How to get Neutral with Netherdrake (Netherdrake Epic Mount Quest Starter)

1. Kindness
- Kill 8 Rocknail Flayers, Use Carcasses to Feed 8 Dragons (don't move!). Also make sure to travel a bit when laying the meat, as the same drakes won't eat twice in a row.

2. Seek Out Neltharaku
- Fly on your mount and find Neltharaku, he patrols slowly around Dragonmaw about a few hundred feet up. You'll have to be about 5 yards UNDER him to talk to him.

3. Neltharaku's Tale
- Listen to story.

4. Infiltrating Dragonmaw Fortress
- Kill 15 of any type of orcs in the fortress.

5.To Netherwing Ledge!
- Find 12 Crystals from the floating island SE of the mainland.

6. The Force of Neltharaku
- Free 5 Dragons by using the item on them, then killing the orcs they agro.

7. Karynaku
- Find Karynaku, she's the second story of the fortress.

8. Zuluhed the Whacked
- Kill Zuluhed and recover the key. I recommend pulling him inside so as to avoid the archers, and kill him BEFORE he summons his add. Use the key he drops to free Karynaku.

9. Ally of the Netherwing
- Return to Mordenai, you will immediately gain 42,000 rep and become neutral.

10. ????
- Blizzard has announced that next patch they will be introducing a continuence of this quest line, including the ability to get exalted and purchase or receive through extensive questing an EPIC netherdrake mount. You will need epic training to use it however, so save your gold!

Very easy to do if you bring a friend who's already done the quest

as long as they still have the key from killing Zuluhed, just bring them with you, let them use the key on karynaku after you have taken the original quest to release her, then just quickly turn in the quest once it is completed and done, took me about 30 seconds once i got to the ledge (gotta love the help of friends)

Don't start the next quest until you have your group ready; Zuluhead comes out and a bunch of archers start shooting at you.

Be alert & pay attention after accepting the follow up quest. You are STILL mounted. If you click on your mount button & dismount, you'll be dead before you can say, "oh $hit!" It's a costly mistake. & although I may be the only person *I* know of that attempts the "easy" quests when I'm half asleep, there may be others. If I can help just one person, my death was not in vain.

BTW, before you try to read between the lines, yes, that was sarcasm.

what if I droped the quest..and now I want to get it back?
i kind of have this problem. My friend saw it was low lvl so he abandoned it . and now I can't get the quest back .Anyone can help me ?

A word of advice? Kill Zuluhed before he casts demon portal, which spewed an elite with 65k health. This is why they suggest 5+ people in order to do this quest.

If your 85 & even halfway decently geared its soloable. just go after main guy & once hes defeated all the little adds will disappear.

If he despawned bc you flew away or something, just abandon and restart the quest. he'll respawn

That was weird. I am a lvl 83 hunter BM and a real amateur (no special gear, no raids, heirlooms or whatever stuff that can boost). I read through the comments and made a 5 second plan.
- I dismounted,
- cleared the area behind the dragon (2 netherdrakes) and the shamans in the tower to the right,
- accepted the Karynaku-quest,
- accepted the Zuluhed-quest,
- ran towards Zuluhed turning towards to door opening,
- when he was finished babbling I send the pet towards him,
- received 10 arrows in my back and ran into the tower, while turning to face him, he died.
Oh yes, there was some Neltharaku yelling but still.
No stress for this 5 group quest :-)

"Karynaku", literally translates to "Ashtongue" in my native language of Malayalam. Kary = Ash, Naku = Tongue. I find this delightful.

Description

It shames me to ask for your assistance once more, <name>, but you are my flight's only hope. Without my mate, the netherwing brood may die out completely.

Make your way to the top of Dragonmaw Fortress and find Karynaku.

We will be flying overhead. Should a break appear in their defenses, the might of the netherwing will swoop down to assist you.
