One of the npc monks drops healing orbs, and another drops healing raid you can use during the fight. Be careful to stay out of the aoes that come crashing down, as they did almost a third of my life every time they hit.

Does anyone have coordinates to the entrance of the tunnel? I can't seem to find it...
I am in front of something that looks like it but it is barred by a closed door.

Once you accept the quest make sure you stay there and dont go turn in other quest. It seems that the npcs despawn if you go away, you need to accept the quest and stay there the door will open.

During beta I recieved ~1,036,462 experience for killing him and 323,400 for completing the quest.. overall a very lucrative endeavour.

edit: Well, my experience for killing him number seems crazy high, but that's the number I *think* I remember seeing. Unfortunately I didn't have my combat log tracking experience gained. If anybody could confirm that'd be lovely.

If u go away from the cave where u defeat the sha, the npcs despawn. any ideas about where u can find them after? they dont seem to respawn in the cave ever...

if like me you are phased and cant get it done for achievement group up with some one who is doing it and stay in room you will get kill too for achiev

How do i unlock the quest chain to lead me to this quest? I have looked all over and do not see any available quests

As a warlock I kept getting killed very easily. I noticed that I was able to run back and keep fighting.

Also, I was able to stay at the entrance and cast my spells from there and would not get hit as much.

- Thinning the Sik'thik
-The Search for Restless Leng

came back and they were gone.

Took me a couple of times as a afflock to get used to the mechanics. Just keep moving out of the AoE zones and grab a heal here and there when you can. It would have been easier to use Grim of Sac as you don't need a pet, the shadow pans will help you out if you get mobbed.

Just did this as a 89 BM hunter (swapped to an offensive pet with no growl) as of patch 5.1, IDK if it got nerfed at any point along the way as its my first time doing it, but I dont even think I got hit during the fight, or at least not that I noticed. Run you can just move when he puts a large white swirlies under you, or just run around the room the whole time the adds usually go to the NPCs and you can spend the entire fight attacking the boss.

If you do like I did and ran out for whatever reason, go back to the shrine of seven stars and on the bottom portion of the shrine is the quest giver. 84.37 61.68

It seams that lots of people are having trouble picking up the quest chain..... i found that i had to complete. The Taking of Dusklight Bridge before i could get this chain, hope this helps.

I've found that the easiest way to do this as a melee is to just continue circle strafe around him while attacking. It is very important that you don't get hit with the AoE attacks (white circles) he drops on the floor directly underneath you. As long as you are continuously moving, you won't take any damage from these as they'll always be in the area you just left.

Died 3 times as a combat rogue during this quest. Each time I ran back into the cave, they were still fighting. Was able to complete the quest. If you die - make sure to run back into the cave, you should be able to pick up where you left off.

I had a little trouble with this one at first and died 3 times before I figured out just to run back in and don't rez until he is low on health. Then rez, hit and complete.

Having trouble getting to the last part of this chain. I killed Sha of the Hatred, Taoshi was all "yay good job" and stood there after I turned in the quest. I incidentally had a dungeon queue pop up and waited 15 seconds to see if I had anything left to do for the next part of the chain. Nothing happened so I joined an instance and came back to an empty room. No Sha, no Taoshi. Wondering where I have to go to pick up the trail again.

Guys, I've read your comments, but I still can't find the next quest giver.
I've tried going to the Shado Pan NPC at the Horde Shrine, but it only gave me "The Shado-Pan Offensive"

If you don't know where to start this quest chain seek out Hawkmaster Nurong at 51 87.

Aright so if you are like me and want to kill him for The tranquil master achievment but haven't done any quests at all in the zone then here's what ya need to do: You need to go to the Gao-Ran battlefront and speak with Taran Zhu. Pick up his quest and every other quest you can find there. Continue to do all the quests and as you progress in the storyline Taran Zhu will eventually travel west to the bridge. Continue to do the quests there and he will travel to Rensai's watchpost where he needs to be. After he is there do the quest that leads you to Hawkmaster Nurong a bit below the watchpost and then he will lead you back to Taran Zhu. After all that is done he will give you the quests to go down and kill the Sha of Hatred.
So basically just go to the Gao-Ran battlefront and do every quest you find - just progress through the story.
Depending on how much you've quested in the zone Taran Zhu may already be at the bridge or at the watchpost, if that's the case just pick up the quests from there.
All the quests took me about 20-30 minutes to do.

If you cant find Taran Zhu and you think you completed all the quest in Townlong Steppes, make sure you completed The Taking of Dusklight Bridge

You pick the quest up in Townlong Steppes but the quest done in Dread Wastes. Once complete, you go back to Townlong Steppes to turn it in

I skipped this quest thinking it was a bread crumb quest to take you into Dread Wastes.

Description

The end of our hunt is upon us. We have gathered the strongest the Shado-Pan have to offer, and with your strength to aid us, we will defeat the Sha of Hatred and choke out its influence on the world.
