Note that having it show the names of the turtles above them makes it much easier to find them when there's 8 million other people trying to kill them.

As of 11-14-12 this quest is mildly bugged. When you take the quest it shows 0:6 but doesn't say tortoise flank (should be 0:6 Tortoise Flank). Furthermore you can't always loot the turtles. I had to retake the quest 6 times before it worked for me properly. Judging from the forums I am not the only one. So be patient and retake the quest. Hopefully they will fix it soon.

This quest becomes available after completing Jailbreak.

When this quest and The Pearlfin Situation are complete, the quests Family Heirlooms and The Elder's Instruments are unlocked.

This quest is really annoying. So there you are, a great hero, but your people won't tell what the next step is if you don't go and get rations. And to add insult to injury your people are picky, too! Not just every bit of tortoise meat will do, oh no!

Upon handing in this quest, the following scene takes place:

Pearlfin Villager says: Wh... what is that?
Pearlfin Villager says: Is... is it some sort of giant flying whale?
Pearlfin Villager says: It is so much larger than any of the Pandaren balloons... Does it belong to the outsiders?

Sky Admiral Rogers says: Admiral! It's good to see that you are okay.
Admiral Taylor says: Thank you, Catherine. It's good that you're here: With full carrier support we can push north-
Sky Admiral Rogers says: I'm afraid you'll have to push forward without us.
Admiral Taylor says: What?
Sky Admiral Rogers says: I've been ordered back to the main battlegroup to provide carrier escort. The full might of the Alliance navy will arrive in two months' time.
Admiral Taylor says: What am I supposed to do until then? I've got no men! We don't know where the Horde are, or how many we're dealing with!

It's a little strange though... you're trying to convince the Pearlfin that you want to befriend them... and then you kill 12 of their tortoises for 6 flanks!

Description
