These are mushrooms lying on the ground that glow green. They're surrounded by level 63 and 64 non elites.

They are all over the area some glow and some do not glow could be a bug seem to be a slow respawn time.

I just noticed that, too. What I noticed is that the glow is only on the stalk. So, until I walked around the cap of the shroom, I didn't see any glow at all.

There's plenty of Nutriments scattered about, but you will have to kill a fair few of the giants, as they wander all over the place. Also, try and do it when there's not many other players about, competition for nutriments can get quite fierce!

This was an aggro nightmare for me. I think once you attack a Bog Lord his friends come to his rescue. Tried doing it from 63 - 67 and still an aggro mess. But I guess if you get a good group going it might make the dying process less painful ;)

I noticed there is a pack of 4-5 bogs that wander on the western tip of the area, which is also the closest to the quest giver. I went around over by 32,60 (Ungula is there) and theres a way to go into the area from there which i was able to solo after dying 2 times trying to get in the other way.

i just did this on my 64 enh. shammy and had no prob with this one. pull one at a time and your good. and as pantar says "watch out for their mushroom spores" that is true but an easy one to deal with. 1. use cst "combat scrolling text" or watch your chat window. when it says "Fungai Giant or Bog Lord throws a mushroom spore at " just take 3-5 steps back and you will be fine. you do have about a 5 sec delay as to when the message appears and when the thing goes off.

As Priest, you can just fear all around in an instant cast, pick up the nutriment and face the consequences afterward ;)

hehe :P as priest (I am) you can easily handle 3-4 of those on same time, i put vampiric embrace (gives me health for all dmg i do nearly manafree) vampiric touch (gives me mana for all dmg i do + makes good d.o.t.) shadowword pain (about 1600 dmg over time) and starshards (totally free from mana) then i fear them make some mind blasts and mind flays while theyr running around and when theyr back they are allready nearly dead-dead. i gues this method could work for locks to except they cant heal or shield themselves.

I did this on my level 63 hunter with no problem. Two nuggets of information you might find helpful:

1. There is a constant line of them patroling down the middle of the area. If you watch long enough you can see where they fade out and stop. Work around this area and you can most times only aggro one mob at a time.

2. The mushroom that spawns can be targeted and "killed". And at level 63 when I "killed" it, I got 12 xp. In my case I left my pet tanking the giant while I took the mushroom down (in many cases before it exploded.)

Easyily done as a 62 hunter. They're around the ground so you can't miss them, however most of them are right next to a bog lord.
For a hunter, first put your pet on passive, then lay a freezing trap, pull the boglord into the trap, then aspect of the cheetah to the nutrient. Loot it, run out of agro range from where the mob originally was pulled from and then Feign Death. Easy way to get to them without having to kill the bog lords. Although the bog lords also drop bog lord tentrils for http://www.wowhead.com/?quest=9743 ; also rested (or not) they give nice exp. But if you're stuck for time try my method. Any class with CC should be able to do it like this, for example mages just sheep it, loot and run away.

A tip for doing this as a Warrior (level 62 required for Victory Rush (VR))

You can proc Victory Rush for killing the mushrooms, so this is what you do: Fight the Bog Lords until he makes the mushroom, then pop Whirlwind, which should kill the Mushroom, then use the VR on the Bog Lord to finish it off. When the Bog Lord dies, you get another VR proc to use on your next Bog Lord.

im confused with your instructions. "find bog kill shroom kill bog get nutrilet" what? be more specific plz. so far found few shrooms laying around but cant get anything by killing and if i wait those shrooms that are thrown will disappear. (do those thrown mushrooms have anything to do with this quest?)

Shrooms are just laying in ground. no killing required. fairly easy for hunter

They are on the GROUND around 28, 62. They are mushrooms kinda hard to se just run around oyu will find them.

I had a hard time finding these until I realized they are all laying on their sides half-buried in the muck (where I assume they were discarded). Until I realized that I wasted a bunch of time running to every glowing mushroom I could find causing a total agro-fest. So yeah, they are 'shrooms, just not upright ones. Some are just stems with no caps so they look like little logs. And when I ran this, "Find Treasure" did not show them on the mini-map, and they did not sparkle like a lot of items do. They glow with a greenish haze.

I can see many of the mushrooms I need, but I'm unable to pick them up at all. My cursor hovers over it like it would anything else. Doesn't become a cog to loot it or anything. Eh?

You kind of have to peel your eyes to find them as they don't sparkle/ glow like usual quest items.

I love how it's not even implied that the quest-giver has a reason that she needs to stay put, so she just sounds lazy. "Here's what we'll do: I'll stay here!"

Most of the quest items are closely guarded by bog lords and fungal giants, and they have a bad habit or falling on top of what you are trying to gather. For that reason you may want to consider kiting the mobs away from the discarded nutriment so when it falls over dead, it's not obscuring your access to the quest item.

No problem doing the quest. Problemis whem I went back to turn it in, she's nowuere to be found -- waited almost 10 minutes and gave up.

So I finished the collected the nutriments on my lvl 65 druid with no problem. But when I came back to turn my quest in, the quest giver was being attacked by a gaggle of starving fungal giants/bog lords. I thought it may be part of the quest so I start helping but we were easily overwhelmed. There had to be at least 10 of the suckers. So I died, and when I ran back to my body and rezed, she is no where to be found. The yellow question mark appears on my map, but no quest giver. Anyone else experience anything similar?

Also, a word of advice, when killing the giants to get to the nutriments, try to lure them away from the nutriment you are going after. If they fall on top of the nutriment when they die, it's impossible to get to it.

• Accept the quest, A Question of Gluttony, from Watcher Leesa'oh at coords 23.2, 66.2 (East of Spawning Glen).
• Travel east to the vicinity of coords 28, 63.
• Grab 10 Discarded Nutriment from the ground.
• Travel west to coords 23.2, 66.2.
• Turn in the quest to Watcher Leesa'oh.

Description

I was wondering why the bog lords were crossing the road to go to the Spawning Glen - they must be starving for some reason. This just will not do!

I mean, normally I wouldn't get involved, but if they continue to eat all of the sporeling pods they'll wipe them out!

Here's what we'll do: I'll stay here and you head to the Quagg Ridge to the east and look for dietary clues as to why they're raiding the sporelings.
