When you go to summon on the lesser air stone in the twilight bases, an option will appear which will allow you to use this crest, using this crest will force a the fire version of this boss to appear. Wether this works on the other air stones is unknown, havent been able to test it

I got this in the mail (or the scroll that makes it), used it once and it disappeared :( Im also looking for better ways to farm the dagger...

Sorry, but you still need the Mantle, Robe and Cowl as well as this crest of summoning, all this does is guarantee which abyssal templar will appear, rather than the random one you get when you just use Twilight Trappings on thier own

The Twilight dudes in Silithus drops a green cloth set consisting of 3 items. Put these on, go to a lesser windstone and activate it and you summon a lvl 60 elite elemental.
These crests of beckoning makes sure that you don't get a random elemental, which you do if you don't have this.

where and how do you get these crests? I saw that there is a quest aparently to get a receipe to make them but no details. Anyone know the specifics?

Firstly you must complete the twilight mystery questline which starts in cenerion hold.

You must then turn in 10 texts (repeatable) to the hermit.

He will said you a bag in the mail containing "random" scrolls for either crests or signets of beckoning.

The scrolls riqure other items ie: rugged leather, dark runes to complete.

Once you have done this the CREST scroll when in your inventory will bring up another option to summon the particular elemental Ie: Summon crimson, aure blah blah.

Note these items are not soul bound or anything so could be past around for character to character sold at the ah

I just tested the "Crest of Beckoning: Fire" on a windstone, you get the option to summon The Duke of Cynders, so I guess the Crest of Beckoning work on all windstones summoning the element they represent...

Therefore
Having the "Crest of Beckoning: Fire" on inventory and with the 4 Twilight set equiped, clicking on a windstone will give you the option to summon The Duke of Cynders.

The Duke of Cynders drop Cinder of Cynders wich is needed for the tier 0.5 quest

Signet of Beckoning: <Element> will summon a Duke of a specific element when in your inventory and you are wearing the Cowl, Robe, and Mantle at a Windstone.

Crest of Beckoning: <Element> will summon a Templar of a specific element when in your inventory and you are wearing the Cowl, Robe, and mantle at a Lesser Windstone.

You obtain Scrolls by turning in 10 Twilight Text to the Hermit (after completing the quest for him) and turning them into Encoded Twilight Text. Later, in the mail you'll find the Scrolls which can be used with other items to create Crests, Signets, etc.

If you dont get what the people here are saying it's that sometimes the guy in the cave will give you a scroll that will summon a duke and sometimes you will get a scroll to summon a templer, its 100% chance on what you will get....just like a drop off a mob in the game.

Dont these guarantee the regular Wind Stone Bosses (not the lesser ones or the greater ones, the regular Wind Stones that is) also?

as for Crest of beckoning: Fire, how do i use it?

Use this with the normal cowl, mantle and robe and it guarantees you will get a Fire elemental vs a random elemental.

That's all I've see it's good for so far. Just making sure you get a crimson vs the others.

There will be another option on the lesser windstone to "chat" with the crimson elemental vs the generic bubble (which is always there).

These things only work for lesser windstones. We were trying to summon a duke of cynders for a guildy's tier .5 quest. I was the only one with the rep so I had the necklace, cowl, robe, mantle and a crest of beckoning: fire. I touched the "Wind Stone" and it only gave 1 white dot option.

It ended up popping the duke of fathoms. So, we had to do a lesser wind stone to get more crests and when I touched it this time, it gave 2 white dot options. The normal summon option and a second mentioning that I had a beckoning crest.

Summary: only works for lesser wind stones

Here is how the summons at Silithus windstones work:

The summon has 2 properties: A) Difficulty and B) Elemental Type.

A) Windstone type dictates difficulty of the summon (easy to hard: Templar => Duke => Royal).

You need a full 暮光套装 set to summon a templar at a lesser windstone.
You need a full 暮光套装 set + 暮光信徒身份勋章 to summon a duke at a windstone.
You need a full 暮光套装 set + 暮光信徒身份勋章 + 暮光贵族之戒 to summon a royal at a greater windstone.

B) Crest/Signet/Scepter remove randomness of elemental type of the summon (Air, Earth, Fire, Water). Type of element after crest/signet/scepter controls elemental type of the summon. Without crest/signet/scepter, elemental type of the summon will be random.

Type of item is linked to difficulty level of the summon.

Crest controls => Summon Templar from a lesser windstone in Silithus
Signet controls => Summon Duke from a windstone in Silithus
Scepter controls => Summon Royal from a greater windstone in Silithus

Here is the list of all possible summons and items needed to summon:

TEMPLARS (recommended: 2 man)
Full 暮光套装 set at lesser windstone = Random templar
