If your guardian Salhet disappears, just go do another quest for about 5 min and come back. Hell be there.

Salhet was running around with another player when I went there, so I just started killing hyenas myself. I got credit for all of them. He was not in his place when I got back to the "?", so I logged out and logged back in and he was there.

Salhet is awesome, does the same damage as a non-combat pet.

After questing more with my favorite hunter Salhet, it turns out that if you run up to a Hyena and stand there
and do nothing that eventually Salhet and the Hyena will fight it out; and to my surprise Salhet (with no buffs
from my blood death knight) will on occasion hit with melee.

Salhet’s melee swing hits Bloddsnarl Hyena for 5415 Physical. (Critical).
Salhet’s melee swing hits Bloddsnarl Hyena for 5109 Physical. (Critical).

After watching him fight it out 3 times it seems he gets 2 hits on average over 1 minute and 30 seconds, however
for one fight he was on a roll and was getting hits of around 2400 about every 6 hits and got the Hyena down to about
70% of its health instead of the usual 95%. Good ole Salhet no matter how many times he misses he always tries his best.

If you don't help Salhet out, after 1 minute 30 seconds the Hyena will win and Salhet will say:

Salhet says: We’re done practicing so soon? Very well, I’ll see you later.

Good ole Salhet, a nice guy no matter what, a lesser hunter might have blamed me for not helping (ha ha).

I must be missing something here? I clicked on Salhert, but he does not fall out to go to where the hyenas are located. In fact he continues with his training swinging the sword. I "Abandon" the quest , click on it again same thing "NOTHING"? I will come back to see if anyone else can help?

For those wondering where you find Salhet before you start killing the hyenas, just starting killing them on your own (you'll get full credit towards the quest) and Salhet will just turn up on his own. You don't need to meet with him before beginning.

Salhet is a very lazy person - after "resting" for a minute or so (AFK), he assumed we were done training and ran off. How rude.
