHHHH! Ive been here for like 2 hours, Ive got 7 hoods and 9 shoulders, and not a SINGLE set of robes. LAME! It is about a 20% drop rate though, but to ME it seems like you get EITHER the shoulders, head, or robe for that 20%, and i have TERRIBLE luck.

I would complain more, buuut it wouldnt get me the stupid robes.

Ok, in Silithus there are Wind stones in the Twilight Camps, well, if you talk to them you get struck by lightning that roughly takes out half of your life. If you are wearing all 3 of these items, you can talk to the wind stones and summon up a random elemental that drops Abyssal Crests, which you can repeatedly turn in for rep.

Anyone notice that these items don't become soulbound after equiping? Very strange for a green item. Guess it's only fair since they kinda suck and cant be disenchanted.

I've just killed 4 elementals and haven't lost a single one?

Did they nerf it so you have only to obtain one set since the drop rate was aggravating?

Or did the recent 97 second lag blow a fuse at Blizzard? ;b

I kept getting zapped too, so I tried taking off all my other equips so that I was *just* wearing the twilight cultist stuff, and that worked, let me summon at the stone.

As of 2.0 the Twilight Cultist set is bugged. If you try to put the set on and touch a lesser wind stone, you get zapped instead.

Some people report being able to use the wind stones after logging out and back in while wearing the set but this did not work for me.

I submitted a ticket to the GM's and was told by GM Verrta that these items were not supposed to be able to be Disenchanted. They have made it so that the Twilight set cannot be DE'd and it's now working as intended.

Do not farm for these or get them off AH if you want to DE them. It no longer works.

If you wear the full set you can use the Lesser Windstones to summon Templars. This destroys the three items of the set.

Here is how the summons at Silithus windstones work:

The summon has 2 properties: A) Difficulty and B) Elemental Type.

A) Windstone type dictates difficulty of the summon (easy to hard: Templar => Duke => Royal).

You need a full 暮光套装 set to summon a templar at a lesser windstone.
You need a full 暮光套装 set + 暮光信徒身份勋章 to summon a duke at a windstone.
You need a full 暮光套装 set + 暮光信徒身份勋章 + 暮光贵族之戒 to summon a royal at a greater windstone.

B) Crest/Signet/Scepter remove randomness of elemental type of the summon (Air, Earth, Fire, Water). Type of element after crest/signet/scepter controls elemental type of the summon. Without crest/signet/scepter, elemental type of the summon will be random.

Type of item is linked to difficulty level of the summon.

Crest controls => Summon Templar from a lesser windstone in Silithus
Signet controls => Summon Duke from a windstone in Silithus
Scepter controls => Summon Royal from a greater windstone in Silithus

Here is the list of all possible summons and items needed to summon:

TEMPLARS (recommended: 2 man)
Full 暮光套装 set at lesser windstone = Random templar
Full 暮光套装 set along with 召唤纹章：雷 at lesser windstone = 苍白圣殿骑士
Full 暮光套装 set along with 召唤纹章：石 at lesser windstone = 土色圣殿骑士
Full 暮光套装 set along with 召唤纹章：火 at lesser windstone = 赤红圣殿骑士
Full 暮光套装 set along with 召唤纹章：水 at lesser windstone = 碧蓝圣殿骑士

DUKES (recommended: 5 man)
Full 暮光套装 set + 暮光信徒身份勋章 at windstone = Random duke
Full 暮光套装 set + 暮光信徒身份勋章 along with 召唤徽记：雷 at windstone = 微风公爵
Full 暮光套装 set + 暮光信徒身份勋章 along with 召唤徽记：石 at windstone = 碎石公爵

Remember that you lose the summoning materials if you fail to kill the summon.
