When you were searching for Kagrosh's body/backpack a corner before his body there was a locked "gate". You go through there and into the small tunnel and you shall find the Warbringer. Soloable.

to clarify:
after you cross the large bridge you enter what looks like a lab room filled with deathforge smiths and tinkerers. There is a heavy iron portcullis on the left side of this room. That is what you are looking for, head through and at the end of the tunnel is the boss. Easy solo

If you are a rogue you can simply Stealth all the way to him, don't even need to kill the two guards in front of him as they will not aggro if you attack the boss from his back.

Behind the gate in the same area as the prereq quests (Kagrosh and ending the Summoning ritual).

For casters: He puts on a spell that increases the cost of your spells by 200%. He is level 69, easily soloable.

Was unable to enter the gate, but i suicided at the gate and went trough as ghost, then rezzed up. Was able to continue from there. :)

edit: Was able to use the lever on the other side of the door upon exiting. After doing that the door would also open normally.

The key won't disappear after you turn in the quest even though you probably won't have any reason to go back there.

At this point, you are sent to Scout Zagran, for the second set of quests at Slag Watch:
Minions of the Shadow Council
The Fate of Kagrosh and The Summoning Chamber (can be obtained and completed simultaneously)
Bring Down the Warbringer!

You are now sent back to Blood Guard Gulmok in Shadowmoon Village for the final portion of the chain:
Gaining Access
Invasion Point: Cataclysm
The Art of Fel Reaver Maintenance
The Fel and the Furious
News of Victory

Note that other than Kroghan's Report, no quests are optional; all must be completed in the order specified to advance.

Just did this quest as enhancement shaman. The fight itself isn't hard, but the walking all the way there is a pain in the ass. The cave is full of mobs and you can't really walk more than 5-10 yards before one of them is aggro on you. Some of the warlocks walks huge distances so better be prepared for multiple enemies aggroing on you at the same time. Also, just a tip; Make sure you have hearthstone ready or the walking back is going to be just as hard as getting in there. Respawn rates are quite fast.

I stood in front of the gate, clicked on the key, got the hand cursor, put it on the gate and the color didn't change, and clicking did nothing. Why isn't my key working? Or, is there a keyhole that I'm not finding?

Defeat Warbringer Razuun, recover Razuun's Orders, and report to Blood Guard Gulmok at Shadowmoon Village.

We've made a lot of progress against the Shadow Council here at the Deathforge, but now it's time to finish the job.

I found a key among the items in Kagrosh's pack. At least he accomplished something before they got to him.

The key should help you to track down this Warbringer Razuun you observed at Legion Hold.

After you've hunted down and dealt with Warbringer Razuun, report directly to Blood Guard Gulmok. We must not keep him waiting.
