Getting back down: Teleporter does NOT work! It just telelports you to the same spot as you got up there. If you are a mage you can blink before you jump off - still live - and get that falling down achievement!

I had to move forward from the teleport spot once I got up there, and into combat to finish the quest.

Watch out not to die on the platform(due to pvp or smth) as you will have to get ressurection sickness.

In the quest text the NPC mentions the "Arcanomicron." This is a reference to the Necronomicon, a fictional text from the mind of H. P. Lovecraft. This book of dark magic & summons was also integral to the plot of Sam Raimi's The Evil Dead series starring Bruce Campbell. This series has been referenced, as well as H. P. Lovecraft, throughout the game time & again.

Just as in real life, there is believed to be no such book in-game. However, there is apparently a map showing ley line intersections per the text in this quest.

Be careful, once you teleport, step forward to the outter circle, or else you'll wait for 20 minutes like me.

Just use the quest item, it'll port you up. Then, do 1-2 steps forward, but make sure you dont aggro any mobs. Once the quest is completed, you can either click on the quest item again and it'll port you down, or you just mount up and fly away.

Warning!: If you're only out to grind rep with the Kirin Tor, only follow this chain until you get to The End of the Line Otherwise you'll be wasting youre time grinding rep with The Wyrmrest Accord and one for Warsong Offensive.

Get close to and observe the projection atop the Surge Needle floating above Moonrest Gardens.

Afterward, return to the Image of Archmage Aethas Sunreaver at Agmar's Hammer with the information.

Description

This is a teleportation device. If I had to guess, I'd say that it leads to the surge needle platform floating above the Moonrest Gardens to the southwest.

<name>, I need you to use it to investigate what's up there. It appears that the device works both ways so you shouldn't have to jump off.

I expect that once you teleport up to the top of the surge needle, there will be some sort of apparatus on it to observe.

You should be able to use the teleporter from anywhere within the gardens.
