Rageclaw Den (loc 33,82) - about 30 seconds walk south east of Lights breach.

Make sure you have the quest "This Just In: Fire Still Hot!" as they share the same location.

There are two types of melee based mobs in the area which seem to drop the required item, called a "Drakuru Lock Opener", at a 100% chance drop rate.

There are numerous friendly NPCs called "Captured Rageclaw". use the item in your inventory that looks like a hammer. Doing so will consume the item meaning you will need 8 of them in total.

I was solo when completing this quest although so I do not know if;
a) every group member gets a hammer.
b) freed Rageclaws count for everyone.

If I were to guess based on similar quests I would say a) no, b) yes.

Extra hammers are destroyed when the quest is completed.

rageclaw thank you_____! though rageclaw den probably lost forever and troll-rageclaw frendship lost forever... and also now i think of it, ragemane lost forever too. also brother in law. he gone. hrm, have you seen chiefs mate? i think she gone too.

At times they also say "No more mister nice wolvar!" when you unchain them. This is most likely a reference to the song "No More Mister Nice Guy" by Alice Cooper, the song itself was first featured on the album "Billion Dollar Babies" (1973). Classic.

As a troll myself, I felt a little uneasy when these guys muttered things like "Trolls die now!" after they grew 5 times and turned bright red after freeing them. Didn't think the game was smart enough to know I was a troll and attack me, but it made me juuust uneasy enough to take a few steps back when I heard them say this, haha. *sniff sniff* We're not all bad!

Item seems to be not working for all NPCs cuz i've been using 10 items on 10 NPCs and got only 2 done

What you are looking for is Drakuru "Lock Opener" to unlock the shackles of Captured Rageclaw. The item is a key, but looks like an axe and is easily missed. It is dropped by all local Drakuru mobs, specifically Drakuru Berserker, Drakuru Prophet and Drakuru Blood Drinker.

Once you have a Lock Opener you must find it in your inventory and use it on a Captured Rageclaw to free him.

The Lock Opener doesn't appear in the quest tracker, and you cannot right-click the captives to free them - you really have to dig out the key and use it explicitly.

Sorry, another !@#$ty quest. I see lots of prisoners but not a single Troll in sight (which are supposed to drop the key, no?)

Shall I wait now until the world server decides to spawn some Trolls? Bah. Moved on to the next region. Another dead piece of old content.

This is the last char I’m leveling. Next ones are all boosts. Content now, Blizz?

Chief Rageclaw at Light's Breach in Zul'Drak wants you to use the Drakuru "Lock Openers" found on various Drakuru trolls to free 8 Captured Rageclaw.

Description

Drakuru... You know who this troll is? I think bad troll are controlled by the Drakuru troll. They call themself Drakuru trolls - that how I know. Now you see why I am chief of Rageclaw. Smartest of all wolvar!

But that not why I talk to you now. Bad troll come and kick Rageclaw out of den. Rageclaw that no run away held as prisoner in village. You go to Rageclaw Den, southeast, and free captured Rageclaw. Kill troll for lock opener. You maybe kill many troll for many lock opener.
