Had only gotten this quest after I killed Nyth for the week, had an opportunity to go at her again, but no drop for this quest item. SO it seems it HAS to be your first kill of the week to get it.

Nythendra's Heart can be obtained through the LFR version of the Emerald Nightmare instance.

Finally, you have to visit raid instance, and today we join a group to The Emerald Nightmare. You have to defeat Nythendra (it's a first boss of raid) and obtain her Nythendra's Heart.
Few tips:

You can do this quest in LFR mode, thats cool
You must have no loot cd on Nythendra and that's not cool
There are many players with the same task, so you often can be invited to group, where boss is already killed and if you leave, you will get 30 min deserter debuff
This is penultimate quest of alchemy chain, you are about to finish

There are many alchemy profession quests in Legion, 32 total, check out under the spolier, if missed something. You also need to be at least 800 in Alchemy to learn the final quest reward — Recipe: Spirit Cauldron, all others can be crafted with any skill progress.

The Emerald Nightmare: Rage Fire

Travel to the Emerald Nightmare and acquire Nythendra's Heart. Bring it to Alard in Dalaran.

Description

Now that we have all the ingredients assembled, we need one last thing.

The fire of my forges burn hot, but not hot enough to work these ingredients into glass. For that, we need more heat. The heat of a dragon, to be exact.

I'm aware of one that has emerged from the Emerald Dream in a corrupted state. Corrupted or not, a dragon's heart burns with enough heat to melt the strongest of materials.

Bring me its heart and you'll have your conduit.
