Not the most obvious thing to spot if you haven't seen one before.

Look for light brown hills with a hole in the middle.

Don't bother going north west like the quest text says.

Head due east from the quest giver up the stairs to the area where the spiders are nesting. You'll find a bunch there.

They look like medium-sized, flat ant hills sort of. Not large depressions in the ground.

Attention:

- You need to be very near after you throw your grenade to get the credit. If you throw it and run off you may not get it.

-The small nerubi (little spiders) do not put you into combat and don't attack so dont bother with them.

This quest, obviously if you played it, pays homage to Gears of War. Throwing a grenade down an emergence hole of emenies in order to close it up and stop the flow of enemies.

This quest is a reference to Gears of War. (In the game you close Locust's tunnels by throwing grenades into it)

A little note for druids doing this quest that are lvl 77+ and have their flight form. You can't throw the grenades while flying. However, you can land next to one throw a grenade in caster form and pop back into flight form, avoiding getting into combat with the little crawlers that spawn when you bomb a crater. It makes doing this quest very quickly an easy proposition

Go to where the Nerbian cocoons and Hath'ar Broodmasters are. Just look left( west) of the quest giver and for steps, 2 torches on both sides . After you turn in youll get 3 more quests 1 for the same place, and 2 more for the area east (right)

The moment I read this quest I thought Gears of War. In the game, you throw grenades down the Locust emergence holes to seal them up quickly. Replace Locust with Nerubian and emergence holes with Nerubian Tunnels and you got yourself this quest.

Fly down and land on the little ant hills. Throw the grenade (should be on your action bar). As soon as it deploys, quickly summon your bird and fly up as the explosion spawns spiders. Done in a few minutes this way.

You can run back and forth between the same two hills, dropping the grenades in. Makes it less tedious than looking for five different holes.

Just throw the grenades into the mounds of dirt, and they will go off. The spiders that jump out die of the fire so u don't have to worry about them.

Because saying "east not northeast, I mean west not east and not northeast" and "by that building with the thing" and "it's like this tall" and "here's some coordinates because 100% of people use them" didn't do jack for me, I took a screenshot of the location and what they look like. You must be standing on the hill to use the grenade. It will spawn 6 or 7 Burning Skimmers that can't be attacked and die after a few seconds. The tunnel will despawn after the Skimmers die.

They don't look like "craters" really, but more like sand colored ant hills.

I had no idea what I was looking for until I just randomly hit the item and threw it into one, and then I was like "OHHHH."

So, don't look for a crater or a hole. Look for a big anthill.

this quest quickly became distracting for me when I realized I could get frostweave from the big nerubians AND the trolls in the cocoons.

cue spending 30 minutes running around decimating everything.

Fly to the area around 55,68 which should be just Northwest of Capain Rupert.

On the ground you will notice tan-colored "craters" and Nerubian Spiders lurking around. Stand on or get very close to one of these "craters" and then click the grenade you are given.

You'll probably agro a spider or two while getting all 5 craters done, but this should not cause any problems.

Do note that after you blow up a crater, several small spiders will be on fire and run out of the craters. You do not kill them, as like I previously mentioned, they're on fire and will die on their own!

Completing this quest will count towards completing Capain Rupert's tasks for Troll Patrol as well as unlocking 3 additional quests: Cocooned!, Skimmer Spinnerets, and Death to the Necromagi.

Captain Rupert at Drak'Sotra wants you to use High Impact Grenades near 5 Nerubian Craters.

Clever...

Just when it seemed we were getting things under control, they tunneled right underneath us and secured the shrine!

Now we're caught between two Nerubian armies and our predicament is worsening by the minute.

As our first course of action, we must stop them from reinforcing. Their tunnels must be sealed.

Take these grenades and throw them down their craters to the northwest.
