There is a small group of guys that walk the path that your have to kill. That starts the quest :)

A group of three invaders mounted on elekks that path around the road. When you kill them, one of them will drop the item which starts the quest Murkblood Invasion Plans A or Murkblood Invasion Plans H.

As of 4.3.2 it doesnt matter what reputation you are. I got it with exalted.

A couple of comments about Murkblood Invaders who walk "the path", as though there's only one path in Nagrand, lol. They aren't referring to any of the paths inside Sunspring Post.

There are at least two packs of these mobs: one pats the path coming in from western Zangarmarsh to Garadar; a second pack pats back and forth past Aeris Landing.

The plans appear to be a 100% drop.

You don't need to kill all 3 for the plans to drop.

If you're a rogue, stealth & sap one and wait til the other 2 walk away then kill it.

I have killed these 3 mobs over ten times, and the plans still didn't drop. I have every questline except this one and I am revered with Kurenai...

if you're doing this for loremaster like I was and the plans aren't dropping, try going to do The Totem of Kar'dash - Totem of Kar'dash . I did that and got achievement credit when the quest was ready to turn in - didnt even have to actually turn it in!

I killed the mobs about 20 times already, and no plans. I have done the escort from the village quest already and still nothing. Any clues? (I have timeline selected to BC)

Murkblood Invasion Plans was supposed to have 100% drop rate, right? That's what others say when I was reading other threads. Is this a bug or something that blizz should look at too?

People in the comments are saying that the mob have a 100% drop rate within the game, but me and others seem to have trouble with the mobs actually dropping the quest (even if we did everything we are supposed to do, ex. being neutral with them first). I saw a video linked to this page, and around 0:40, the player states that the quest is actually a 20% drop rate. I'm not sure if this accurate or if it is actually a 100% drop rate and the game is just bugged, but I guess for now keep trying and be patient until a bug is confirmed or the quest drops.

Murkblood Invasion Plans (Alliance) or Murkblood Invasion Plans (Horde) is dropped by Murkblood Invader.

Drop issue seems to be fixed. Just killed them on lvl 70 and got the plans.

Tweaked lvl 20 and Druid Night Elf , still no drop after too many kill , I'm exalted with Kurenai ,any idea?

Edit : I played with another alliance , lvl 20 ( unfriendly with Kurenai) then farmed until Neutral but didn't drop Plan

i have confirmation from GM:

I've read your ticket and I see that the item to start the quest doesn't drop.

I completely understand the issue mynamehere, and in this case, please be advised this item requires the character to be Level 25 in order for it to be dropped.

so i guess just get lvl 25 to get the plans, before that its no luck currently despite the quest will show up in the area at map. i assume this also applies to The howling wind. had to skip autobot,staff that just directed me to these comments,staff that directed me to specific comment but it was speaking how user had dropped the questline when he was sent to shattarath.(didn't apply to me as i had already done every other quest i can do) until i finally got latest GM who said the above text.

Doing Loremaster in March 2024, you do need this quest. Some previous comments say it is no longer needed, but I did not find that to be the case. I still had to do this one.

The Murkblood Invaders patrol the roads in Nagrand. The exclamation point marker on your mini map is not an accurate location, since they move around. You'll want to fly along the roads (the roads around Sunspring Post/towards Oshu'gun are a safe bet) until you eventually see the invaders riding their elekks. There were 3 of them together. Kill them. Murkblood Invasion Plans should drop, which allows you to pick up the quest and do the following 2 quests to help complete the Murkblood portion of the Nagrand Slam achievement for Loremaster.

I was getting pretty frustrated that I couldn't find them, but just be patient and you'll run into them eventually. Good luck!

I'm finally friendly with The Consortium but every single time I kill the 3 travelers on Eleks, it does not drop the quest for me, only silver pieces and Netherweave. The kills were mostly near the Aeris Landing but a few times now I've been close to the path that goes into Zangarmarsh. I've tested to make sure if I've completed the quest by typing "/run print(C_QuestLog.IsQuestFlaggedCompleted(9871))" but it returns as false. What am I missing?

This wouldn't drop for me at all (Level 62) So I went into Chromie time. Dropped first kill.
I don't know what to recommend if you cannot access Chromie time, sorry.

Take the Murkblood Invasion Plans to Arechron at Telaar in Nagrand.

Description

The parchment holds a crudely painted map of Nagrand. There is a big red 'X' where Telaar would be on the map. It would seem that these savages are planning an attack on the city. Take the Murkblood invasion plans to Arechron in Telaar.
