There's something wrong with this quest. Upon accepting it, I couldn't find Lindsay anywhere. After abandoning it, I wasn't able to take it back. Now I got stuck in a new phase with the whole camp empty.

Lindsay Ravensun is an Anagram of Sylvanas Windrunner. Just like Arthas' little boy ghost in Icecrown.

It uses the same number of letters in her original name (Except the letter 'R' is used only once in her assumed name).

Quest still bugged as 02/08/13, Lindsay won't spawn and abandoning the quest will make you get stuck in the phased area, making it impossible to pick it up again.

I can confirm this quest is still bugged as of 17/05/14.

If you get this bug, I suggest you do the following:
1. Delete your WTF, Cache and Interface folders. (Found inside your WoW folder, most probably C:\Program Files (x86)\Blizzard Entertainment\World of Warcraft, or something similar) (//EDIT: If you don't use the Curse Client and install addons manually, I suggest you copy the Interface folder so you don't have to install them all over again)
2. Restart your computer
3. Log on to WoW and see if she has spawned.
(This is a standard procedure. The GM will most likely tell you to do this anyway)

If she hasn't spawned, do the following:
1. Send a ticket (using the in-game interface)
2. Tell them you've already deleted the folders, and she still hasn't spawned.
3. Wait
It shouldn't take too long, a day perhaps. The GMs are usually fast on such matters.

This is still bugged as of 9.1 patch. I put in a ticket and a GM completed the quest for me in less than 48 hours.

If you get to this part and Sylvanas is in the basement rather than Lindsay, it helped me to replay the questline with party sync, and it seemed to reset and work with progressing towards Ace in the Hole.

This was still bugged for me in patch 10.2.6 and I could not see the NPC in the basement. Koltira was also nowhere to be found once I abandoned the quest.
To complete this quest, I ended up having to party sync with a level 10 alt on my second account. This reset the questline and I was able to turn it in once I redid all of the previous steps.
Annoying, but at least it's quick with flying.

This quest is still bugged as of 11.0.2

Lindsay Ravensun does NOT appear in the basement and Koltira phases out once you accept the quest. Here's a work around for completing the quest and how to reobtain the quest if you happened to abandoned it.

1. If you were like me and thought if you abandoned the quest and grabbing it again would resolve the issue, here's the solution to how you can reobtain the quest when Koltira is phased out. You'll need a friend or a 2nd WoW account and an addon that auto accepts quests when you click on a quest giver. Make sure it also complete quests instantly when you turn-in / click on a quest giver. Once you've done that, all you have to do is invite your character to a party and turn on PartySync. Once PartySync is on, you'll be phased to the original zone and you'll be able to see Koltira once again. In order to grab the quest again you need to leave the party, and click on Koltira as fast as possible to accept the quest again. This may take a few tries.

2. On the quest Lindsay Ravensun Revealed, you'll notice she's not in the basement. You'll need a friend or a 2nd WoW account and an addon that auto accepts quests when you click on a quest giver. Make sure it also complete quests instantly when you turn-in / click on a quest giver. Invite your character to a party and turn on PartySync. You'll then see Lindsay Ravensun in town near Koltira but you can't turn the quest in because you're in PartySync mode. All you need to do is to leave the Party, and click on Lindsay Ravensun to complete the quest before she disappears again. This may take a few attempts because she phases out quite instantly when you leave the party. Once you've done this, you can now move onto the rest of the quest line and Sylvanas will now be in the basement where Lindsay should of been originally.

A GM wouldn't help me on this situation so I had to figure this out on my own without replaying the entire zone through PartySync. Blizzard Bug Report team are dumb sometimes. My GM who responded to my ticket told me this quest was working 100% as intended. And yet, this quest is still ihaving issues to this day....

I was informed that that worthless woman, Lindsay Ravensun, would be here to support me in this battle, but so far, she's done nothing but brood within the basement of the greathall behind me. All the better, I suppose. She was a bit of a distraction.
