You don't have to kill him and it's suggested not to do it in a party, reason is he chases the boar around in a circle but he gives you just enough time to loot it and run, he will attack you if you are still looting.

I cant do this Q.. if i call the pet from that fat Grulloc dont attack me the pet do not show up.. and if i stand to close and i call the pet.. he kills me..

At 60.6, 48.6 there is a hill (just south of Grulloc) that has an adamantite deposit. Use the whistle from there.

I was 30 yards away and the whistle worked fine, move quick though once he chases the boar he isn't gone long.

Successfully summoned the dude at 30-31 yards (just outside rogue shoot range). Huffer does take a few secs to spawn, but if you bolt in and SHIFT+Loot youlll get the sack in time to run away.

There's a little knob of a hillock just south of him, I wasn't able to summon the pig from the top of the hillock, but about 3 steps down (toward Grulloc) was good enough.

Just summon the pig at the last red line before where grulloc is standing.. works nicely for me^^
And for druids >= lvl 68, u can just loot then change into crow and fly away since grulloc doesn't cause u to be in combat when he chases after the piggy. hope this helps cheers=D

When Grulloc starts chasing the boar, he yells "Porkchops!" and later he'll yell "Where piggy go?!" which is your cue to get the hell out of there if you've not already done so, as the boar has despawned and he's on his way back. Ideally you should already be mounted and out of his range by then.

Easy as a level 68 druid.

Once you summon the boar, run up to it. Get the sack and use flight form to get out of the way.

The pig doesn't spawn instantly after using the whistle...But as soon as it does, Grulloc chases it. I ran in hoping that it was an insta-spawn and I got totally owned. However, my soulstone was up :D

easy as any level druid, but dont whistle to close to agro the dude, i used it next to the large fire.
after that i prowled, moved aside from the giant then snatched the bag and prowled out of there.

Weird, I just did this and he was nowhere to be seen. No real evidence of anyone recently killing him, however I did the group quest to kill him a few hours earlier which may have something to do with his absence... I was about to loot the sack and turn in the quest with zero issues.

Okay, I neglected to read the actual quest info or read comments before I did it.... but crazy easy for any hunter with Misdirection.

I just put my pet on stay (about 40 yrds away), MD'd him, ran in and grabbed the bag. Pet died, of course and I ran away a little then used Feign Death. Grulloc reset, and I popped up, mounted, and flew away.

Of course, reading the comments here would have saved my pet a death....... but that's what they're there for, lol.

Just did this yesterday, it's a very easy quest...
I stood about 20-30 yards straight in front of him, used the whistle and just took the bag,
piece of cake;P

I used my whistle as soon as I saw the zone name come up and the boar instantly made a run for the guy, it was a lot further away than the 30ft people are commenting about.

The boar did lose aggro at one point, so it was lucky I did have power word shield up, because he hit through that and did about 2k damage ontop, so err on the side of caution if you are going to be spending a little more time gathering the items around him.

grulloc is impossible to kill, so don't even try to go for him. the piggy only lasts fro about 2 minutes, so you have to work fast.

I was quite suprised when he killed me - naxx25 geared tank in a few hits after becoming enraged.
I changed strategy - i kited him in flight form away from sack and then returned and quickly used it.
Didnot even know that i should use whistle ;)

Yes bonfire co-ordinates are good I moved to the little hillock just in front of it used the whistle to summon huffer and just picked up the sack, called my tawny wind rider and flew straight up was easy enough for me thanks to the commenters to mentioned the bonfire

Description

<name>, I have a pet boar named Huffer. He wants to help you to have some fun with one of the nearby sons of Gruul.

Grulloc inhabits a place known as the Cursed Hollow. When you get there, let Huffer loose. The gronn will have a fine time chasing him around, and you will retrieve the bag that he guards and deliver it to Baron Sablemane.

To get to the Cursed Hollow, head down the northern ramp and east through Dragons' End. The hollow is on the eastern edge.
