The Ice Revenants are found on the frozen lake, the Mirror of Dawn, which is large enough to be shown on the map, just east of Wyrmrest.

Get one down to 35% and use the quest item. While you're channeling, the Revenant will be lifted up into the air and when the channel is over, it will hit the ground dead and lootable.

If you are a caster and doing this quest you cannot have any dots on the mob at the time you use the crystal or you do not get credit for the quest.

Alright! Since all these quests are available at the same time...

Fill the Ice gem at 67 , 53 using Ice Revenants ( Ice Revenant )
Fill the Blood gem at 40 , 65 using Deranged Indu'le Villagers (Deranged Indu'le Villager)
Fill the Unholy gem at 46, 50 using Duke Vallenhal (Duke Vallenhal)

Find one of these mobs, beat them down to 35% (be mindful of dots!) and then use the proper gem.

Good to do the following macro so you don't have to keep in mind which of the gems to fill. If you use the questionmark as icon it will show when to use it as well:

/use Blood Gem
/use Unholy Gem
/use Frost Gem

Also also also! If you're a hunter, keep your cursor on the "passive" setting for your pet and be prepared to have fun with the timing. I waited until the mob was at about half health, made my bear heel, shot at the mob 'til it aggroed to me, then popped the gem. Wewt, easy!

In service of blood/frost both gave me 22550 exp (at lvl 74), but Unholy gave me 28214 experience.

Go to 67, 53 and start to fight a random "Ice Revenant". When the enemy has 25 % health left, use the received quest item to complete the quest.

The following line in the quest text is a reference to early WotLK when Frost was the tanking spec for death knights.

Alright, so it's pretty challenging as a level 100 with the latest gear so...

Death Knights! - Frost is the hardest because there's not really any undead by the frost revenants, so what you need to do is Control Undead when you do the In Service of Unholy, and mount and run your undead minion out of the Dragonshire. Make sure to avoid the Alliance units as they will target it and try to kill it (keep alive by using Death Coils on it). Bring it to the quest zone, attack the Revenants with your undead minion and keep the minion alive with a death coil, then once the Revenant is below 35% use the item.

As for everyone else, good luck! Haven't tried by stripping naked and taking rez sickness.

Tip for high level characters, use a G91 Landshark then channel the gem.

You can use Soft Foam Sword to decrease health of Ice Revenant below 35% without killing them.

Koltira Deathweaver at Agmar's Hammer in the Dragonblight wants you to use the Frost Gem on Ice Revenants and return to him with a Filled Frost Gem.

Description

The biting cold protects the death knight while repelling his enemies. He that commands the power of frost can incite chaos and destruction!

Take this frost gem and travel far across the open tundra of the Dragonblight until you come upon the Mirror of Dawn, east of Wyrmrest Temple. It is there that you are to battle the legions of ice revenants that dwell upon the lakes surface and take from them the essence of frost. Utilize the power of the gem when they are weak, <name>!
