This guy can be killed by a rogue and a druid on a stealth run. Be sure to pay attention because he hits hard.

He drops Flightblade Throwing Axe, which now has durability and can be used infinitely since patch 2.0. This is the best thrown weapon in azeroth atm.

This guy is in a room by himself on the lower part of LBRS, not all groups try to down him since he is somewhat out of the way. It is possible, however, to have a party of a druid and some rogues to down him, and given that he drops some nice rogue gear, I'd recommend trying. That is also a good alternative if you are needing the gem off of him -- only took 8 quick runs to get our entire group their gems, which was really only 2 hours or so (same amount of time it would have taken to finish the instance once in a regular group)

Just did seven back-to-back runs. Got the throwing axes every time, and the bracers five times. Not a single $%^#$%^#% gemstone. Sigh.

Lots of red santa hats for the season, though. :-)

Immune to stuns, disorients such as sap/gouge/blind and generally a badass.
He's got lots of different special skills such as kick and uppercut which hit for about 500 damage. He also has a throw axe skill which hits for about 1700 damage.

Solod as a 70 fury warrior (for fun of course) :P. Used Death Wish, recklessness, and had to use commanding shout at the end so I wouldn't die (I don't have Last Stand). In the end, I had about 4% of my health left.

Soloed by a 69 feral Druid today. He does hit hard, but he's not that much of an issue. Used regrowth proactively before the fight, lacerate, FFF, demoralizing roar continuously. I was at 53% health when he went down. Sadly... no gem dropped.

Soloed by a 70 fire mage.
Had 9103 health, 10091 mana, 867 spelldmg and 33.77% crit.
Kept Mana Shield up and survived about 1k health and 500 mana, with the use of a Super Health Potion and a Mana Emerald.
His throwing axe skill hurts alot...

Soloed by a Kara geared 61-resto druid. (Beaststalker gloves for my alt on the first kill. :3) Took almost ten minutes, but moonfire, rejuvenation, lifebloom, and about 10 mace skillups wore him down.

very easy for a feral druid (level 70 full epic kara/badge gear mostly) in dps gear in kitty form, just pound on him like a normal mob

his throwing strike hits for a flat 1750 damage and cannot miss/be dodged etc (has never done in about 15 fights so i assume its not possible)

I've been trying to keep up with the drop rates. Can anyone confirm that Voone still drops the Winter Hat in 2008 even if a low %? Or is it straight up only available as an uber rare outside of instance drop and only in Northrend Dungeons now? As someone stuck soloing this seemed like the easiest way to try and get one as a Fury Warrior.

I was completing quests in LBRS for Loremaster, and this fool still hits (relatively) hard, even on an 80.

Waste of time and effort.
PT of 4x took him down; but a total waste. He hits extremely hard and at speed of Monks.
Be ready to spam potions like no tomorrow, and heal as if it were going out of style.
Paladin 60; getting hit for 400-700, 800-1000+ CRIT.

Ive found that its really easy to get to warmaster voone as a Night elf hunter.... Each of his drops disenchant into a Large Brilliant shard. He can be killed 2 or 3 times in an hour with a group of 5. 3 rogues 1 druid and a crafty hunter.

I've killed voone in 10 man raid over 20 times and only seen the gloves once.

I've been trying to solo kite him for about a day. Got him to 1% one try, then I fell off the bridge at low health and died.

If anyone wants to make some serious gold, just farm the gloves with some friends. They are BOE and go for 150g+ on my server. Happy farming!

Soloed him 4 times and finally finished ubrs key just to clear out the space in the bank.
Just go slow with dots and dont draw aggro.
voidy really can tank at lvl 70 (they changed something for the better- used to be only hunter pets could seriously take bosses.) Any soul shatter halfway thru and back off a bit healing like crazy.

If hes almost dead you can sac voidy and blast away but you dont need to.

Getting there is doable but challenging- you can walk in most of the way but the dog near the bridge causes some trouble. take it out with soul stone up and hope for the best. I was successful getting all 4 elites and 2 dogs once out of like 4 tries. Careful with runners... and seed of corr will aggro other nearby groups lol.

Soloable as a Disc/Holy priest.

Kite him out of his room to the ramps. Keep a SW: Pain on him and run up the broken ramp. Jump down when he's about to reach the top and he'll have to path all the way back down to reach you. Keep out of his range and keep dropping SW: Death on him to make sure he doesn't de-aggro. Took lots of practice to get it right, all you have to do is never stop running.

Easily solo'd as a demo lock.

