Hunters don't even need to use the talisman to kill them - their pets will do the job.

Anyone else seeing the Enormous Gyreworm Bunny as labeled as the npc for End quest, below Belrysa Starbreeze? I've actually come across a Enormous Gyreworm Bunny in Deepholm but only on my minimap while tracking beasts above Crumbling Depths. Im very curious about this little fellow, well, enormous fellow.

the npc's name is "belysra," but the item and the way she introduces herself in the quest is "belrysa."

as of now this Q is broken 8/4/2011... I made a ticket to GM and he said it was a phasing issue and that now he sorted it out for me.
that are looking into this as well. i hope they fix phasing sooner then later :)

Actually i jus did this quest today and thought it was bugged too.. as a warlock my demon was killing it .. so i turned my demon to passive and killed myself and completed the quest. hope that helps :)

Quest has been bugged for some time, Belysra's Talisman does not unfreeze you as it should. Quest is easily beaten despite this, but be aware.

I initially tried completing the quest without using Belysra's Talisman (because I apparently really enjoy playing with fire...? **).
I half expected to get one-shot -- Nope! The Dark Ranger just swings at you with her sword(s?) the entire time you're frozen. The super stronk gunshot ability she apparently used before has since been removed.

But after reading a fairly recent comment saying the item's bugged, I actually abandoned the quest just so I could try doing it the way the game actually intended for us to...
...and yes, the item is definitely still bugged. You use the Belysra's Talisman and... nothing happens, it goes on its 60sec. cooldown, and you're still in the Ice Trap.
You shouldn't have a problem killing her though. Just be cognizant of this so you can be ready to get some damage in as soon as the trap wears off.

*character is dead and corpse is 9999yrds away in a no-corpse-fly zone, and corpse somehow managed to get itself glitched into a solid wall*
Me: "WHY DO I INSIST ON DOING THIS TO MYSELF?"
*does the exact opposite thing of what the game instructs --again-- on the very next quest*

I can't lead you there with the enemy tracking you.

One of Sylvanas's scouts has been following your tracks. You can't lead the Forsaken to the place you seek. Take this talisman and walk along the road just north of here.

Let the ranger lure you to her trap and use the power of the talisman to break free and counterattack.
