When you complete this quest at the crate, you get a very short cutscene and the nearby Slain Watchman becomes available as a quest giver.

Ummm anyone else get frozen since the patch? The Slain Watchman no longer offers a quest?

No quests for me either on Spirestone

I opened a ticket and a GM gave me the quest. Problem solved.

currently bugged on Uldum. Funny, a group of 6 worgen noobs accumulated at the slain watchman and all confused :)

I submitted a ticket and off to an alt I go

edit:

the next morning shortly after the dailies reset I logged on to this character and found the quest was there waiting for me..
weird. so perhaps its weirdly tied in with that event?

Ok, So as of 9/29/14 this is quest is still glitched. But here is how to get around it...

Que for pvp.

At level 15, que for dg.

Destroy hearthstone, open help, and click "I'm stuck", it should take you back to a capital city.
(this I did not do, so I need confirmation)

Unless this is your first time doing the quest, and even then, you probably dont feel like doing the 15+ level starting zone. In fact, I suggest queing for pvp lvl 10 until you hit lvl 15 anyway.

As a druid, I did pvp until lvl 14, than used teleport:moonglade to escape this wretched place.

If you are unable to get the next quest from the Slain Watchman, try relogging. The quest should be available then.

Find the Crate of Mandrake Essence.

Description

Ah, yes. The effects of the Curse cannot ever be fully cured as far as we know.

With treatment, however, your mind will remain yours... and not that of a wild animal.

We are fortunate that the treatment worked on you. Normally, I can only treat recent infections.

We'll need to continue your medication if we're to have you reverse the Curse.

I will need mandrake essence to brew another batch of my serum for you. You will find a crate stashed beneath a shed southwest of town.
