Part of the Horde questline for the Wrath Gate event. This quest line is very long and spans the entire length of Dragonblight. Quite honestly, I consider this one of the most important quest lines (thus far) in Wrath. A must-do for any hordeling. :)

In quite a few of these chains there are optional prequests. I will not list these, despite them being in the quest series list, because they are just that: Optional. I will list the LATEST quest available that will start the chain, or the one most likely to pick up while completing other parts of this chain.

Additionally, these quests are Horde Only. I, unfortunately, do not have an Alliance character on the Beta, so I do not have access to any alliance quests. Sorry!

Step names are purely flavor. They generalize what that part of the chain leads up to/is about.

I highly urge everyone to read the quest text. This quest line is quite possibly one of the most epic in Warcraft history and is highly worth the time. Lore lovers and haters alike should enjoy them.

I'm so lost as to where to go for The Kor'kron Vanguard!
quest helper doesnt show it and I did "Find" on quest helper and the npc is in nagrand is there another place he is at? I am just completley lost in this part can someone help me find this npc? (I found him but I don't know if this is the npc i talk to in nagrand or if it's someplace else)

Please people, fellow players remember this QuestHelper / TomTom or any others will just (Most of the time) put you in a general area as to where you can do the quest. Its not a 100% thing. Taking the time to read the quest is the best way. Yes we all want to get to 80, but remember once you are 80 you will be sitting in Org, or IF with nothing to do until Raid time, Remember right before Wrath came out how you could not wait for something new to do?..... Yeah take your time and read the quest and enjoy!

Edit: PS I saw that QH was going to send me to the Outland. I knew this was wrong so I wanted to check here before someone made that mistake. Happy Questing!

It doesn't really tell you, though. It says 'Northeast'. Since 75% of the zone is northeast of Agmar's Hammer, these aren't the most useful directions in the world...of Warcraft.

And the coordinates given above are a lot more north than northeast.

I'm on the quest chain, and just get done with the dragon bombing quest. I go to turn in the quest from Wyrmrest to Kor'kron, and I turn in the quest to Saurfang. When I do, my WoW crashes, and I log back in and miss the ENTIRE cinematic. Luck me, right? : [

I was actually able to take this quest at lvl 71 after doing all the prequisites. I hope that i can do the whole chain at this lvl, but im not getting my hopes up.

You must do ALL of the prerequisite quests before this one and it should be noted that you can do some of them out of order. For instance I was able to finish The Forsaken Blight before I did Blightbeasts be damned. As sunsmoon states the Step names are purely flavor and are a general outline of how the quest progression should go but they won't require you to do them in that exact order. Just be sure to go back and double check see if you missed anything because as of today I can confirm that the quests are working.

I am lvl 73 on my paladin, and I couldn't get this followup either. I assumed I needed to be level 74 as had been stated here - so I continued to quest. In my wait I completed In Service of Frost, In Service of Blood and In Service of the Unholy - and as I handed those three in, The Kor'kron Vanguard became obtainable all of a sudden, and I was still level 73.

OK, here we go. I did this whole enormous chain with my lv 71 character.

I was noting the reputation and experience i got with this char.

I just fear the reputatin is a bit wrong with Warsong Hold, maybe it is, because some should have been to the offensive in general, but the XP i´m 99% certain it is that:

Total Reputation you will get

Orgrimmar: 780 REP
The Taunka: 1050 REP
Hand of Vengeance: 900 REP
Wymerst Accord (or whatever it is): 500 REP
Warsong Hold: 3.915 REP (this is why i doubt the numbers are correct or not, because i think it´s too much rep with them, so i will do this chain again with my last alt avaliable for now and then say if i am correct or not)

The experience:

Supposed experience you will get on this chain: 421.965 Experience (I think i missed to note some experience i got, so i will do again with my other alt and correct anything wrong) maybe it´s 500k, idk, so i will recheck, also it´s a good chain, the BEST i eve did!

Also, you can do the sub-quests too, while you are doing this chain, the other quests the NPC´s will do as you go to thae same place can be done! Extra XP for all!

Like the ones to kill scarlet members, they are not part of the chain, but as they are at the same place or at least near... extra experience is always welcome!

