Varatus isn't currently where they're supposed to be. I've run through the cave (well, tunnel really) over and over. The vengeful souls are here, but not the NPC that drops item I need for the quest. Met another person in the same spot and they said they put in a GM ticket. Bah.

Cave entrance is Northeast of Baine, you can see it on the map, kill Varatus the Conqueror for the Spirit Essence of Varatus.

Varatus is similar to the Latin "veritas," meaning "truth."

DO NOT move out of the circle that the quest mob puts on the ground, it will pretty much almost kill you, then by the time you realize what's going on, she will probably hit you and you will die. In this case, it's good to stand in the crap on the ground, since if you move out of it, it will do a ton of damage to you!

This information wasn't listed anywhere except for on the mobs ability, so I thought that I would put it here to save people a little bit more searching!

Cave entrance is SOUTH of the quest map marker not on it!
Co ords are 64 50
3 easy adds to clear to mini boss.
Just interupt the boss's spell to make the circle on the ground other poster poster mention can kill you not even spawn.

i had a really hard time doing this quest in chromie time (sub-50) until i pulled it all the way to the edge of the room, practically in the hall. the waves of Bad™ that come at you if you're in the middle of the room were unavoidable for me, and did so much damage that i couldn't outheal it as a balance druid. once i made sure to stand in the doorway, i only had to dodge one wave, vs struggling to stay in the circle while dodging in the center of the room. not sure if it was RNG or luck that made the waves not come directly at my face when i was in the doorway, but just thought i'd post a comment in case someone else has a similar issue while time traveling to do the dominance offensive campaign, lol

Description

While I was in the Vale, I came across an ancient pandaren recipe for Memory Wine. I believe this brew can coax some helpful information out of Shan Kien.

I am needed here, so I have no choice but to ask you to recover the essential ingredient for me. We need the spirit essence of a mogu that lived in the time of the memory we wish to see.

You should be able to find just such a spirit inside the Path of Conquerors, to the northeast.
