To get to the top of Serpent's Overlook speak to Mishi right next to the quest giver in Pearlfin Village.

The teleporter to Serpent's Overlook is next to the Quest giver in Grookin Hill/Pearlfin Village depending on faction. It's a little dragon named Mishi you talk to, and she is tiny. She looks like the playful dragon's you rescued earlier.

For Horde you gotta speak to Mishi, the little red dragon, next to Cho. Theyre sort of near the flight path in Grookin Hill.

At what point do you get this quest?
I think I missed it, since im exalted with the Pearlfin Yinju and im now starting the quests in Dawn's Blossom. Can someone give me a pointer when to get this Q?

This quest comes later on, after most of the zone. I got it after the Temple of the Jade Serpent; not sure if it always comes there or just whenever you've finished the other zone storylines. You get a popup quest from Admiral Taylor to the effect of "get back here ASAP" which, after a few more steps, leads to this one.

Also, you have to use the item he gives you that you will find in your inventory. i.e., you don't click on the shrine itself.

It seems possible that one can complete the quest without getting the FP, and then be Seriously Outta Luck. EDIT: If you have a friend with tandem flying mount (vial sandstone drake, etc.) they can schlep you up there.

Mishi is nowhere to be found at Grookin Hill; and I was spending too much time fleeing for life to look for her at Pearlfin Village (where they said they had never SEEN anybody as $#!+-all stupid as I was).

If you fall off the mountain (like i did, it sucks) get back to the top by going back to Pearlfin Village, and right clicking on the same serpent you took as before next to the quest giver.

*Highly recommend talking to flight master before falling off so you can just use any flight master to get back up.

An awesome in-game cinematic plays when you use the item. Best I've seen in the game, and I've been playing for over 5 years. I like it even better than the one after killing the Lich King. Not quite up to the level of the xpac promo cinematics - but then, what is?

Made it to the top of the mountain, fine. Where is the bloody shrine? Clicked on everything that even looked like a shrine, no go. There's a thing that looks like a shrine, complete with bansai tree and medallions. But this is not it (so I'm told). Is the quest not working? Or am I just dumb?

--Okay, flew off the mountain using the flight path, then flew back. The shrine 'appeared' complete with gear wheels, behind where the flight path drops you off.

The quest is easier than it looks as usual with most quests which aren't properly described. Anyways yes, easiest thing to do is take the ride from the little red serpent who's just floating next to Cho, the serpent will fly you straight to top of where you'll need to be. The shrine will indeed have gears over it,
just click on Heirloom and watch, or skip the cinematic and the quest will be done.

Since I've done this quest 6 times now, I was curious to see what happens if you leave Serpent's Overlook after the cinematic, but before turning in the quest.

You can take the taxi to Dawn's Blossom or the Temple of the Jade Serpent and ride into the Serpent's Heart area where the enormous Sha appeared. There are no mobs spawned in the area (yet - after you do the next quest, there will be lots of small and medium-sized Sha), so you can wander around the area without any hostile threats and admire the Sha close up. He isn't a mob, just f/x.

If you are outside Serpent's Overlook or Serpent's Heart zones, the Sha isn't visible, and you just see the ruined, post-cinematic version of statue.

Interesting to see how the phasing is handled, anyway.

If you miss flightpiont on serpents overlook make sure you have your hearthstone on cooldown stay as close you can to overlooks gravyard and use player stuck command in help tab then you get to rez on top of serpent overlook.

If you really liked the cinematic (like I did), you can use use the item near the shrine before turning the quest in to watch it again :-)

The Shrine is located at the top of the three levels at the top of the mountain. Little grey thing.

Previous comments sort of hit on this but: The indicator on he map is wrong. Go to the top and use it at the grey statue.

It has highlighted text that says "Cho Family Shrine" when you mouse over it. So if you don't see that, you know you're off.

If you wish to keep The Jade Forest as green and beautiful as it was when you arrived. DO NOT TURN IN THIS QUEST! Instead, after the cinematic concludes, abandon the quest. If you are going for Upjade Complete, pick one character to complete it, so that your other characters can keep it unblemished. After you abandon the quest, all the destruction will vanish and the zone will look like it did when you first arrived in Pandaria. You can then travel by road or flight path to Pang's Stead in Valley of the Four Winds to meet up with Chen Stormstout and begin questing there.

Shadowland's levelling in this zone, the map's shrine's location is wrong. It's on the highest level of the 3 platform, it's small and grey. Took me a while!

Cho's Family Shrine coordinates are 44.5, 66.9, near where Misha drops you off on Serpent's Overlook. Shrine at next lower level is not the correct shrine even though the quest points you to that spot.

I must say, <name>, despite their skirmishes with the hozen, I've never seen the jinyu so militant.

This troubles me. We must discuss it another time, however. I have come to ask for your assistance.

The fresco, where last we spoke, is nearly unveiled. I am certain that it holds ancient wisdom - knowledge that the emperor would have us remember.

My meditations alone may not be enough to discern its meaning. Please, take this heirloom to the shrine of my ancestors. I shall require their assistance.
