Hi all

I present You Storyline Decayed Roots. This Storyline is part of Azure Spanner which is criteria for Loremaster of the Dragon Isles.

Storyline in order I done it:

1. Breaching the Brackenhide - Investigate 3 area by removing roots: /way 18.8 37 /way 17.5 37 /way 18.4 34.7 during that quest you can do autoquest Stop the Spread.
2a. Cut Out the Rot - Slay 5 Rotting Treant and 10 Brackenhide Rotflinger.
2b. Ley Litter - Pick up from ground 7 Ley Crystal.
2c. Echoes of the Fallen - Use Brena's Totem on 5 tuskarr corpses.
5. Tome-ward Bound - First speak with Kalecgos then wait few sec and jump on Tome of Spellflinging. Using skill 1 and 2 slay 3 Brackenhide Putrifier.
6. Realignment - First press on Ley Crystal then on 3 Decay Infection placed around. Then Fly to 16.1 41.4
7. To Iskaara - See Brena 13.2 49.5 in bulding. Now You unlock Iskaara Tuskarr Renown.
8. Gather the Family - Pick Up 4 items:
- Decorated Teapot 13.47 48.56 to the left of the cook.
- Handcrafted Boat 13.89 49.48 on a tree trunk.
- Ornamented Shield 12.46 50.31 on right side from guardian.
- Stone Sculpture is in bulding enter 12.82 49.37 and is on left side on table.
Then place all in to Funeral Boat 13.1 48.6
9. The Cycle of the Sea - Speak with Brena and follow him then wait that long to see to press on Funeral Boat. Move will start.
10. Azure Alignment - See Kalecgos 39.4 63. To get to this location is best to use Fly master, if you don't have trawel there will take a lot of time ;/. That will finish storyline :).

If you are mounted on your dragon when starting this quest, the book that you should fly on doesn't appear. So you have to abandon the quest and take it again while not mounted.

I am not mounted and the book will spawn, but almost immediately phases out. I've dropped the quest and retaken it and it happens again. Not sure what is going on.

edit: If this happens to you, reload and try again. It finally worked.

I got into a state where the last step to use the "arcane spirit beam" just didn't do anything. If that happens to you, simply:
1. dismount the book (which will take you back to the beginning)
2. re-mount it - and Kalecgos will talk about having to take out the shamans again but you don't have to
3. spam 1 to travel forward - make sure you move as forward as possible before the spell changes, because it's possible to be close enough to trigger the next step in the quest (use arcane spirit beam to take down the giant), but you're actually out of range for the spell...
4. click on the ancient and use ability '1'

If you failed #3, just dismount and repeat from step 1.

So, I kept getting disconnected trying to complete this quest. The solution is to not use your mouse to move around. Use the keyboard only. I got disconnected half a dozen times before trying the keyboard method to move around on the tome. That finally did the trick.

I follow the quest, jump on the book for a wild ride, kill the 3 shaman's, use the beam on the Giant, but its not enough, but it dies and we rush to the cave. One says rest now and they all fade, NO Quest turn in.

After doing this quest about 10 times and not getting the turn in, I finally abandoned it and retook it. after riding the book and killing the shamans, mostly by riding over them I was super near to the Giant and saw an outline. Used the beam to kill it, and rode to the cave. FINALLY KALECGOS ALLOWED ME TO TURN IT IN. PHEW

Speak with Kalecgos to open the portal, then use what he summons to take out the Brackenhide Putrifiers and then destroy the Twisted Ancient.

Description

We must stop that tree! With these ley crystals, I can finally help. Speak with me when you are ready. I'll open a portal into the Azure Archives and try to bring out something useful. Stand back, it may be rather unstable.