Also, the groups leading up to him easily taken with a seed of corruption spam.. If you get adds just have your VW/felguard (whatever your using) quickly grab the adds, heal your pet if need-be. Then repeat the SoC spam!

This was a rough solo as a rogue, I went in there the first time to find out he wasn't stunnable, and with the opening blown on a cheap shot, he handed me my arse on a silver platter. His throw axe ability knocks you down, and hits for 1750, even at 70. I ended up getting him on round 2, I needed to pop a major healing potion. I ran blade flurry, adrenaline rush, and evasion at the same time. Fight lasted 29.4 seconds and I had 1012 dps for that duration.

Soloed on a 70 combat rogue. His axethrow hits for about 1k. Unbuffed health around 7.3k. Popped evasion and loaded up on attack power. Also used a nightmare vine seed to add 2k health. Got him down to 1% when I was at about 700 health, vanished, hit garrote before his health could get back up and brought him down. Definitely the hardest of the 3 to solo.

Was a bit worried at first after reading about how hard he hits, but as a 70 shadow priest (+914shadow dmg), this guy is a cakewalk ;) I followed flycatcher's guide (fantastic by the way) to get right to him and finished the fight with about 80% health. Sent in shadowfiend first and let him do his thing while i dotted him and shielded.. the rest was just nuke nuke nuke. He does have a few interrupts, but nothing to worry about.. good luck!

I've managed to solo War Master Voone as a level 68 warrior.

Success on my first try - it was a very hard fight though. I was not familiar with blackrock spire since I've never been there before with a group, just driven by curiosity, popped in a few times alone after lvl 60, and the other day I stumbled upon this guy.

Although my spec is arms, I switched to sword and shield - he seemed to be a melee fighter, so I thought I probably would need the additional armor bonus a shield can provide. A good choice, it was.

I used a dense sharpening stone and bloodrage->battleshout then waited till I got to full health.

I charged him, switched immediately to defensive stance, used demoralizing shout, thunder clap, and had him disarmed. I popped a healing potion early in the fight, thinking that way I probably can pop one again because it seemed to be a very long battle. The fight was quite equal, till he suddenly hit me for some 1500 damage. Then I was losing so i prepared for a quick bandage. It went wrong unfortunately, my sporeggar reputation reward shield's DoT broke the intimidating shout, and my healing potions were still on cooldown. I popped shield wall in the middle of the fight so the rest was a matter of luck. Once execute got active and i gathered some additional rage, I switched to my two-hander and won the fight in three or two swings, and with a bit less then 200 hit points... But anyway, it was quite much fun.

He dropped a throwing weapon and some cloth boots, along with Gemstone of smolderthorn. When I vendored the blue stuff, it was a bit disappointing that the throwing weapon worth less then a gold. The vendor bought the boots for some 1 - 1,5 gold. It did worth it only for the fight though.

Yes he can be taken with 5man group. I loved to stealth run Omokk, then Somlderweb Spidy, then Voone and finally Vosh with 3 rogues and 2 druids for UBRS key gems, WH gear, and SC gear. TIP: do not attempt to stealth to him completely, this is very hard. A better strat is to stealth to the outside of his room and clear your way in - the ogre groups shouldnt be too hard with imp sap.

I just came from a 10-man LBRS run, I was intent on doing this guy first and then going to Overlord Wyrmthalak, but was promised we'd go back to him.
Of course, that didn't happen, and 6 of the 10 people left as soon as we killed the Overlord... leaving 4 of us: a pally, hunter (me), warrior and feral druid.

Well, we manage to reach the tiny subrooms before this guy when the paladin needed to leave, so to tackle the last couple of enemies and War Master Voone, we had a feral druid healing (he was all in greens) then a warrior and myself. Of course, by now I was convinced they would drop - hey, perserverence pays off, doesn't it?

Well, they did! So ha, for once, I was lucky!

Anyone know if the patch has caused the gem to not drop? I, a 60 druid, have duoed Voone with a 60 hunter about 12 times now with no gem drop. Ironically no BS gloves either.

Solo'd this guy with my 65 Druid, decked out in greens, no pots. He wouldn't be too hard if he didn't resist every type of stun in my book.

The Dungeon Set 2 also called Tier 0.5 is aquired through a fairly lengthy, somewhat difficult and expensive quest chain through which you upgrade Dungeon Set 1 pieces.
After completing 向伯德雷回复 which is one part of the chain, you will recieve 符咒火盆用户手册 and 符咒火盆.
