Azjol-Nerub is the Kingdom of the nerubians which stretches under most of Northrend. The kingdom is being invaded on two fronts, from the scourge on one side, and from the faceless ones in the depths, and their king, Anub'arak, has been slain and raised as a minion of the Lich King. Two dungeons are located here, a dungeon of the same name,

Azjol-Nerub was an empire of great strength when the Lich King arrived in Northrend. Despite ferocious resistance, however, Scourge forces managed to overtake the subterranean kingdom and slaughter its inhabitants, the nerubians. Scarred by years of war and abandonment, this vast domain is now occupied on two fronts.

Getting to Azjol-Nerub
The entrance to

is in the Pit of Narjun in

(/way 27.26, 50.85). Jumping down one of the holes will put you right in front of the Dungeon entrance, or you can follow the path around and down. At the T-junction, bear right and then left and the Dungeon entrance will be directly in front of you.

The summoning stone is right next to the entrance to the Dungeon.
Normal vs. Heroic Azjol-Nerub in Wrath of the Lich King Classic
In Wrath of the Lich King Classic, Heroic modes become available at level 80 with no specific attunement or key requirements. The primary differences between Normal and Heroic versions is the loot table, which will be covered in the separate Azjol-Nerub Loot Guide.

Azjol-Nerub Achievements in Wrath of the Lich King Classic
Dungeon achievements for Azjol-Nerub are divided into Normal and Heroic. Completing these achievements successfully requires finishing the objective in the correct dungeon mode. Each Dungeon achievement rewards 10 Achievement points.
