This was last boss for my trinket, also I'd say most tricky one as well;
Have all melee on the boss all the time; druids, hunters and mages should create macro:
/target Nightmare
/cast Moonfire/Multishot/Fire Blast
At beggining of fight put all locks and one hunter on mana drain, when he's on low mana, ask one warlock and hunter to keep draining, rest DPS. Every now and then he'll do AoE sleep - this also clears aggro from MT for a moment so have offtank far away (so he doesn't get put to sleep) bringing boss back to MT. Also whenever he puts people to sleep, he usually summons 3 big adds, they move very slow and have little HP however they hit for 4-8k; that's where the macro I mentioned comes to use. Sleep doesn't last long so casters should have enough time to get rid of them.
Afaik horde can put totems all around melee, adds should go for totems first giving raid more time to nuke nightmares.

The above strat worked well when my guild just did this booger (aside from the totems).
One little tip: Divine Shield can keep your priest/s from being sleeped and allow them to heal through the nightmares spawning.
As far as we could tell, the nightmares are immune to AoE damage.

Incredably easy to solo as a feral druid - All the adds die after a
Swipe
or two, you'll barely notice them at all :)
As for the boss himself; its just a matter of getting his health down to 0%... He casted Sleep on me twice, which faded within a second because any damage you take removes the effect ^^

One of the coolest fights in the zone, but very hard as well. Hazza'rah has an AOE sleep with an enormous radius, a chain lightning mana drain attack, and the ability to summon 3-5 giant nightmare visions that have very low HP but hit for 4000-8000.

We tried this boss for the first time last night. You MUST take out the adds immediately, but every now and then one gets away from you or the sleep hits just as the mobs spawn and one mob kills 3 ppl.
I was wondering if the sleep is on an exact timer, maybe we can know exactly when he will put us to sleep. This would mean we could get distance since the mobs spawn right next to the boss.
AOE does not work on the adds. Instant cast fire blast kills them every time.

We used this strategy:
Tank and melee fight him just infront of the flame altar (not on the stage) and have caster/ranged as far away as possible.
During the fight he will cast AoE sleep. Seems like everyone in his zone is affected. And he does his AoE sleep then summon his Nightmares. But this is not consistant. I did notice that he would AoE sleep (lasts 3-4 seconds) and then summon his Nightmares after the sleep wore off.
His Nighmares have very little HP.. but hit very hard, around 4-5k damage. if you are a rogue or a cloth wearer, you can be one shotted, so keep ranged as far away as possible. The Nightmares seem to spawn in a square formation around Hazza'rah, so farther away your casters are, the better they will not get 1 shotted. Also, they do move pretty slow.
Multishot WORKS very well. We had 2 hunters in our group and they went down easily. We did have a mage but he didn't try any of his AoE. It might be worth trying AoE of a Mage or Warlock to see how affective it is.
If you are Alliance, one thing to keep note is that Hazza'rah is UNDEAD. Paladin's Exorcism does work on him - but it's a mana drain so keep on eye on mana vs spamming it. I do not know if consecration works or not against the Nightmares. I am guessing not that fast. If you are Horde, drop an Earthbind totem near the Boss and the Nightmares should take longer to get to you, giving you the breather you need to take them down.
Other than this, it's a straight forward fight. I suggest a Tank w/ alot of HP.. he hits pretty hard.

we did a strategy where melee were all on him and everyone else was in a group away from him, max range. By hiumslef hes easy but with the illusions its hard, we had a druid and a hunter on illusion duty with multishot and moonfire because they only have like 500 health.basically do this and keep tank healed. Also when he sleeps he will go to a random person and attack then warrior will need to get hate back, pretty standard fight besides the illusions..GL

Hazza'rah is one of the optional Mojo Madness bosses in Zul'Gurub. He's on a 2-week rotation just like all the other bosses.
Hazza'rah fight is great fun and he drops good loot. One of the better encounters in Zul'Gurub.

The boss is not that hard, as long as you stay away from the ghosts. Tell your Hunters to save up their multishot for when the ghosts come, they should not live long then.
The boss casts a sleep on the whole raid every 20 seconds or so, it then summons very big ghosts. They are not very fast (slightly slower than players), only have around 500 hitpoints, but hit VERY hard. If you make sure everyone stays away from the ghosts, and take them out from range, they aren't hard at all. The boss itself doesn't hit very hard.
The ghosts are immune to AoE, so use normal long range stuff to take them out. If they get close, they pretty much one-shot anything not wearing plate. My priest got hit for 4750 damge by one of them (it cornered me and I could not kill it in time).

Have your nukers make this macro:
/target Nightmare
/cast
As soon as you see his casting animation (looks like Fear Ward on him), just start tapping the macro. You'll target and kill the closest ghost instantly. The fight is still long and not a joke, but you have to get those ghosts out of action IMMEDIATELY or you've had it. We had casters get hit for over 9000 by those things. This macro does the job excellently.
Everything you need to know to win this fight is previously posted above--there's really nothing to add.

Place a shaman at each of the 3 spawn places for the nightmares. You can see a swirl effect on the flood 2 - 3 sec. before they spawn and you can target that effect. As soon as it spawns use earthshock and it's gone. to counter the AoE fear effect place tremor totems, and you wouldn't hardly notice it at all.
This fight is so easy, for horde, it should be placed in RFC /joking

Here is a quick win strategie. Nothing complexe, just plain simple.
- Get 3 mages or more. As soon as the illusion pop-up, FireBlast. We divided the 3 mages in Left/Right/Middle target. Just to say, with that, the illusion has no time to kill anybody. 1 fireblast kill them instant. And we got no resist from them.
And the pack just DPS Hazza.