I will see if a lv 70 can do it too ^^

I've done all the Pre-Quests before this one and yet I've still can't get this quest, I'm level 75 as well, anyone have any ideas?

just did it with my 73 frost dk...was a freaking blast...i'm not head over heels about the lore in this game but it was awesome. just wait on the event to start at the Undercity and stay with Thrall. I did die once when i drew the aggro of the 2nd boss. All in all, pretty awesome quest line...mad props to Blizz

The whole Kor'Kron Vanguard quest line is almost completly related to the above post, in origin.

Too bad most of WoW RP is pretty much dead.

Blizzard is notorious for copying ideas. For example, ever hear of Haris Paltin in Shat. City? lol. Anyway, just an example.

Oh, and lets look at Warhammer.
Notice how Warhammer Online's release changed WoW, espically with patch 3.0.1, (known to most as the 'Hammer Patch')

A side note, yes, I play horde and the questline is amazing. (cheers to its creator, Alekander Mikhail Andro)

About this quest: It´s a very good quest, specially because of the trinket that gives +50 crit rating and the pants that usually gives +50 crit rating!

So it´s quite useful to do it while at level 71. Specially because you get 100 crit rating very easily!

By the way: I didn´t have time to do it to give the correct numbers because I´m giving a pause in WoW Oo

I can't seem to do these last few quests for the achievement. Overlord doesn't have this quest for me. Went to talk to Saurfang by the gate. No quest. Went back to Wyrmcrest where I had already done some of their quests. No quest there either. I finished all of the previous quests so I don't understand what I'm supposed to do now.

-Edit- Nvm, must've been a glitch or something. Logged out and logged back in. Now Overlord has the quest....weird.

Ok so I've done the quests. Watched the cinematic ( Which was amazing.) Now what?
The queen is sat with her consort in front of the gates and she keeps telling me to come to her but all she wants to show me is the cinematic again. Is that it? Do I just move on now or is there more here to do?

Did they remove this whole chain? I'm level 76 and I've done every quest in Dragonblight, but this chain was never made available to me. I would have thought they'd at lease let you be a part of the cinematic even if you couldn't attack the Undercity. This was my favorite quest...

** Edit: I lied, re-logging did the trick, can still do the quest up to the cinematic... but I still wanna take over the Undercity... =(

I just did this from the Horde side for the first time.Four and a half years later and it's still incredible. There's no way I could explain to a non-player how I could get chills watching a cartoony video game cutscene, but it happened.

Informing the Queen, Blightbeasts be Damned!, Agmar's Hammer, All Hail Roanauk!, The Forsaken Blight are the five quests required to unlock the final quest chain beginning with The Kor'kron Vanguard! and ultimately rewarding you with an epic in game movie.

Each of the five quests above mark the completion of a quest chain. Use the links above. Some side quests are quite convenient to complete in parallel and the series commencing with The Flesh-Bound Tome involves Koltira Deathweaver and will not be missed by true fans of Warcraft lore.

Just finished this quest line for the first time horde side...and you got robbed. The Alliance gets a sweepingly epic and heroic story culminating with Bolvar Fordragon rescuing you from death at the hands of a lich. Horde side...you help make the blight that the Forsaken unleash on everyone in their betrayal. If you have not done this on the Alliance side, definitely put the time in.....even if you are far beyond level 72.

As of 7.3.5, Overlord Agmar did not appear for me on his throne after handing in The Forsaken Blight. I was going to log out, but he eventually appeared after waiting a couple minutes.

I believe a quick log out and log back will bring him back sooner.

If you're like me and using questie in Wrath Classic, this quest has a TON of prerequisites, and the last one is All Hail Roanauk!
This one takes forever to get too, so ignore it until you've done all the ice mist village stuff and the Tauren stuff.

I did all 61 quests listed as prerequisites, but this quest did not become available. I did the Venomspite area quests (New Hearthglen and Wintergarde targets) and after completing "The Forsaken Blight" which took me back to Agmar's Hammer, THEN it became available.

The taunka, brave and powerful new members of the Horde, because of you! Our super-weapon against the Scourge, tested and perfected by you!
