This quest is bugged for me. Archmage Aethas Sunreaver is locked hostile due to the sha debuff on him and won't let me talk to him. Don't know if I'm missing anything here but if I'm noobing out please let me know where.

This is Lor'themar's speech afterwards (for those who want to refer back to it or simply hearthed out after turning it in).

Champion, may I have a word with you? In private...?

You are a hero of the Horde. Your deeds in Northrend and during the Cataclysm are the stuff of legend. For this reason, I trust in your discretion.

I am a ranger, not a politician. But like it or not, the mantle of leadership has fallen on my shoulders.

My people, who have suffered through so many challenges and betrayals, look to me to secure their future.

We Sin'dorei were driven to the Horde by the bigotry and distrust of the Alliance.

Now, I look at our Warchief and I begin to see the very same racism. He is willing to throw away our lives for his agenda.

Know this: I won't stand idle if the Horde interests conflict with those of my people. I may reconsider old Alliances.

Keep your eyes open, champion. We are all in this together... for now.

Maybe a possible foreshadowing for the Alliance's next playable race? Or just some stirring of the pot for the inevitable Garrosh patch?

Is this the old chamber that we used to house that one naruu in to make pallies, back in the BC days? I don't recall.

If you pull the mob far away and kill it (around dummies will do), the NPC's won't notice and continue killing each other, bugging the event until next reset (I think). Or maybe just until they kill each other. For the record, Aethas defeats Rommath; Garrosh's guy loses.

Do or don't, as long as you know what you're doing :p

I had a problem where I completed all the parts and Lor'Themar didn't show up to turn it in (he will show up in the room after you defeat the Sha). I had to abandon quest and do it over again and he showed up the next time.

I think the problem was that I didn't open the box and I killed the Sha after someone else had opened the box. Not sure though.

After finishing that quest something weird happened to my character.
Whenever I use the portal to get back to pandaria or use my HS (which was set to halfhill), it kept porting me back to Silvermoon.
Had to take a flight to UC, then zep to Org, and HS from there for it to work.
I would assume it would have worked in UC, but HS was still on cd.
Anyone else had the same issue?

For those of you who may be a bit confused as to where to go, proceed to where the target dummies are in the area where you can blacksmith. You will see a rock robot....that is the Arcanis Mechanica. He will call your name. Talk to him and then go down the ramp behind him.

I've tried relogging, exit game, abandoning the quest, deleting cache + WTF, and they're still trying to kill eachother... I'm out of ideas :P

The detailed location of the quest locations are below. The coordinates following the description are from Carbonite Add-on and are approximate.

1. Locate the Arcanis Mechanica - When you enter Farstriders' Square, he is in the Northeast building. It is a giant robot. He will direct you to go down the tunnel behind him, which leads to the second part. (86.5 , 32.9)

2 & 3. Speak with Archmage Aethas Sunreaver and Speak with Grand Magister Rommath - When you go down the tunnel, you will see both Archmage Aethas and Grand Magister Rommath. You will have to speak to each one respectively to gain credit. After you speak to each one, the box in between them will become active and you will need to click on the "Intensifier Disk" to start section 4. (92.0 , 37.4)

4. Contain the Experiment - Once you click on the disk, a Concentrated Sha will spawn with 5.9 million hit points. It goes down fairly quickly as you do increased damage and all the NPCs in the room assist you. You should still be in the room with the box. After you kill it, Lor'themar Theron is standing in the doorway for you to complete the quest. (91.2 , 37.6)

Completing this quest grants the achievement "Rise of the Blood Elves" for Dominance Offensive.

Well, as of February 21, the many times reported bug is still present (at least on the server i play). I tried logging on and off, switching between chars, exiting game... nothing happened, nothing helped. So I submitted a ticket, GM responded within 20 minutes and promptly fixed Rommath and Aethas fighting each other. On my question what was wrong he simply said "they were just stucked".

I apparently did things in the wrong order and was not physically able to complete the quest (NPC would not spawn). I abandoned it with hopes to pick it back up again but it's not respawning at Dominance Offensive. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

For me, I didn't realize you had to talk to the robot thingy that calls your name. I finished the rest, then came back and talked to him. After that, the ? appeared on my map but the NPC was nowhere to be found. I logged out and back in, and he was there.

Quest title is a reference to the movie Seven http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0114369/ where towards the end the main character gets a box with.. well, just watch the movie to find out :D

I have reason to believe that part of this quest in Silvermoon mechanically takes place in Pandaria. You see, when I opened the box and got phased to the sha version of the room, my _NPCScan addon found a Zandalari Warbringer.

Talked to the necessary NPC's for quest completion and killed the Sha Beast but couldn't turn in my quest as the NPC wouldn't load. I think the phasing was bugged. Just relog, worked for me. :)

The Sha will not currently spawn on EU realms. Tried reloading, logging onto another character and back... Nothing worked/ Submitted a ticket and bug report to blizzard. Was hoping to get the mount today lol. Oh well.

Completing this for the faction rep mount - ~~quest is bugged, and after the sha is dead, it won't give me credit for "containing the experiment".~~

Ah, I figured it out. In Legion, all the guards in the room are level 110. This means that when the sha spawns, you must kill it before the room full of guards descends on the sha to 1-shot it.

I sat there and spammed attack until it spawned and I managed to 1-shot it before the guards could.

If you are having trouble getting credit for the last step:

as of 7.0 the guards are 110, and they kill the sha that appear almost instantly, denying credit. I had to relog (no need to abandon), click the box again, and then put an aoe up to make sure to tag the mobs, and I was able to complete the quest.

Anyone getting stuck on this during Remix, it's the same solution as before. Talk to the robot first, and if you forgot, either go far enough away (I went back to Lor'themar) then back in, or logging out and back in should fix it.

Description

We are trying to uncover the secrets of one of the mogu artifacts Garrosh insisted we investigate. It is proving most difficult, as anyone who probes it magically is greatly affected by raw, negative emotions.

I called in the assistance of Arch-mage Aethas of the Sunreavers in the hopes that he and Rommath could crack this puzzle. They asked for you specifically - apparently you have some relevant experience?

Go to the chamber below Farstrider Square east of here and see if you can assist them.