How does one spawn this boss and where exactly can he be found inside ZG?

To summon this boss and the other three, you'll need a skill level 300 Alchemist to read the sign on the wall behind the altar so they'll then be able to make Gurubashi Mojo Madness.
This is an expensive thing to make as it require massive mojo, powerful mojo, blood of heroes and a black lotus.
Well worth it in the long run, all guilds should be doing this event every time they do ZG as the trinket for each class is very useful.
To the best of my understanding, one boss is "in" The Edge of Madness for two weeks and then you get another. To get the four items in a reasonable amount of time, you'll need the dedication of the guild to help on this.
We've only killed two of them so far and each boss has only dropped one of the required items however, I've read that they can drop more than one but obviously can't confirm it yet, lol.

supposedly these summonable boss's have a two week period before they change to the next boss. my question is does that mean it only reset's every two weeks or can you kill this guy every time zg resets?
And also we found that since he randomly targets people that if we brought out all our pets and target dummies that he would target them too. which means a better chance that were not the ones getting hit. This worked out really well for us

Are fairly important to this fight on the horde side. One earth shock pretty much wipes out the illusion. PLus, the tremor totems DO have a pretty good use here. The pulses from the tremor tots will shorten the sleep times. We tested and routinely saw the sleeps breaking when 3 seconds were still listed on the debuff.

One warlock with felhunter out dispels the sleep on a priest which and quickly dispels the sleep on a few ppl that are near the Nightmares. I haven't tried this, but it might work.

Can you summon this boss several times in one run or does he only reset when instance resets? Just curious about that...

We summoned him one day but he was bugged and could not take him down. Kept resetting at 30% health for no reason.
The next day we came back (Instance had not reset yet) and he was gone. had to resummon him again. Thought that was odd as I thought he would still be there but he must go away after awhile.

This fight is very easy on the horde side, I can't comment on the alliance.
Set up two groups, group one with your main tank and healers, group 2 with your AoE for the illusions. Put a shaman in each of those groups for the totem that gets rid of sleep(forget the name, I'm not a shaman). The basic idea of this, is that you don't want anyone in either of those two groups slept for any long period of time.
Have your main tank up by the brazier for the pull and the rest of the group in a very tight group about 20 yards back from him.
At the start of the fight, shamans drop their totems for purging sleep, and everyone who can mana drain him should to get him down quickly. Once he's fully drained, we keep a hunter and warlock on him to keep him empty. Every 10 seconds or so he spawns the illusions. They will usually go for the totems first so keep them close in front of the gruop, and then have your aoe group hit them. With your entire aoe group hitting them, they go down in about 1-2 seconds and don't hit anyone. When the illusions aren't up, everyone go full dps on Hazz. With the shaman totems down to control the sleep, aoe on the illusions, and no mana on Hazz this fight is very simple and we usually pull it off with no deaths.
One last thing, WotF and some class PvP trinkets will dispel the sleep effect.

Play this like the spider boss. Everybody together. The sleep seems to cause an aggro wipe so have other warriors pull to the MT
Then you have the usual hunter multishot or AoE on the adds. GG.

oh yeah...he summons some guys called "nightmare Illusion" that deal like...5000dmg on cloth wearers but only have like 450hp

He's easy if you happen to have shaman, our guild took him down and all we got was a crappy sword.

-he deals shadow and nature damage
-has a mana burning chain attack
-cast AoE sleep (affects everyone) during which time he attacks someone (hadnt figured out yet how random is his choise)
-summons 3 Nightmare Illusions continuosly during the fight(u can see the ground around "bubbling"
fight:
keep all ppl in raid close to eachother, excpet healers (and ranged mana users) who should be apart from eachother, so they dont get mana-chained
as soon as illusions are spawned kill them, not only coz they deal massive damage, but also becoz he may cast sleep on everyone and illusions might kill ppl in 1 blow
the only problem with him may occur when he casts sleep and chooses someone to attack - ppl should have some healing pots ready to use when he wakes them up, coz all the healers will be sleeping, or use any kind of aggro control method they have. the MT should have enuff HP to sustain his attack untill raid wakes up.
my suggestion is also to the healers: dont be static, be aware of where he is, if u see illusions will spawn near u, move away (they are slow)

Took him down last night, guild's first attempt at Edge of Madness. Got him at 22% first time, and took him down on second attempt.
Just keep him mana drained to keep him from burning your casters' mana, and have a couple of rogues deal with the nightmares. We tried using ranged dps for nightmares in our first attempt, but rogues seemed to work out better...

this fight is funny :)
He's one of the 4 possible bosses that spawn at Edge of Madness when you use the Alchemy potion on the brazier. For tacs, just have people with instant damage spells drop the illusion's the second they appear (theres a smokey effect just before, so you can prepare). Shamans or Mages are pretty good for them. they dont move very quick, and have ~500hp, but they'll hit for 5k+ like said in earlier posts, so getting rid of them is a priority. Also helps to "hide" the main tank in the middle of the raid, so one of the illusion's doesn't drop him :) the boss himself is pretty bland, just does some kind of mana drain.
We got the sword (looks good) and 2x Dream Thread.
